Let me start by saying that Hoka shoes are the only shoes I wear anymore. Period. I have high arches and a wider foot and I’m in 50’s. I have two dogs that I walk multiple times a day on concrete. These shoes never let me down!! Before I found Hoka’s, I tried almost every name brand tennis shoe out there including Nike, Brooks, Adidas, Reebok, etc...Every other shoe almost left me with a foot that hurt — mostly in my arches, due to Plantar Fascitis. I don’t have that problem anymore and I can wear these all day, walk, jog, run, you name it. I wish they were cheaper — but getting ride of foot pain is priceless.

I love love LOVE my other Hoka shoes. I started running in my middle age and these are life savers. However the Stinsons are just too heavy for me. The Challenger and Bondi styles feel like old friends seconds after slipping them on. The Stinsons just hurt. I have a long foot on the moderately narrow size.

I have alot of leg and foot issues due to an injury 5 years ago. My physical therapist recommended Hoka One One as a brand I experimented for a few months and staled on the Bondi style. Th plush is what I need for cushioning for all of the hardware in my leg, ankle and foot! Really, really helpful! My orthotics fit in them! I also purchased Hoka hiking boots. I wanted a walking shoe. The customer service person recommended the Stinson ATR 5 for walking and light hiking. I absolutely LOVE this shoe! A nice grippy, sole with plush comfort as well. And my orthotics fit in them! Thank you!

These fit my wide foot without ordering a wide shoe! The Speedgoat did not fit me at all.

I was a big Hoka Bondi fan for years. Somewhere around the Bondi 5 or 6 - the toe box got narrower. My feet are by no means wide, but my toes need room to splay. Finally I found a pair of Hokas that work for me. I have the blue color and the gray color. They are not "cute" at all. I wear them because I have to. I wear them all day every day. I walk in them all day on all surfaces indoors and out. They took about a week to feel just right. Not like they're stiff or anything, but they just took time to break in. I usually wear a 9 or 9 1/2 depending on the brand. My Bondis were size 9. These are size 9. These feel a tiny bit roomier. Maybe because of the wider toe box.

I have worn Hokas for years and this pair is the 1st pair that has really not fit well. The size is fine, its that the top of the shoe rubs my ankles to the point where I have to take them off after a few minutes. They are visibly a bit higher at the ankle than my other Hokas. I really like the plushness of the shoe, but the ankle abrasion makes these a no go for me.

I have the Sinson ATR 4 which is a little wider than the ATR 5 but not by much. The Stinson models are my favorite Hoka now that the shoe is wider in toe/forefoot area. They are well cushioned for trail (i.e., firmer than the road running shoes which I appreciate on trail), 5mm toe drop is more moderate and they have a stability groove on outer sole. When I put my foot down on a trail it stays put so more stable on dirt and rocks.

These are great for my troubled feet because the sole is less flexible than other sneaker-type shoes + there's a ton of cushioning. (I have a bad arches and a tendency to stress fractures in the metatarsals.) Remove the footbeds, pop in the orthotics, and off I go. One word about fit: I am always an 8.5, so that is what I ordered. Out of the box the shoes fit just fine. After walking a bit, however, I noticed a good .75" of space opening up between my toes and the end of the shoe. I re-ordered the shoe in an 8 and gave the 8.5 to my friend. Out of the box my toe reached the end of the shoe in the 8s, but again after walking a bit I was far enough back in it that there's lots of room between toe and shoe. Do with this information what you will.

My first response on putting them on was “aaahhhh” these fit like a glove. I wear a Womens 11 (usually) med this couldn’t have fit better. I do light hiking daily, have erosive osteo arthritis and was finding my current shoes just not providing enough cushion and support. My rheumatologist suggested these. Yay!

These are my favorite Hoka's for running. I have a high arch & wide forefoot, but narrow heel. In the Bondi style, I have to get a wide width, but in this Stinson, a regular B width fits me fine. I also tried the Elevon, but it was a tad too narrow in the forefoot. Love, love, love Hoka's!!

