After reading all the reviews that said you needed to go a size smaller, I went ahead and went for the size 8. I am a size 9, and these fit almost perfectly. The only problem I have is that my left boot feels stiffer and less comfortable than my right boot. I've always wanted Dr. Martens, and it's so crazy I got these for free from my job. I would definitely invest in these if you work in a warehouse environment as I do.

I read the reviews before buying these docs and everyone said they ran big. I'm usually a size seven but I sized down to a 6. Wish I didn't bc my toes are cramped in with the Steele toe but I overall love these boots just cant wear them to work sadly

Wish these came in half sizes!!. Not sure what to do. Size 8 look like clown feet and I am swimming in them unless I wear 2 pair of socks or 1 REALLY thick pair. Even if I get the fit right, they feel too clunky. The size 7 is perfect width on the left foot, and maybe just a bit short, but definitely would work. But the right foot pinches my pinky toe and I am not so sure they will stretch out enough. Too bad. They are so comfortable otherwise, and well made great looking boots, but I feel I fall in between the whole sizes.

I bought originally a pair from Dr. Martens website and they were a size larger, so aware of the sizing I got a size down. The shoes fit OK, I wish there were half sizes; 7.5 would be ideal instead of the size 7. The shoes are really heavy, as all Dr. Martens are. The zipper was not shown on the inner side of the shoes on the pictures but it was mentioned in the description, which I found very weird.

I ordered a size smaller than usual based on other user reviews and this is definitely the way to go. I typically wear a 7.5 to 8 and ordered a 7 in these. They fit perfectly. I had to buy steel toed shoes for work and didn't want to wear any of the typical unflattering styles offered. Luckily Dr Martens offers their classic style in a safety boot option. They are not heavy and the side zipper makes them really easy to put on and take off. There is a super duty foot bed with comfy support cushion and the tongue is also padded. They are generally very comfortable and I will certainly wear these outside of work as well since they look like regular old Docs.

Yes, they do run large even with converting from UK sizing to US sizes or measurement in cm! Bought a size 6 UK because the size chart indicated that for 8 US / 24.1cm... but my feet were slipping out of them even with thick socks! They looked ridiculously long next to my old pair of steel toe sneakers. Swapped for a size 5 UK and they’re pretty much perfect. They look and feel great and the insole cradles your foot in a noticeable but not uncomfortable way.

fit well to start, packs out in about 4 months; making them slightly longer than i would like. easily solved ballet/lambs wool in toes. i don't need to use heel pads, but i can see myself getting there eventually. problems would be solved with a wider width shoe, but i like the comfort of the sole and zip up. leather has stood up nicely and i am confident in every step i take on the work site.

MOST COMFORTABLE steel toe boot I have ever put my foot inside. These boots run a size and a half too large. I usually wear an US8.5, ordered a UK6 = US8 and it was a half size too big. I am exchanging for a UK5, fingers crossed.

I bought for my daughter. I order size6 first . It was one size too big. I usually wear size6 1/2 or 7. It is fit for me. I return size 6 then reorder Size5. Now she is happy to fit size 5.

Size is small. And they have no more stocks. So sad.

The only thing that's why I don't feel comfortable bec the size is small. It is 1/2 size smaller.

The shoes look and feel great, however, they squeak with every step I take from the tongue of the shoe rubbing when I walk. I've looked up remedies and nothing has really worked. Unfortunate for such a nice looking and feeling shoe to sound so obnoxious when walking on any surface.

Ordered a womens size 9 they feel more like a men's.

INCREDIBLY cute boots, but I no longer have the patience to try and break in shoes. Got blisters even after buying special boot socks, and don't want to have to always put bandaids on in order to wear them. Very, VERY attractive boots, though, if you have the willpower to break them in.

The boots look great but are pretty uncomfortable, especially at the top of the boots. The top of the boots are stiff and not ideal for walking. If you have a desk job then these boots are perfect for you!

These boots were much smaller than I anticipated. I wish they'd had them in half sizes. The seam in the inside hit directly on my bunions making them impossible for me to wear. I'm going to try something much different next time. Thank you zappos for all your help!

Gorgeous, but uncomfortable for me as they were too heavy.

I have Dr Martens 1460 in 7 which are superb. These in 7 were not nearly as good looking but for work that wasn't the issue but the too narrow steel toe. Wide option boot were not available so I had to ship them back and try some wides in steel or composite toe.

heavy, heavy, and did i say heavy? Once broken in they arent that bad but I wasnt crazy about them. They caused contusion on my legs

This shoe is so cute! However, it rubbed huge blisters on my foot after one hour of wearing it. It’s much too heavy. Also if you have semi-wide feet, it’s a bit narrow at the top.

Looked good, but rigid and uncomfortable for working on the decks of ships. Did not breathe, were painful. They looked nice and appeared durable, so I suffered with them longer than I should have.
