I looked for many weeks at several dozens of boots on multiple sites and these were the winner. This was quite a quest because I had a lot of criteria points for the desired boots: —I will be traveling in winter to places that are cold, wet, and snowy, so I want truly weather-proof boots that won't be ruined when wet and won't let my feet get wet —I need to be able to dress them up or down--so that I can wear them with dresses or jeans and not need to pack an extra pair of fancy shoes for when I take off my coat —I need them to be comfy enough to walk in for a long stretches while touring, with no long break-in period--so no high heels or stiff soles. —They need to have good traction for slick pavements or cobblestones--so ideally a rubber sole. —They need to to look cute, feminine, classy and well-made and be made from good materials--ideally leather (but waterproof)--nothing too cheap or short-lasting and nothing too masculine nor motorcyclish, nor bulky like galoshes. —They need to stay up without sagging, but not be so stiff that they dig into my legs or knees —They need to to be warm enough and/or have enough space to layer with warm socks. —I have rather thin ankles and calves, and almost all boots are far too wide in the ankle and shaft and look terrible on me--especially with skirts. So these dreamboots have to be narrow on ankle and in the shaft and fit my feet and legs in a feminine manner, especially so they look okay with skirts/dresses. —Ideally they will be easy to get on and off, for when I go into shoeless houses (so nothing with complicated lacing or stiff zippers). —all of the above, but also within my $200 budget (!) So these were the criteria and it seemed like an absolutely impossible quest. But then I found these boots and check, check check...these boots are winners! They hit everything on my list. If I really wanted to split hairs, the only ways to make them even better: On its own the boot isn't all that warm nor lined, so warm socks/tights are warranted. The heel is almost flat--and I wanted a low heel, but would not have minded maybe another half inch or so. In a perfect world, they would be slightly more fitted for my ankles and calves--but I know mine are unusually slender, and these fit better than any others I tried. In terms of fit, I can take them on and off without even unzipping them, but the zippers help to tuck in pants down around the ankle. I would have liked to find them on sale, and would like to get the brown ones too if they ever do go on sale. Overall, these are a dream find and I am very happy about them. I bought these in black, size 9 (which is my regular size) and they feel true to size. Other reviewers warned that they fit small, and some suggested to size up, but I did not, and these are plenty roomy for me--I have worn them with jeans and socks tucked in, no problem--they are still a little looser than strictly necessary. That's my experience.

AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!! They are SO cute and stylish and so comfy! And waterproof!!!! They run small, I'm normally a 9 and ordered a 9.5 which was perfect. A 9 definitely would have been too small. I bought the tan-ish color and they are so cute with leggings. The calf is pretty tight, I don't think I could wear them with jeans, and if you have a larger calf this is definitely not the perfect boot for you. I ran around in the rain last week and they felt great and I stayed dry. Love them!

After reading reviews about the fit I bought a half size larger than I usually wear. I wish I'd also bought the wide width (although I usually order medium width shoes). I love these boots though, and I think I'll make do with the slightly snug width. The calf is snug, just as the reviews point out. But I was especially looking for boots that don't gap at the calf so I'm happy. They look great with leggings, narrow jeans, and tights. This is my second pair of waterproof Blondo boots. (I bought booties last year) I'm so impressed by them!

These boots are fantastic. I do recommend going a half size larger. Normally wear an 8 and the 8 1/2 was perfect. The circumference is snug fit like I wanted it to be, my calf is 14 1/2. If your calf is larger than that these are not the right boot for you. I have narrow feet and the medium width is very comfortable. Loving them!!!

This is such a a comfortable and cute boot! I have pretty flat feet and struggle to find boots that feel comfortable and aren’t too narrow. These boots break in excellently after a couple of wears and I love that they are waterproof!

Finally a boot that fits people with slender calves and a petite frame!!! I am 5'3" and thin so every boot I try on I am swimming in or they are too tall or too bulky, but these fit me like a glove. They would definitely not work for anyone with even a slightly athletic calf and they don't have any stretch panel like so many boots have now. I love that they are waterproof too! I wish they were a little bit more comfortable like Earth brand or Bzees boots are, but they are not uncomfortable by any means. The only thing that sucks is the toe box is a touch too narrow for me. I am hoping they will stretch because if I go with a wide width, I am pretty sure they will be too big in the heel and other places. I ordered the brown/taupe color (which is beautiful) in my usual size 7.5 but then I saw the black version is available in an 8 so I ordered and am hoping going up a half size will fix the toe issue. I wish Blondo's weren't so pricey but they really do make nice boots.

