I thought this one of the most comfortable shoes that I've ever tried on, but they have a 2-3" sole and are "tippy." I had to send them back because I needed something that was less of a platform and where the bottom of my foot could feel the surface of the ground I was traveling on. But it sure was comfortable.
I'd also recommend:
This brand, but with less of a platform sole.

Okay, so I brought my 1st pair of Arahi 2 back in May and fell in love with this shoe because I have had a time with my Achilles and this shoe was recommended by a friend, but then I purchased a second back in June or July in another color but this time it's the version 3, Not the Same Shoe! Not as stable in the insole not as sturdy or stable. Please do what you did in version 2 in your next design of this shoe, I clearly can feel the difference between the two immediately, and by the way I'm still wearing Arahi2 and still Love them!

These were nicely cushioned, but the tongue was very harsh and stiff at my ankle and I was afraid it would end up being painful. Sent back!

I had purchased an older version of the Arahi and loved them. I needed to replace them so I purchased the Arahi 3. This shoe was NOTHING like the previous shoe. The shoe was too big and there is NO arch support like the other Arahi. I read the reviews and all were positive. This is why it’s so upsetting to me that the shoe was changed. I am on my feet for over 12 hrs a day and I overpronate. I really needed this shoe to work. Very disappointing!

This is my first pair of hokas and I am only walker. I walk 3.5 miles in my neighborhood daily, sometimes 6. I ordered an half size smaller but got terrible blisters on my heels and still have quite a bit of room in the toe box. Not sure if i should have gone a full size smaller

I always buy my exercise sneakers at least 1/2 size larger and this was true to that, allowing plenty of toe room. The comfort was normal, but I overall thought the shoe was not comfortable enough to keep. The appearance is also that the shoe makes your foot look very large.

I've been running for years, track in hs, half marathons etc and have had my fair share of injuries because I naturally over pronate. My last pair of running shoes before I got the Arahi's were the Asics Kayano's. Not a fan of the style or lack or colors - they are pretty unattractive in my opinion but I had NO injury issues with them which was a miracle for me. I started running in the Arahi's for about a month and went a half size down. They feel nice and light weight but I could tell my foot felt like it wasn't secure in the shoe. After a month my hips, aSI joint, and IT band issues started coming back. I had to go out and buy a new pair of running shoes - Brooks Adrenaline and no wonder I was having issues - in comparison my feet felt secured and stable in the Adrenaline while the Arahi's my feet felt like they were sliding all around! It wasn't that the shoe was too big just didn't offer stability AT ALL.
Hoka, PLEASE offer a wider variety of stability shoes that are sleek and unique looking like your other models- the Gaviota's are too geriatric looking for me. It's time us over pronators shouldn't have to sacrifice style for comfort- we should be able to have both!! Maybe one day...

I am a distance runner (30-40 miles per week). I also have a flat arch (severe over pronation). I usually wear Brooks Ariel running shoes. Since I haven’t been able to find the Brooks Ariel’s on sale anywhere, I thought this would be a good time to try another brand. I kept hearing about how good the Hoka shoes were; especially for flat arches. I tried them on and knew right away it didn’t have enough support or would be able to handle the mileage I put on my running shoes.
I'd also recommend:
Severe Overpronation-Brooks and Saucony; Over Pronation-ASICS Kayano

I have worn Hoka for a long time and have always loved the shoe. They last during training, and can withstand miles. Up until I purchased the new Arahi 3. I haven't put over 25 miles a week on the shoes for around 9 weeks and there is already visible wear on the foam of the shoe. I'm worried these won't even make it through the meat of my marathon training. So so sad.

This was a new brand for me and inhad high hopes, but somehow it just didn’t have enough structure and my foot moved around too much. I am a bit like the princess who coudn’t sleep with a ora under her mattress when it comes to shoes.....

I purchased the Arahi 3, thinking they would be just as comfortable as the Arahi 2 and I was extremely wrong. The cushioning was bare minimum compared to the previous shoe. Also, the tread wore out quickly! I only had the shoe for a month and the tread started thinning. No extra hardship on the shoes other than wearing them for work.

When I initially ordered these shoes, I was in love! They were great for distance road running (usually between 3-8mi). After about 3 months of wearing, I began to notice the heel of the shoe deteriorating. Within weeks, the fabric on the heel was gone and it was just a piece of plastic remaining - forcing me to no longer be able to wear the shoes. Maybe this was just a me issue, but incredibly frustrating regardless. This was the quickest pair of running shoes I've ever gone through.

I run on the road in these tennis shoes and also use for daily working out in the gym. I have only had them for 6 months and they look as if i got them off the side of the street with how torn up they are. Most of my tennis shoes will last me around 3 years but conflicted since this is most comfortable shoe I've ever had. But for the price and for the duration I've had the shoe I'm disappointed.

Was hoping to get back into walking. Much too stiff, too clos a fit in the heel and not enough cushion for a senior foot. I do have arthritis, so not blaming the shoe totally. Just had my fingers crossed.

The Hoka One One Arahi 2 best running shoe I have ever purchased Arahi 3 such a disappointment. Blisters on heels and cushioning totally unresponsive. Why change a perfectly good shoe? I sent this pair back

At first in the store, I liked them. By the time I got home, (30 minute drive? I couldn't put an ounce of weight on my heel. It really hurt something fierce. I'm used to a flatter heeled sneaker!

I have owned several pairs of Arahi and loved them but these are not one of them. I purchased these at the end of May from my local Fleet Feet and gave time to break them in but these are no where near as comfortable and supportive as my previous Hoka's. I have never had a pair of shoes hurt my feet more than these have. I wear these shoes to teach Zumba for the support and stability and to run/walk in several days a week. These shoes give me pain in my heals and in the ball of my foot. I have also found that the tongue of this shoe slides to the side where my other ones never moved. I normally replace my shoes every six months although I am going to have to consider replacing these now, which pains me due to the cost but my feet can't stand the pain.

I think these are the ugliest shoes I ever owned. I heard these were good for heel pain. My heels feel worse than ever even after adding $80 insoles
They look like mens shoes I needed black for work they are more grey and I am so unhappy with these
There is no support really at all I dont think.

I want to love these so much. The cushion is perfect on my feet for long distance running and walking. I have noticed though that these shoes do seem to naturally want to cause supination, to a level of over pronation, which can cause a feeling of instability. I have to focus on correcting my gait against the shoe so I do not roll out towards my ankles.
For the cost, it's an unfortunate disappointment.

I was so hopeful that this shoe would fit. I love the look, but the longer I wore it, the more the shoe hurt. At first I felt that they fit. The left shoe fit great, the right shoe created a sore on the sides of my heel and my great toe. It became apparent that this shoe was not fitting me well enough to keep it. I do not think this is a matter of working it out, this shoe was just not the one for me.

I am a regular half marathon runner. I have loved this model for a few years now but the current one seems to quickly lose its cushion in the front portion of the shoe. The bottom of the shoe is also slippery, I felt little to no traction on the slightest incline during my last race. It felt as if I had butter sliding on the bottom of my shoe.

I am up on my feet all day on concrete floors and have had arch problem in the past. The first few days they were good but now they seemed to have stretched and I am always having to straighten the tongue up and it seems like the tongue is to big for the shoe.
