Only down side is the super soft top it allows your foot to slide but it’s super cool and lightweight.

I've worn Brooks Adrenaline shoes for more than a decade, but decided to try a different Brooks shoe and chose the Brooks Glycerin 17. Compared to the last few versions of the Adrenaline that I've worn, the Glycerin is much more cushioned and soft underfoot, while still being very supportive. I am used to the stiffer feel of the Adrenaline and I'm still trying to adjust to the much softer and springy sole of the Glycerin, but I've found that it feels nice under a heel that has been suffering from Plantar Fasciitis for the past month or so. My doctor highly recommended that I use Superfeet inserts for support and I've ordered those, but haven't yet tried them with the Glycerin. The insoles that come with the Glycerin are supportive, but I've been wearing Superfeet inserts in my Brooks Adrenaline for years and find them to be very helpful. I have always worn a women's size 10 B or medium width in Brooks running shoes, but I wear a size 9 B, or medium width in other shoes (size 40 euro in Naot, Josef Seibel & Wolky). I have to be careful with sizing because one foot is about a half size larger than the other. My longest foot, measured from back of heel to tip of big toe, is exactly 10 inches. I've found that Brooks shoes will accommodate my different sized feet if I choose a size 10. My longer 10-inch foot could use a little more shoe length, but a longer shoe would be much too large for my shorter foot. However, in the Glycerin, there is still an index finger's width of room between the end of my big toe of my longest foot and the front of the shoe. (There is a thumb's width of space between the big toe of my shorter foot and the front of the shoe.) I really like the densely woven fabric of this shoe because it allows my toes to move and is not constricting. I found that the fabric did not reduce the support of the front of the shoe and my foot does not slip inside of the shoe. There is ample room in the toe area with nothing pressing against my foot to cause blisters or discomfort, and since my big toes point slightly upward toward the top of the shoe, this is miraculous! I'm not a runner. I wear Brooks running shoes for walking and everyday wear. I've worn my new Glycerin 17 shoes for long walks (2-5 miles) and felt absolutely no discomfort. The shoe did not need any time for breaking in. The shoe will accommodate thin low-cut running shoe socks, or lightweight padded-sole wool socks on colder days. I chose the color "Black/Fiery Coral/Purple" because I wanted a black shoe and at first I thought the extra colors (orange and purple) would be too bright for me, but that's because I've been wearing only black Brooks shoes, and have gotten used to seeing my feet in neutral black shoes with black soles. I wish this coral/purple shoe had a black or dark grey sole instead of bright white to make the shoe a bit more subtle and look smaller on my feet. I like the fabric on the front of the shoe with little gaps that show bright purple underneath. The shoe laces are flat woven, black with purple stripes, and seem to be extra long. I have to be careful when tying them to be sure that they don't drag on the ground, so I tie them in a bow and then tie the bow loops together for greater security and to shorten the length of the bow loops. The tongue of the shoe is gusseted and sewn close to the top of the shoe, so the opening to the shoe to insert the foot is smaller than it is on my other Brooks shoes, and there is less room to get my foot into the shoe -- the fit is just a little snug when putting on the shoe, but it hasn't been a problem, even with a wool sock. And, actually, since I've had trouble with shoe tongues slipping off to the side in other Brooks shoes, I really appreciate the way the tongue is sewn on this shoe. Overall, I like these shoes a lot!

Brooks are the most comfortable shoe I've found. I spend the day standing at work and need to add my orthotics but for running around on the weekends, it's great! The colors can be obnoxious but these are fine. Zappos always comes through with fast shipping and easy returns so I know I'll be ordering from them again,

Amazingly comfortable and cushioned. Got 1/2 size larger and perfect fit. Also got wide width because I have bunions and also great fit. No seams that run across bunion area which can really hurt! Nice work Brooks!! Am buying a second pair as back-up! Cute as well!

After a year of trying Saucony"s , Brooks glycerin 19 and other Brooks styles I could not find the right sneakers for my feet, leg and spinal issues. I am a over pronator as well. I am not a runner but a slow walker because of my physical issues. I had previously had a pair of these sneakers and when I needed another pair they were no longer available to my discontent. Finally they are back in stock. I just ordered another pair. Please don't stop making these sneakers! They are ??% the best sneakers I have ever found for me. They have excellent inside padding and comfort. They are well constructed and durable. If you have foot issues give these a try. I swear by them. Love them!

Great cushioning and comfort.

