The shoe is comfortable and feels very light. Has good all around support. The all black pair I purchased look good. the soles do seem to be wearing fast ( I have worn them for only 11 days).

These are comfortable and stable when walking. But even in a wide my custom orthotics really dont fit in well and they pinch my toes.

The shoe is very comfortable.....BUT...the shoe is too big. I weight 223 lbs so they hold my weight very well. The only problem is that the length is too long and the shoe is too wide. Not all overweight people have wide feet. I would order the shoe again, but get a size down.

To walk in nice stabiltity and cushion
Originally purchased mens 9 wideas this is what I have owned for 4 years. Ordered same but they were too short and tight? Femal over 50 so I do not believe that my feet have changed?the 9.5 are a little long but work.

My first purchase of HOKA shoes. Like the arch support and support for a troublesome big toe. Will be giving them a good testing in the next couple months before winter.

On my feet on concrete 12 hrs a day and very little fatigue at the end of my shift. Has the perfect balance of cushion and support, the width is spot on.

The shoes feel like you are walking on clouds. Way nicer than the Brooks GTS XX I switched from. I got fitted at a local running store and they swore I didn't need wides, but after a few weeks of rubbing on the side of my big toe and discomfort after 5 mile walk/jogs, I am going to test out the HOKA 30 Day return policy and switch to the wides.

Before my back told me otherwise, I used to run every morning. Now it's a 6 mile brisk (~4 mph) walk. I really need comfy shoes, and wear nothing but Hoka. The Gaviota 2 feel good, look (early assessment) like they'll wear OK, and are wide enough for my big feet.
What I don't understand is why they decided to use such GIANT shoelaces. These are over 14" long on each side and I have be careful to tie exactly right so they don't drag on the ground. Still, with all the bouncing around, they get all twisted up and have to be undone before untying. If they were boots, I'd tie them around my ankles, but no, not for these.

Having a pair of Clifton 5s, I kind of expected these to be on the narrow side. I have a medium arch and the Hokas tend to be on the narrow side for me. The Gaviota's are no different. I stuffed a Lacrosse ball in both of them and left them in for a couple of nights, ran in them and repeated. Now they are the perfect width!
These have the classic Hoka bounce, but are a bit more firm (as expected) Han the Clifton's. It's a nice change. I'm

I use it primarily for work, I'm on my feet all day. Great comfort, fantastic stability for my over-pronated feet. I dont like the look of it. Appears to big on my feet and somewhat heavy

I use these for my 5 mile/day walks throughout the community. Love them. Only thing is that I changed out the insert. Too high inside arches. I just used cheap flat insoles and all is now great.

I like the build of these. And the shape of this sole was a better fit for my stride than past Hoka's I have tried. I ultimately I decided to go with the Nike Winflow 7 as they were $60 cheaper and maybe provided more spring and cushion.

I ordered these recently as I was having issues with shin splints in my other running shoes despite thorough warm-ups and going easy on myself. I have wide, flat feet, which I believe is the source of my problem and after some research I decided to get these shoes in wide. I was a little bit disappointed at the color selection available in wide, especially considering the price and the fact that I am currently unemployed, but I decided to get the purple and they aren't bad; they do however look a bit like clown shoes as the sole extends pretty far out which I imagine is even more exaggerated in the "wide" option and I was tripping and scuffing my feet a lot before I got used to how big they are. On the plus side though, my shin splint issues have seen a marked improvement since I started wearing these shoes, so I definitely appreciate that. They also fit super well and are very comfortable even though they're not fully broken in yet. Still, I'm not sure yet if I would recommend them as I have only worn them a handful of times and some of the color is already beginning to scuff off of the bottom of the shoe--not a promising sight when it comes to longevity, but we'll see.

For a few years I ran in Nike Lunarglides, but that changed when I started having a lot of issues with my achilles. It was suggested that I try something with a lower drop than the Nikes (10mm) so I tried the Hoka Gaviota. It took a couple weeks to get used to the lower drop of the Gaviotas (5mm) but haven't had any issues with my achilles. Been wearing them for two years now and they have been great. The Gaviotas last longer than the Lunarglides (almost 400 to less than 300) and they're very comfortable. I am in my mid-50s, average 35-40 road miles a week about 9 minute/mile pace.

shoes felt narrow to me versus the other styles I have worn by Hoka. Good looking shoe and limited color that I really liked. Need to order up a half size perhaps if/when they ever become available.

Great looking shoes and I was trying to replace a current Hoka shoe. For some reason, these felt half size short and narrower than last pair. Too bad cause they are cool looking shoes.

My first pair had much more cushion. I loved them. This pair is a great fit, slightly more narrow, but no where near as cushioned as my first pair, that lasted a couple of years. I am not a runner, but do a lot of walking and have flat feet. I bought the solid black ones for work and they are working out well, but I wish they were as cushioned as the first pair. I am slightly disappointed that the cushioning changed.

Purchased my first pair of size 8.5 HOKAS upon the advise of your sizing chart but find they are too short when I replace the insoles with my orthotics.

I love all of my Hoka Shoes, I have at least 5 pairs for different purposes. Wish there was a better selection of wide shoe colors. All of the fun colors are not available in wide.

I have only had one day to use these shoes because I received them the day after my gym closed for the Corona Virus. The gym opened today & we stayed outdoors to do our exercises. I ran 1400 meters today & my feet or knees did not hurt. The shoes had enough cushion.

I ruck (hiking w/a weighted back pack on) and since getting this shoe, my only issue with this shoe is that over time, it has started to irate my baby toe on my right foot. It periodically leaves a blister. Thinking I should've gone with the wife. Have since reordered this shoe again (that should tell you something) in a wide to see if that changes.

Great shoes. Please reinforce/thicken tread. I only get 8 weeks out of a pair before pieces start peeling off. Thanks.

This is the second time I've purchased the Gaviota 2 shoes. I will probably purchase this style again. I run about 20-25 miles per week, and they usually last about 7-8 months. I did get a bit of rubbing on the back of my left heel, but that went away pretty quickly. I wish the toe box were a bit bigger, but it is manageable.
Good support, great cushioning.
