I own another pair of Patricia Nash Sicily boots from several years ago, the tan version with darker shading across the front. Those boots were made in Italy, and the difference between them and the product that I received is EASILY noticeable. The description doesn't say it, but these boots are made in China. Instead of a luxurious, thick leather upper, rubber-wrapped leather sole, and a lining that is readily recognizable as leather of nearly identical quality, the black and merlot boots that I received have a synthetic sole and appear to have a synthetic lining. Let's put it this way: if that lining is leather it is from an animal I don't recognize and it has an odd smell that is not that of leather. The edge characteristics of the "leather" lining are markedly different than the edge characteristics of the leather upper. The merlot pair has two areas of smeared dye on the left toe. Both pair have heel wraps that look like they've already had a few run-ins with the rung of a chair. It's a crying shame, because they are just as comfortable as my older pair, and the silhouette of this boot and the pitch of the heel are absolutely perfect. As compared to the Frye Samantha 6G, which I also ordered, this is a much sleeker, more ladylike looking boot. There are no manly looking lace grommets. I REALLY wanted to keep these but I just can't abide the junky lining and synthetic sole. I've ordered the Frye Savannah Combat as a replacement. I ordered what was supposed to be a 38.5, and the new boots fit exactly the same as my old size 39s - long and wide, but wearable with a thick sock. My ordinary size is 8.5.

Love these boots in brown but in black the zipper seemed to stand out more. They are super comfortable but I will continue to look for a black boot. Love them in brown though.

LOVE these boots! And they are very comfortable and stylish. One note, the ankle is fairly snug (and I have pretty slim ankles)and a little stiff until they break in.

REALLY pretty boot! I was diving to get these in my house. They not only did not disappoint I can not wait to fit them in ........ all over the place. Gorgeous, very moderate heel that can be worn ANYWHERE without being "too much" and still sexy & faminine. I bought the red color and it is a really mellow dark red wine - beautiful. They look very narrow and lady like yet with a block heel and boot appearance - these were surprisingly more roomy once on than I expected. I do not have trouble with that though and I would say have relatively normal foot width and arch. Classy with a touch of toughness. Super COOL!

This is a beautiful boot to look at. I love the style, the round and heel height. For me the problem is the leather is very stiff and the top of the boot cut into the front of my leg. If the leather was softer it would have been perfect. Unfortunately I returned it because it was too uncomfortable.

LOVE these. Super comfortable from the get-go. And they don't feel clunky or make my feet look big (I'm 5'5" and wear a 10!). Beautiful, quality boot!

Loved these boots and wore all day at work no problem. This color looks great with everything. The block heel is wonderfully solid and easy to walk in. Very happy with this purchase and might buy in black too!

Beautiful boots! I really wanted the black pair but I bought the tan to have anyway because the boot looked like just what I wanted. I put them on right out of the box and they are beautiful, sturdy, and feel great. They have a slim ankle width which for me is wonderful because my skinny calves. Really happy with my purchase and may think about getting them in black too.!

This boot is awesome; great style and the leather looks rich. I haven't wore them yet because they just arrived but I will very soon paired with skinny jeans and a nice blouse.

Super cute boot. I went down a whole size and they still seem just a bit long in the toe. Also, for me, they came up higher on my calf and rubbed. Almost perfect combat boot style...my search will continue!

Love the look of this boot! The left boot was very comfortable as far as totally supporting my foot. The right boot felt a bit off. I bought my normal size 8, but I am going to try and see if a 7.5 will fit the same but a bit shorter. My issue is that the boots are about an inch longer than the end of my toes. So I am not sure how comfortable that will be to walk around in all day. I am hoping they work because these are the perfect lace up boots with a heel and a zip that are comfortable. They have enough edge but still look classy.

Love the style. They fit well and are comfortable to walk around in and have on your feet for a while. Very good quality.

These are beautiful boots. The color (merlot) is deep and rich. The fit is exactly as expected. They are slightly roomy, but perfect with socks. I wore them the first time for an entire day and had no issues because they are so comfortable!

I LOVE these boots. I wear a size 8 and they fit perfectly. They are well made and look like the photos. I like that they're combat / army type boots but not as clunky as DMs or some of the others. I like wearing boots like this with skinny pants, short and long skirts. Very comfy as well. I'm so glad I got these.

I studied all the reviews before I went ahead and ordered these and can second a lot of the comments. Firstly, they run big, I'm normally a 8.5 and based on the reviews ordered an 8. Even the 8 seems a little long, but if I went smaller they would feel too narrow (I have a wider foot though). Secondly, the leather is stiff, I think they will break in but I'm still on the fence so haven't worn them except to try on. Thirdly, despite the heel they feel comfortable and I think I could walk good distances in them with no problems. Finally they are cute! I love that they come up a little higher on the ankle.

I have been needing a size 8 in many shoes lately and since others in their reviews said they needed a size up I went with an 8. They were too big length-wise. Boot looked huge on me. Could have been because too big but I thought if I got a size smaller they still would have looke large. Ordered Marc Fisher “Wyoming” instead. A bit mor too them. Maybe a step less dressy but hope they will still work with dresses etc. haven’t received them yet.

I wanted these boot so bad. So the first time I ordered them, I was sent the incorrect boots. However, once again Zappos made the issue right and sent me another pair. These boots ran about a half size larger than expected and they were not all that cute in person. Since I have short legs that is the reason why I really didn't like the way that they looked on my foot. Unfortunately, I had to return them.

would not recommend. I absolutely loved these boots they are so beautiful, pretty comfortable and seem to be overall good except for the zippers, every time I tried to wear them the zippers would not stay closed no matter what I did. very sadly I had to return them.

Very stiff feeling! Not comfortable! I returned.

These shoes were cute online, but then I received them in the mail and they were horrible. The color was beautiful but the style of the boot looked like a man's version.