This shoe is very comfortable. I tried on all the different level of Brooks shoes at the store and this was the one that felt amazing. The amount of cushion is perfect and it fit great.

Feels like springy memory foam. I wish there were color choices. They’re great for my plantar fasciitis.

My favorite pair of Brooks so far! Very comfortable and they held up well during our Disney vacation. Wishing I would have bought a size up but still comfortable.

These are great, as always. I've been wearing Glycerin for years and was a little skeptical about the 17 based on some of the reviews of what's changed (narrower toe space, uncomfortable heel grip). Luckily this is not the case for me at all, they fit perfectly. The toe box is a little more narrow than previous versions but I like it better. These will continue to be my go-to running shoe, I just wish there was a wider variety of color options.

I love these! They are very comfortable, I can run around in them all day.

I normally wear a size 6, but in the Brooks I have to get a half size smaller, these Glycerin 17’s were no exception. As soon as I put these on they have felt perfect, I could use. Little more arch support but the padding in the these are absolutely perfect! They do feel like a cloud! Wore them for a 2hr HIIT workout and had no problem. I agree with another review they looked white on screen but in person they are definitely light gray, but the comfort level is so amazing I could careless about anything else!

These shoes are great. They are comfortable and cute. I have been using them for my walks and also for working out in the gym. I need lots of arch support, and they deliver. I always try to get the most comfortable, yet stylish shoes. This one is just that.

like walking on clouds. They have great cushioning but do not have super rigid soles so that the shoes will adjust if you step off slightly rather than force your shoe to land perfectly heel down. (I hope you get what I mean, trail runners may like this) The grip on the sole is great as well. The foot of the shoe is rather low and when you first put your foot in, it almost seems like you are not fully in the shoe, but that is not the case at all and once laced in, you are good to go! I wish there were styles with only one color or just black with one highlight color. Every style has at least 3 colors, what about those of use that lean monochromatic? Ah well. Even at the $150 price tag, Ill be keeping these.

Love everything about this new model. Fits perfect, roomy in the toes and love the light purple color. Get them you won't be sorry.

I LOVE this running shoe! I have problematic feet since I broke my 5th metatarsal and had surgery a few years ago. I also have fairly flat feet and tend to pronate in a bit, but the arch support in this shoe is comfortable and helps keep my foot in alignment. I also love the color combo and breathable fabric. Very comfy shoe. My prior running shoe was the New Balance 860 V9 which I also liked a lot. But the Brooks Glycerin 17 is my new fave! Highly recommended.

I think I'm in love. I bought this pair of Glycerin 17 Wides as a replacement for a regular / medium width pair of Brooks that was just too narrow for my foot. From that pair I could tell that I loved Brooks insoles and my husband is a devotee -- they have been the best shoes for him bar none. I am very impressed so far. First they arrived before 11AM the day following my purchase, talk about immediate gratification! The width feels great. The shoe is still fitted enough for me to have confidence in my stability, but not too tight anywhere. I am almost always a size 9 and the length in this size 9 is perfect. The heel is just snugly cushioned enough to hold on well. The toe box feels roomy without any sloppiness. As I've aged (I turned 50 this year) I've come to understand the importance of a supportive shoe that is soft but not TOO soft. Brooks has it down. I put them on in the house and gave them an hour before I took them for a spin around the neighborhood. They were perfect out of the box. Great show -- I can't wait to get them in the gym.

Love these Brooks. Great cushioning. True to size, as with all my Brooks shoes, no matter the style, always wear a 8.5. Excellent shoe with great color choices.

I love these shoes! The color is amazing. I always order up one full size for my work-out shoes so there is room for cushy socks and my insoles. I normally wear an 8-1/2 and so I ordered a 9-1/2 in these shoes and my toes have room. They are lightweight and fit good in the heel--that is why I always order Brooks. These are my first Glycerins and I reccomend them.

These shoes are so very comfortable! (I wish I could wear them to work with my dress clothes.) They offer great support and can be worn for long periods of time. Great buy!

I wear 7 1/2 and don't usually get to order wide width (and usually fine). But I tried these in wide and LOVE them! Super comfortable, great cushioning and look fine too!

These were a great replacement for my Saucony guide 10 that had an aftermarket insole sold to me by the store at which I purchased my sneakers. These were perfect without any additional purchases with regard to comfort, support, and cushioning. So glad I found my new sneaker (after trying on no less than 100 pairs through a variety of retailers)
