I have SERIOUS foot issues; hammertoes, severe high arches, size 15, so am predisposed to problems, such as finding a shoe to wear to work out in. I have custom inserts, remove production inserts as soon as receiving new shoes, in favor of the custom pair. After 3 attempts to find a shoe to wear back at CrossFit 55+ class 3X per week, my son suggested the NIKE Metcon 4 XD. At this point, cost is not a factor if I find a shoe I can tolerate after ruptured tendon repair surgery last August, AND THESE ARE THE ONES! Most comfortable, thin-soled work-out shoes I have ever worn. Felt like a second skin as soon as I got them both on and walked around the house a couple times. Next day at CrossFit, I looked forward to the Strength & WOD because my feet did not distract me with pain and/or discomfort, which is usually the case. My Left foot has gone into "drop" mode since the August '18 tendon repair surgery failed in May '19. I will NOT have another surgery as long as I can have a pair of these NIKE's to wear. I will alert anyone reading this, the cushioned shoes, like HOKA's or major running brand shoes, are NOT wise for work-outs. Get a pair of these NIKE Metcons and see the difference for yourself = they are designed to help us with the perfect combination of comfort/support/durability in our work outs. And most important of all = TAKE GOOD GOOD GOOD care of your feet! I'm a 66yo 6'4" 260# jock that's done a bunch of marathons, ultras and Tri's and it all ended when the two tendons in my left foor ruptured. Orthopedic surgeons CANNOT repair soft tissue damage in our feet and expect it to not fail 9/10 patients. So glad I did all the crazy stuff when I could because now I can barely stand up with out SEVERE pain, but these little NIKE's feel better than anything I have tried over the past 6 years! Best wishes and Happy Trails to all!

Beautiful shoe, great round toe for people who need a large toe box in their shoes. I put in my own arch supports, and the shoe is super comfortable. I bought the blue version. Wonderful color.

A great workout shoe for weights, rowing, TRX, etc. I have wide feet and was surprised these fit so well. I also have high arches so I may need to replace the insoles but I’m used to that. These aren’t the best shoes for running- they just aren’t designed for it. If you’re doing under 2 miles on the road/treadmill I think you’re fine- over 2 miles and I would wear running shoes.

I am a female who bought this male shoe for the design which wasn't available in women's and I love them! I wear a 8.5 women's so I ordered a male 6.5 and they fit perfectly. I wear them for Crossfit. I had Metcon 2s, which I loved (minus the squeak), and went with Reebox because I didn't like the Metcon 3s when it was time to replace them. This metcon is great! No squeak. The laces stay tight and tied. The arch support in there, and I have a high arch. They checked off every box for me. Love!

It has been a very long time since I bought a Nike shoe, but I needed something different for lifting. The first day I wore these, the difference I felt was great - more like a "why did you wait so long to buy these" thought. I opt for men's shoes due to needing a wider fit and after reading some other reviews where people mentioned they had wide feet and these fit them, I felt a bit reassured that getting a non-wide shoe would be okay. The fit feels snug but not too tight and that is with insert in them due to the high arch factor of my feet. Overall, I'm glad I made the purchase!

I bought these for my husband. He has gotten many compliments on them. The orange looks quite a bit "louder" than online. He has been wearing these as more of a casual, every day, shoe.

Best cross training shoes ever. I didn’t need to use my orthopedic inserts in it. Well done Nike. You have a new old customer for life.

I am a female-I wear 7-7.5 WIDE in a dress shoe with stockings but often have tp up a half size to get the width. I wear 8 regular in a Nike to give me the extra width and room for a heavy sock. I gave this information to the Zappo's phone rep (sorry forgot his name) and he suggested a 7 mens which worked just fine. 6/6 was his 1st suggestion but it was out of stock. He also noticed I had unused points and a coupon which saved me some $$.

Unfortunately, I have about size 13.5, slightly wide feet. Most shoes I can wear 13. Nike has to be a 14. These shoes fit and are perfect for the gym. I'm pleased.

I love these shoes. They fit great and have good toe room. They are a lot flatter that regular Nikes and and I find them exceedingly comfortable even for long periods of time. The red are BRIGHT.

This is a great shoe! Looks fantastic and fits perfectly as well. I wore in the next day for a HIIT workout and it provided a lock down feel while also providing the necessary flexibility. I would highly recommend this shoe for any exercise except for running.

Great training/lifting shoe. Provides excellent support for all my main lifts. Toe box area is a bit roomy in comparison to my previous Metcons, but not an issue for me. Another strong iteration of the Metcon line.

The fit was good, light weight and shoe was super fresh that you can feel the smell(which is rare with online shoe shopping).

Shoes look great, I think I should of gone a half size up though because my toes are right on the limit of the toe box. So far no discomfort though. I don't have this issue with the metcon free's or reebok nano's. I would also say they are a little narrow because I had to loosen up the laces quite a bit but I knew that going in. I got the Metcon's because they just look great!

I really love this shoe. Although I find the front part of the shoe a little larger than I’m used to, the support for the overall shoe is great for lifting and working out. I would not call this a running shoe but you could certainly treadmill it if you wanted to. The look of the shoe is really impressive and there is no “wear in” time at all. They also slip off in a breeze as opposed to a full running shoe. I will be a METCON user for quite some time

Love the Nike Metcon shoes for training but the color options for women’s is limited and usually too light/girly. I’m a women’s 7 in metcons and tried the men’s 6. The size was almost perfect. With socks a little thicker than usual would work.

I was between these and the New Balance Minimus 40. Ultimately went with these because they felt a bit more connected to the ground than the NBs. Nike typically runs a bit narrow and I have a wider foot but these are actually decently wider than previous Nike's I've owned. There is plenty of room in the toe box. These are great for lifting and HIIT with a little running involved. If I were doing more running and less deadlifting and such I'd probably go wtih the NBs as they were a bit more cushioned. Overall very happy with these and will have them for a long time!
