I was unable to keep these as they were not comfortable due to an unusually high arch. The shape is also a little odd being wider around the toes. I had ordered a half size larger than usual based on reviews and that seems about right.

I have bunions that a women’s wide doesn’t usually accommodate, so I bought the men’s style in wide instead. I’ve tried countless hiking boots that all felt way too heavy, but these felt almost as light as my running shoes. I broke them in on a 6-mile hike and had no issues. Great boots!

These are super lightweight with a excellent arch support. Unfortunately they run a half size small. I wear 11 in Salomon and Brooks but these were small in 11. Aesthetically I wasn’t crazy about these but they would be extremely comfortable with correct sizing.

These are probably the most amazing shoes of any kind I've worn in the last 5-10 years!! Now, I know all feet are shaped differently and everyone has a different opinion in what they like in a shoe fit, but these shoes not only fit my feet like they were custom sewed around them, they also have unique features which I find to be outstanding.
So when I first tried them on I felt like I could barely get my feet inside...my first impression was "uh oh, another weird size shoe"...but after a few paces around the house everything began to make sense, I slowly realized I'd just never tried on a shoe that fit so much like a glove!! (If I had bought these in a store I might have immediately asked for a bigger size, however I'm glad I stuck with my original size. I actually put them up against my Vans, sole to sole, and theyre exact same length, even though the van feel way roomier inside.) And now having put 25 miles in them on 3 hikes, I feel ready to give a fair review.
So, the fit might be the most critical part of these shoes in terms of whether you keep them or not...and that being said they DO fit a little more "snuggly" than most 11.5's I've tried on (particularly compared to work boot 11.5's which are sized incredibly large). It must be said that one of the coolest parts about these boots is that they CAN fit more snug because of their unique glove-like fit and construction - the toe box is slightly more square than a normal shoe, but not ridiculously so like some of the other brands that make it look like you have duck feet. The slightly squared toe box means you can have your toes closer to the end of the shoe and don't need as much extra space up front (the extra space on pointy tipped shoes that can trip you up on rough terrain.) I'd say out of 99% of the shoes I've tried on and worn or returned, these probably fit the closest to the shape of my actual foot...like I said, the feeling is that they've been sewn around my foot, its pretty amazing. I guess the other stand out part about the fit, is that even though its precisely form fit around my foot, the shoe is actually quite robust, its not floppy or thin like a sock or a super delicate running shoe, these are still hiking "boots," they just fit like a freakin glove!! There is also noticeable arch support, and I'd imagine if you have flat feet you may find it to be too much arch support.
The second most noticeable feature has got to be the flat-ish yet nicely cushioned sole. The sole feels great on hard rocky ground as well as in soft sand, and really stable in rough terrain. Some brands have super cushioned soles which in my opinion cause my foot to bend too much at the toe joints on each step, they're just toooo soft, however these soles provide the perfect mix of cushion and feel without being too soft. The soles are also almost flat if not perfectly flat - so it doesn't feel like the shoe is tipping you forward in the way wedged running shoes might. The flat contour gives the shoe a relaxed walking feel and great control in weird loose terrain, the shoe doesn't feel like its begging you to run and punishing you for walk instead (like wedge soles can). I'm pretty sure that in the long run flatter soles such as these are healthier for the body and our natural locomotion, but that's probably a preference thing too.
These shoes are also super light weight, again another feature that really makes them feel like gloves on your feet.
I can't speak to the waterproofness.
The height on the shoe and the lacing system are pretty much perfect for hiking - nothing weird here to get in the way, just normal robust laces that work and really lock your foot in, and sufficient collar height to keep debris out and add ankle support if you need it.
The tread pattern is great, grips incredibly well on rocks and in the dirt, doesn't pick up mud, and is also pretty recognizable if you need to retrace your steps.
I'm ordering a second pair in another color just in case these are discontinued sometime too soon.

definately waterproof! I tested them in 4" of water for 2 min. and no leaks! ( thanks Gortex ) . Very comfortable and light ( less than 1 lb. each ! I got them a half size bigger than usual . I figured a boot this light would not have a very thick sole . I was right. The extra room alowed me to add more cushioning under the insole. Serious long distance hikers may even want to go a full size bigger. Amazing ankle support for a boot this light !

While the quality and construction of these are very nice, the sizing is odd. I would say it is at least a half size, if not a full size small. If you order your typical size, it is going to feel very narrow and will fit a "C" width foot better. Secondly, the toe box is very short and will not work with someone who has any sort of mass or volume to their feet; sizing up may help with this.
Beyond the sizing issue, these are very nice. They are feather light and very comfortable. There is near zero rise to the heel, which seems to be a common trend lately that I am very happy about. The padding and shock absorption is good and cushy for how light the boot is. It would make a great hot weather hiker or even a good light weight, warm weather, general purpose.

These are great! No break-in time, super comfy from the first wear. I haven't tested them out in the wilderness yet but they seem super grippy and waterproof so far so I'm sure they'll hold up well. They look really nice in person, like a high-top style. I love the all black option, normally hiking boots look goofy on the bottom. I normally wear a size 8-8.5 women's and got these in a 7. Perfect fit!

The boots fit perfectly, they are very comfortable and needed no breaking in. The water proofing seems quite good so far.

My shoe size is 10.5, so I ordered an 11. Fit was comfortable, except there was too much headroom for the front of my foot, which made a flapping sound on every step. Tried thicker socks, but that didn't fix it. Tried a thin insert, but that didn't fix it. Tried a thick insert, but that made the fit too tight. Returned it and ordered a 10.5, but that was too small.

Save your money. This isn't a $169 hiking boot or shoe -- maybe $79 tops. I have a new-in-the box pair of the older model (Vasque Breeze III) and did a side-by-side comparison. The Breeze III is a PERFECT boot -- so some idiot at Vasque decided to discontinue it. The old Breeze III tracks perfectly neutral with each step, just what you want for long miles on the trail. This new LT Mid is a piece of garbage by comparison. The "arch" support is in the wrong place and thus forces your foot into pronation as it articulates through each step. The Merrell Moab 2 or Salomon X Ultra 3 Mid GTX are far better lightweight hiking shoes/boots and retail for $30 less.

Great shoe. My second pair in three years. Strong, good quality and fit my feet nice. I won’t wear any other hiking boot than Vasque.

Ordered a half size up and still tight. Suggest ordering a full size up. Nice boots, wish they would have fit.

Just giving 3 stars because I don't want to ruin the ratings, but I couldn't even get my foot into these boots due to the tongue restraints. I have a large, wide foot with high arches, and wasn't even able to try these on.

These run a 1/2 size small. I am a 11.5 in most every boot I've ever worn. This particular pair the left boot is too snug-- feels like a 11.. Aside from the fitment, they are light weight and cushy in the sole. Decent water resistance with the Goretex. If they fit properly they would be great. I recommend ordering a 1/2 size up.

I've had size 12's that fit bigger than these(13). When you get in them, they are really snug. The other objection I have is that the sole is built up unusually thick, so that when you climb stairs, the surface of the soles bump hit the edge of the stair because they're further from the base surface of your foot. They also tend to feel thicker in the mid-sole area, giving a rocking feel.

These are the worst pair of Vasques I've ever owned. Purchased in June, the treads are already worn through to the base layers at the heel. This is pretty ridiculous at this price-point and I would have expected the manufacture to use something other than old bubble-gum for the tread. A very disappointing waste of money which will make me reconsider owning Vasques in the future.