I love these! I needed a half size smaller than I usually get in other shoes, and I have a feeling it’s because of the widths... but the smaller size feels great! I used to run in ASICS gel Kayanos, but have discovered that the Hokas are even easier on my knees.

The Stinson ATR 5 has been heaven sent for my wide forefoot, narrow heel, and need for lots of cushion. I have several pair and am so grateful for the comfort.

I highly recommend these as I have difficult feet, but took them on a 20 mile hike, 15 hours, 5000 ascent, 6500 descent and I had no issues!! The thick sole saved me as I traversed boulder fields and scrambled up a steep pass. and normally wear 7 and they are a little big, but I’m still sticking with them as for long hikes it’s good as the feet swell! You may want to size down if you have narrow feet for sure.

I am on my feet for most of my 12 hour shift at work on concrete. These really have made a huge difference in the comfort of my feet. They feel balanced, and my feet do not feel fatigued. The only thing I really didn't like is the sole of the shoe is VERY spread out so it made my feet look super wide. I like that I don't slip while walking on the concrete floor at work and the shoes are nice and light and you don't feel like you're wearing bricks at the end of your legs. Arch support is amazing! Probably the best I ever have worn in a shoe.

I wanted this shoe so very badly! Have a newfound love of hiking, and since I have had phenomenal success with Bondi's in the past, this appeared to fit my needs...plush and neutral. So very SAD...the back of the right shoe dug into the back of my ankle, causing pain with the first step. I wore this shoe all day inside my house, even re-laced them, without success. Something in this style, or this particular shoe, is defective. Am returning today.

I really want the all white leather tennis shoe. I kept a purple HOKA so one pair is enough until I can get the all white Leather.

I loved the color on these and they were very very plush to walk in BUT the right shoe rubbed on my ankle pretty bad as they come up pretty high. I tried different socks, different inserts but it still did it. I hope they can change this for future Stinson ATR models. I will try these again if they come out with a new model.

Thrilled to discover these shoes! I am a walker, not a runner, but I always buy running shoes because I love the extra padding, shock absorption, spring back and comfort. I had been wearing a really old pair of Brooks that when new had so much padding they felt like walking in foam slippers which I really liked. At my local shoe store I tried four different pairs of name band running shoes and I just wasn’t excited about any of them. With the high cost of these shoes I wanted them to be perfect. I started reading running shoe articles and reviews and that led me to these shoes. They have lots of spring and shock absorption. But they also gave me so much more stability and good arch support than the old shoes I had been wearing. I knew they would be much better for my feet. I usually where a wide, but these felt roomy enough for my foot. I love the loops at the heels provided to help pull them in quickly. Can’t wait to go on some long walks with these!

This is my second pair of Hoka’s and I work on my feet for 12hr shifts. They are very comfortable all day long and my feet don’t ache when I get home, also seem to take the pressure off of my knees with all the soft cushioning. A real must when standing on hard surfaces for hours. I do not have trouble with my arches so I can’t rate that, but I do have wide feet and bunions and the Stinson works great. I changed over a year ago from a rocker shoe to these and am very satisfied with this switch. I did not need to break them in. They are pricey, but hold up really well and are well worth it. I usually were size 8.5, but like the roomy feel of size 9.

Ouch. If you have a bunion, these shoes have a piece of plastic across the width that make them unbearable. Also a very ridgid shoe.

I am an avid hiker/backpacker. Started using these after I read a review about liking Hokas because they helped with their metatarsalgia, which I was battling with at the time. I also have issues with tendinitis in my Achilles' tendon. I use custom orthotics for these issues, and they worked well with my Hokas. I did notice that I wasn't experiencing foot pain after long hikes/ backpacking trips. I know these are sold as trail runners, but I do use them for backpacking. I carry an average of 30-35lbs in my pack. The one thing I will say is that they don't last more than about 300 miles when backpacking, which I pretty much do constantly. So replacing my last pair because I wore the lugs smooth on them.
