I love Tumi. I probably have about 7 items from the Voyageur collection alone. But I had to return this bag, and I'm probably going to have another favorite brand soon. This is too small, and too unfunctional. Look at the size and number of pockets of the men's line. Why would Tumi think that women don't drink tall bottles of water? That we don't have a lot of smaller stuff that needs pockets? And, for God's sake, making more of the lines available with multiple types of hardware - instead of 90% gold. TIMESUPTUMI. You need to get better connected to the TRUE needs of women.

Why are all the tumi women's backpacks more fashionable than functional? This backpack holds just as much as a large purse. I can barely fit my textbook and laptop in this comfortably. The only backpacks that have enough space and are fit for purpose are the men's versions. Why would Tumi think that women need less space than men? SHAME on you tumi!

I have another tumi backpack that is smaller so I figured this one would be of the same quality / standards. The straps are too long for a bag this big. It sits very low on your back so its impossible to carry anything with real weight to it without risking injury. Very sad about this. Straps adjust but the shortest length is rather long. I am 5'5" - average height - so I imagine most women will find the measurements to be the same.

Unfortunately, due to my back issues, I had to retire my handbags and opt for a backpack. I searched high and low and found this backpack. It's the perfect size, I have more than enough room to carry my daily essentials, along with anything else my toddlers decided to make me carry! I like that I can carry it to work and not look like a student, it's very understated and professional. I also got an organizer for it so all my personal items do not pile up at the bottom of the bag- which makes finding things much easier as well as give they backpack a more structured look, versus the relaxed slouchy look! The nylon looks like it's can be easily cleaned and somewhat withstand some light rain as well! The very best thing was that I was going to go to the Tumi store to get it as the prices were the same and I could immediately use it, but since it was pouring- I just ordered it. Order was placed 4pm ESTon Thursday and the backpack arrived 9:05am EST the VERY next day for FREE! I was blown away with the speedy customer service! I just LOVE Zappos!

What stood out to me most is thee fact that this bag hangs rather low compared to other tumi backpack styles. I wanted a larger bag to carry my law school text books (this comfortably fits one + a notebook / textbook stand) so the overall capacity is good. The issue is that because the straps on the shortest adjustment are actually kind of long, its not really a bad you want to carry heavy things in because it becomes uncomfortable and could lead to back injury. There are also some random accessories on the outside (like a key ring and some other metal ring without anything attached) that take away from the overall look. The leather is a bit plastic feeling but overall looks okay. The compartments have a plastic like lining (perhaps to reduce damage from rain??) but this also means that whatever is stored inside (perhaps a snack) cannot breathe... which creates humidity and rot in the compartment. The leather bag is a bit heavy actually so that's a bummer. The fabric one is so stiff and looks kind of cheap. Overall would not recommend this bag. Its too expensive to have so many issues, most important of which is that its not functional.

Bought this as a gift and it has been incredible. It has held up nicely over a year of daily wear and the styling and materials are exactly what we had hoped.

I love this backpack. I was a little worried from the reviews that it would be too small, but it fits my laptop and other work items perfectly, while maintaining a slim profile. It was expensive, but I’m hoping it lasts a long time.

Beautiful! I got it in mink as a new work backpack. It's pricey, get it on sale and it's definitely worth the price.

This bag is working for me! I've switched out my work bag a million times but this is fitting the bill. Perfect size, space for laptop and everything else you need but isn't bulky or heavy. And the price at Zappos can't be beat!

I love everything about this backpack. The material is rich looking; the bag is extremely light yet has structure. The straps are padded and very comfortable. The zippers are very smooth. There is a zippered laptop section (15”) in back, a zippered separate large section in front, and a third zippered section in front of that. Plenty of pockets. I am able to fit everything I need for work with room to spare. It will be good for travel as well. It was delivered very fast. Thanks, Zappos!

I am 5'3" and the scale of this backpack is perfect, not overwhelming like so many other packs. It holds much more than I anticipated and it's great how it attaches over the handle of my carryon roller bag. Just perfect and so glad I made the purchase.

I love the style, quality and features of this backpack. I would have gladly paid top dollar for it too but the straps are too long on their shortest setting so I could not get it to fit. I am 5’3” so no giant but I have never had this problem with a backpack.
