Functional: I got these because they're legit insulated, waterproof hiking boots in plain black, that I was hoping to wear as uniform boots during the Minnesota winter, because I'm in and out all day. They look good enough, but we haven't had any snow since I got them. They're certainly warm for hiking in the cold. Size: I wear a Mens 8.5D in most everything, but I got these in a 9D in case I need to wear a thicker sock for winter. But they're not quite roomy enough for thick socks, so I'd say they run true-to-size or maybe a touch small. Bottom line: Good quality, comfortable, and they look good for what I need them for.

well built. i prefer closed loops at top. open are difficult to lace.

Feels high quality materials, good fit, well padded ankle. Definitely one of your stiffer type hiking boots.

OK, but way over priced for what you get.
