I researched and tested multiple cross trainer shoes before settling on these as my favorite. Others I tested included Inov-8 F-290 (best forefoot and arch support but rubbed my heel and the material didn't breathe at all during my workout), Nike Metcon 2 (too heavy and the lateral support hit the wrong spot on my arch), and the Nike Flex TR 9 (soles too thin/flexible for high impact HIIT and strange lacing around the heel as another reviewer pointed out). Originally I purchased the Reebok Nano in my typical running shoe size (1 size larger than street shoes) but returned for a half size smaller, which has turned out to be perfect. What I love about the Nano: firm/supportive (but cushioned still) sole which splits for flexibility, reinforced toe for burpees, negative drop and roomy toe box to encourage proper lifting form, breathable Flexweave upper, supportive heel sock with no slippage, excellent lateral support (my blisters are gone!), and grippy laces which don't come untied during my workouts. The only thing I don't like about the Nano: it is hard to lace the forefoot tight due to a combination of extra fabric in the front of the shoe/grippy laces/plastic reinforced eyes. This is a minor complaint though, for an overall excellent shoe which has improved my HIIT and lifting workouts immensely.

I am a daily cross fitter, and have many pairs of Reebok Nanos as well as Nike Metcons. This new version of the Nano is very comfortable. I have used it for olympic lifting, rope climbing, box jumps, burpees and running, and it feels comfortable for every workout. I feel like the top box is slightly wider in this shoe than the Nano 4, 6, and 8. The area around the Achilles feels very similar to the Nano 8. Overall really good shoe.

This is the best pair of sneakers I have owned! My feet are wide and I used to get painful corns between my pinky and the other toe because my toes were always so squished by different sneakers. It is stylish and I got so many compliments on it! I can wear them all day and my feet NEVER hurt. It is made for CrossFit but I don’t do CrossFit, I go to the gym and walk a lot.

I have worn every Reebok Nano since Nano 4. These are right up there with being the best. A little wider in the toe box than the Nanos in the past which in my opinion is a good thing. Also, they have a little wider base which has helped with stability especially with jumping exercises and heavy lifts. I also like there are better (not so bright) color choices and the toned down emblem since I usually re cycle the old ones for everyday wear since they are so comfortable and broken in. Not really a fan of wearing what used to be bright red or blue and say hey I'm into Crossfit running around doing errands but that's just me. They are true to size and width. Well worth the money and after you beat the hell out of them you can keep using them.

Good show for the gym, looks a little wide at the toe but that actually makes it more comfortable as it doesn't rub on the side. Like the fit and the look.

These are SO WIDE!!! I've never seen such a wide athletic shoe. They are over an inch wider than the shoes I am trying to replace. If your foot is narrow, these aren't for you.

These felt like flat bricks on my feet. The foot bed is wider which is great during workouts as feet swell a bit, but wow. There is no cushion in these shoes. I spent 30 minutes walking on my treadmill to try them out and was so relieved to take them off.

My personal trainer recommended that I buy a pair of Reebok Nano shoes for training. I noticed an immediate difference the first time I wore these shoes. They provide much more stability during my workout. They also look great too! I highly recommend these shoes for strength training.

These are marketed for "crossfit," but I needed a crosstrainer for working out to Beachbody at home (P90X, Transform20...). I ordered a pair of these and the Reebok HiiT TR. I liked them both, but these felt a little more stable to me. They have a wider toebox and seem to have less drop, which I like. I think I would have been happy with either shoe, but preferred these. I do not like the color, but Zappos was sold out of the more neutral colors and I didn't feel like waiting. I decided that I could deal with electric blue as I work out at home.

Love them. I was a fan of Astras before they changed the shape of their shoes. I am a medium width but like the roomy toe box. And the narrow heel. These are comfy and cushiony.

I looked up cross trainer shoes for plantar plantar fasciitis and these were on a list of recommended shoes on a website I found. They had ZERO arch support. After putting my orthodics into the shoes, I walked around the house. NO ARCH SUPPORT and did not feel very cushioned. The other pair I ordered, RYKA brand, had arch support and cushion and so I am keeping those. I guess if you have flat feet and wide toes like my husband, these could work but with a high arch and narrow feet, these are not my shoes. Flat wide feet would be comfortable in these but not narrow with high arches.

I always buy athletic shoes 1/2 size larger. I did with these and they are perfect. Nice wide toe box and supportive fit. Great for plyo or lifting weights. Any kind of cross training. And they are extremely attractive. A+ on the shoe and A+ for Zappos service and quick delivery.

Awesome! Best shoes with a wide toe box I’ve ever found! The toe box is very wide. I have wide toes and a narrow heel and they fit great.

I LOVE these shoes!! I was looking for new crossfit shoes because my old pair didn't quite work out. They never really felt like the right fit. These ones are beyond comfortable and supportive. I might even buy a backup pair I love them so much!! I purchased the white color and get so many compliments on them at the GYM! I think anyone would love these shoes!!

These shoes exceeded my expectations! I have a pair of the first generation nanos, and they’ve made significant improvements. I love that the tongue doesn’t slip around.
My foot is on the wide side of medium, and these fit great. I love the wide toe box and the flat sole. It’s perfect for transitioning from weights to cardio.

I love these shoes. A lot more support and cushioning than the previous Nano’s. I have wide feet and I like to be able to wiggle my toes in my shoe, and I can do that in these shoes.

I sometimes wear a size 5, but generally a 6 in closed shoes. The size 6 in this shoe felt too big - the lump for the arch was too far forward, and the shoe was a bit long for my foot. It felt like a 5 would have fit correctly. However, I have a high arch/high volume foot, and the top of the shoe was a bit tight. That is, it didn't seem sized for a high volume foot. Also, the black/white color, although it is exactly as pictured, was a little too snazzy for me, so I sent them back.

I was recommended this shoe by my trainer for the lower toe rise and wider toe box. The shoes fit pretty well, although I was hoping that they'd be a little roomier in terms of the width at the arch because of the wide toe box, however it's a smidge tighter than I'd like. (I normally purchase shoes in wide but it wasn't an option in this case.)
Aesthetics-wise, I'm not really a fan of their color combinations but as I'm only wearing these at the gym, I didn't care too much so function wins out. While the outer has mesh, it's not as breathable compared to my old Brooks which is not such a bad thing in winter but uncomfortable in the summer. (My feet usually run hot.)

Great CrossFit shoe. Durable - the material has an almost vinyl-like coating which protects both the foot and the shoe. This will last a long time even with heavy use.

I loved the wide toe box- definitely a highlight of the shoe. I can’t tell you how many sneakers have smushed my toes and caused issues. I agree that it looks wide, but I’m okay with that because they fit well. I did walk a few miles in them with an intermittent jog and I didn’t find them to have much in the way of arch support or cushioning. I wore them for an online workout in my basement and they felt okay. Maybe stick with high intensity low impact workouts vs high paced walls or running. I think just standing and walking around is ok to too, but jogging has too much impact.

Overall these shoes work but only AFTER I put inserts in because they have ZERO cushion. Less than 10 minutes into a high impact workout and my feet were screaming. Once I added the inserts, they felt much better. Not the best looking shoe but the wide toe helps with all the side to side movements of Insanity workouts.

I loved the look of these shoes! However, they did not provide any arch support and felt tight on my feet even though I selected a wide size.

I have had many versions of the Nano, the toe box on these are particularly wide and I felt like my toes were "swimming" I ordered a smaller size however my big toe was near the edge but the rest of my foot still had over an inch of room. Otherwise they were very comfy, but sent back to avoid tripping during workouts.
