I'm over 60 and needed the correct type of shoe to use in a boot camp-style class, as I've read that you shouldn't wear a running shoe. According to the description, these shoes were designed for side-to-side support which is a critical need for these interval training workouts. After wearing them around the house for a few hours, I realized that I didn't even think about them, which is always a good indication of fit and comfort. They have a roomy toe box which is key for me and I think key for the type of movement your foot is going to be doing. I also don't like to feel the arch support in a shoe and I don't in these, perfect. Very light, but feel very supportive. I usually wear a 10-medium in a tennis shoe and this is what I got in the Hoka. I've only worn them to one workout so far, but given that, I wasn't thinking about my feet throughout the workout, so I think they did the job! There's a lot of room to tighten the shoe for more side support if needed, but I find that just loosely tying them is what works best for me. I'd recommend these to someone considering a shoe for HIIT workouts!

Love this shoe. I have problematic feet (plantar faciatis, neuromas etc) and these are the first pair of shoes that feel just as comfortable as my Birkenstocks. Nice firm flat base and because they have the support on the sides to lace them, there is no pressure on the top of your foot when you lace them up. Orthotics easily fit with plenty of room for the toes.

Prettier in the picture. The pink is more coral in person. Flatter than I expected for Hokas. But good for weight training or some cardio. Not a good walking shoe I imagine. Have to wear orthoheel inserts for support. Needed new indoor workout shoe and this should work.

I have the Hoka Bondi for running and have been looking for a similar feel training shoe. I took the plunge with these, in pink, and I couldn't be happier. Great cushioning for HIIT and plyo work, stable enough for weight lifting. They ride a little higher on the ankle than most shoes, which I need. Awesome shoes!

I am a true 8 in pretty much every shoe, except this one. I had to return for a 7.5, but now they are perfect. Very comfy and provide great support! My feet used to KILL me during cross training classes, but now they feel great. Awesome buy.

This is my fourth pair. I literally wore out the first two pair. They are instantly comfortable and make a day on my feet much more bearable. I am over 70 and I wear them at the gym as well as for walking my 3 mile route and general wear. The only flaw is that in the beginning each pair has seem slightly more narrow in the toe than normal, but eventually stretch out enough to no longer be uncomfortable.

I should have listened to reviews and ordered a half size down in these shoes. They definitely run big.

Everything felt good except the elastic band around the ankle collar rubbed on my ankle bone. No padding there.

Love these trainers! I do aerobics and strength training in them and no breaking I was required. Lightweight but very stable and cushioned. I wear a 7 in most hokas but when I received them they were to large (ended up with a 6.5) Zappos made the return and exchange quick and painless.

I use them for the gym and walking. The laces come undone more often than other shoes I've owned. I expected a miracle experience considering the reviews and referrals I've had from runners. It's quite a bit of money for meh.

Best HIIT workout shoes I’ve worn! I ordered my regular street shoe size (7) and they fit perfectly. Would definitely recommend for a good quality, high intensity training shoe.

I tried out these shoes when I started doing bootcamp classes with strength and cardio drills. These are great shoes. I love the extra stability that they have. I bought another pair a month after my first because they are that great. I did at first go with running shoe size but I decided to go with a half a size smaller (my normal go to shoe size) and they are great! I like a more tight feel when doing these types of cardio exercises.

I wear a 9.5 wide in Bondi’s for running. Bought the 9.5 regular width in the Tivra for the gym. They were too long! Had to return. I don’t feel comfortable going down a size in a regular width shoe, so I’m going to try the Hupana in a wide width.

I needed a replacement for other brand gym shoes so decided to try these. I was worried that they would be too cushy (I wear Clifton for running/walking and have the Tor for hiking) but they are just right and offer extra support for lateral movements. I love the way the top of the shoe is soft around the ankle, which again, is good for gym movements. I did have to go a size down with these. I have consistently been an 8 in all Hoka's but had to size down half a size in these.

My first pair of Hoka’s and won’t be my last! I feel like I could’ve gone down half a size, my foot seems to be more forward in this shoe with some gap at the heel. They’re so comfortable that I never feel like taking them off right when I get home. Thanks, Zappos!

I have plantar fasciitis and I've been wearing Kuru support tennis shoes. They are comfortable and help my aching feet. And then I tried Hoka! Wow! So supportive! So comfortable! And they are stylish too! Great investment!
