I've been running in Asics GEL's for years. Always a 10.5 US. These definitely run ½ size small. Moved into an 11 (Thank you Zappos) and the fit was perfect. I decided to try the new GEL-DS Trainer 24 for it's advertised light weight and cool-mesh design. First impressions are mixed: Very comfortable out of the box. Great looking, too. However, when compared to the Kayano's, cushioning is noticeably absent and heal impact is considerably firmer. I haven't run in these yet but I anticipate that they are likely suited more for gym, exercise, and kicking around than they are for running. I'll take them for a run and update my post should they prove me wrong.

Love these shoes! I finally switched from always running in Asics Kayano's and can't believe how much I love these Trainers. Super light but much more stable than I expected. Great cushioning and support. I was worried going from such a controlling shoes to the more basic Trainer was going to be less supportive of my running style but I find these to be just great. The upper feels very soft and comfortable on my foot as well. I think they are pretty true to size (I am an 8.5 in these shoes and was in the Kayano's as well). I don't know about durability as I've only had them for a couple of weeks but they seem to be really well made and the sole looks pretty durable even though it is a soft rubber.

Light weight, super comfortable, good-looking. Just received them and have done some moderate walking and a few short runs. Plenty of support and cushioning. They look good, so I enjoy wearing them around, too. Slightly snug, but not a half-size off.

Firm responsive sole, light and fast, great traction. Easy lace up knit uppers, offer a supportive fit and feel.

Size is good and fit is great. Very comfortable and easy to adapt to. A bit more neutral than previous versions, but as advertised. A great shoe!

I have been wearing the DS trainer for 20 years. I find it to be the most responsive trainer shoe I've ever worn. The 24 fits and feels great!

I really like the low ride of these trainers. I'm a light weight neutral 49 year old runner. For the several years, I thought the DS Trainers evolved to be to built up with support and cushion. These seem to have returned to the lighter fast ride that's the had back in 2004. I'll be buying a few more pairs in case ASICS changes their design again.

I pronate somewhat and like to train with a very light shoe. As such, I've missed Asics' DS Racer series, but the DS Trainer 24 and 25 have been very nice substitutes.

Light, good grip, hugs your foot - I really enjoy using this as regular trainer. It works great on trails and gravel. I use 1/2 bigger to allow for some wiggle room for my toes.

This is the first time I've tried the GEL-DS Trainer. So far, I am very impressed! The shoe is much lighter than my usual GT-1000s, and I feel that they have increased my speed a little bit. They fit very well and look sleek. Highly recommended!

I felt comfortable in them as soon as I put them on and started running. Being in Florida I use the thinnest socks available to reduce the water weight when they get soaked. The DS24s have the right amount of cusioning for me using thin socks.

I wore these shoes years ago when I got into running. When I first bought these I lined up about 8 different shoes and tried them all on and ran on a treadmill for 5 minutes. The gel trainers were the only pair I used where I was shocked that I didn't want to get off the treadmill, they were that comfortable. I had a back injury and walked with a cane for almost 10 years but I've recovered to the point where I am running again. I had the same experience wearing them a decade later. These shoes were and still are the only shoes I've ever worn where I wanted to keep running. I highly recommend them.

Probably the most versatile shoe I've ever owned. Flat enough for speed work, enough stability and light enough for a 5-10k run/race, enough grip to handle a light/moderate trail run, and doesn't cost an arm and a leg. If I had to only pack one pair, it's this.

I love this shoe. Not only is it a lightweight trainer -- I LOVE the additional space in the toe box -- now it is a long distance trainer for me since my foot usually swells beyond 30 miles. Unlike certain competitor's shoes, these have a substantial tread too -- meaning these lightweight trainers with the large toe box have considerable life!

Wish they'd make these forever. I'm on my third pair. The shoe runs true to size, is very breathable, and performs well for distances up to a marathon.

First run I ran my fastest 5k by close to 2 minutes, and i wasnt trying. These shoes are light and fast. I'm saving them for speed days or race days.
