These shoes are just beautiful! I ordered two colors, and really loved the blue ones. However- and this is a big however - I had to return because they smell AWFUL. Kept them open to air out for a few days, but the smell never went away and it was definitely not the way I want people to think my feet smell ??. Like a really strong chemical. And I’m guessing someone else returned them for the same reason because the pink pair wasn’t wrapped up in its original wrapping, just loose in the box. I have other Sole Society shoes that don’t have this problem; seems unique to the velvet style. Too bad, I really loved them.

I absolutely love the look of these shoes but like another reviewer, my shoes have the worst smell I could possibly imagine. Maybe I got the pair she returned (lol) but they have to go. I tried airing them out but you can even smell them outside in the open air when you walk by them. I really really wish they didn't have the smell because I love them otherwise.

Well made and beautiful but they run big (of course I came to this conclusion after wearing them). Order down - at least a 1/2 size! Hoping to find some inserts that can help.

Slides a little and surprisingly left blisters on my pinky toes though I wear printed heels often.

Cute shoes, love the "velvety" look! Ordered the blue. They look as pictured in certain light, and lighter blue in other light (the way velvet can change shades depending on the angle you're looking at it). True to size. Not a huge fan of pointy-toed shoes when it comes to comfort, but these are a bit wider at the tips so my toes don't feel quite so squished. Haven't decided if I'll keep yet because they're somewhat uncomfortable at the toe area, but I absolutely love the way they look.

Adorable style, but ran large. I had to go down a full size (from my usual size of a 6 to a 5) to find the right fit. The sole is a bit rigid and doesn't like to bend. Although, I'm hopeful with time it will break-in. Otherwise, the loafer is comfortable and material high quality. I would purchase from this brand again...just being a bit wary on sizing.

very comfortable, very cute, there is a smell to them that burned my nose and in the end I didn't want to deal with that in my closet or out to lunch with friends

I wear either an 8.5 or an 8 and went with an 8 for these based on reviews. I found the shoes very comfortable and super cute! The only problem (and its a big problem) is the shoes smell TERRIBLE. I've tried keeping them outside to air out but its been several days, several sprays with odorizer and they are still very smelly. My husband may make me throw them out, fingers crossed the smell fades as I really like them besides the horrid smell!

These are really cute shoes, but they had a chemical smell to them that was overpowering and it did not go away during the 3 days I had them sitting in my house. They also run about a half-size too big.

I have to agree with one of the other reviewers here. These are beautiful, but they STINK. Back they go.

They smell absolutely horrible. I had to take them to the garage after I opened the box. There is something wrong with this shoe. Style also strangely wide.

These shoes smell awful—like some sort of petroleum product—they stunk up my whole house. I wore them mistakingly thinking the smell would go away. They’re cute, but not terribly comfortable, and did I mention they are offgassing in my house? Now I’m suck with them, and they weren’t cheap. Would never buy Sole Society again.