Very comfortable! I have slim calves so it’s very hard to find knee boots that fit. It seems like the choices were gigantic calf on the boot, or skin tight calf on the boot. This boot fits perfectly it is neither skintight nor gigantic in the calf area. I can wear it with leggings or jeans or with a skirt & it is the perfect fit, just slightly larger than my calf. Also, this part was unexpected, the waterproof seal also makes it windproof so these boots are actually very warm if you’re out in freezing weather. That was A pleasant surprise. Apologies for any typos, I am voice dictating.

This is a great boot for the ladies with skinny calves. The quality is good and I really like the style as well. With regard to sizing, I’m usually between and 8.5 and 9, more often an 8.5. I went with the 9, and with mid weight socks they fit fine, but if any smaller, they’d be too tight. So if you’re in between sizes, order up, and if you want to wear heavier socks you may want to order up another half size.

Very comfortable, wore them all around on first day they arrived. I have thin calves and many boots at this height look too loose on me. Very happy that they are waterproof but haven’t tested that much yet.

Due to length and width, had to size up a full size, and then use a thin insole with arch support to create a comfortable fit. And, after all that, they are now perfect. There's a little slip in the heel, but because it's a tall boot, it's fine. Really good looking boot. Very happy. And very happy with Zappos!

NARROW SHAFT- this boot is so cozy and seems like it would be comfortable, but you need to have super thin calves to even get it on. I couldn't even pull it up past my ankle.

I actually had bought a pair of Ericka dark suede boots last year they were what I had been looking for for a few years can wear with anything so comfortable however somehow I got a tear on the toe of the left foot took it to be repaired and they were able to but it just didn’t look right so I have been looking for another pair for almost a year when I seen it on Zappos just couldn’t believe it ordered right away they arrived today and put them on and did the happy dance so happy ? the best boots ever Thank you Zappos .

I love, love, love these boots! They are so durable and being waterproof is a perk too! I full on stepped in a huge puddle and nothing! Also, my kids and dogs step on my feet constantly with their dirty shoes/feet and it just brushes right off! They look good as new with just a little swipe of your hands! Based on the reviews, I ordered 8.5 because I otherwise always wear an 8. They are narrow (i.e. tight) but maybe a smidge long in the toe, but I can wear regular or thick socks with them so I think sizing up was the right move. Also, these are definitely for those of us with stick legs. I am usually swimming in boots and these fit my calves perfectly- room enough for thin jeans but form-fitting. I love these boots so much that I only wish I could afford a pair in the taupe color as well!

I love these boots. I saw that they ran small, so I ordered up a half size. They fit perfectly. I have thin calves and I was able to take them in some. They look and feel amazing with leggings or jeans. The heel is the perfect size for those of us on the taller side. Plus they are suede and waterproof.

If you read comments about it being too tight around the calf...it is true - they only fit with tights or yoga pants. I won’t be able to fit them properly over my jeans. That is fine for me, but you may want to consider that if you want more versatility. I am normally 7 1/2 ordered 8 for some room with thicker socks and it’s perfect. Overall I gave four stars because I would have preferred it hit higher closer to the knee but it still works. I’m 5’5.

These boots are cute. They are supposed to be waterproof, I hope so. I like that the hell is low and the shaft is narrow. They are pretty comfortable. However, a lot of people here have said that they run large. I did NOT find this to be true. If anything, they run small. So I suggest just ordering your regular size, not a larger size.

Great looking and comfortable boot! I took the advice of other reviewers and went up 1/2 size (9 to 9-1/2) and that was perfect. My instep is really high so finding boots (and shoes) that fit is a challenge. These were just a bit snug across the instep but not uncomfortable. Wore them for about 6 hours straight and they were fine.

These boots were gorgeous, and I was so excited that they were waterproof! I followed other reviewers' advice and ordered a half-size up: if I hadn't, they definitely would have been too small. As it stood, they fit well, but I did feel like I would have liked a bit more room in the toe box, and I don't have a wide foot. It would have likely stretched out enough to be fine. What finally killed them for me, though, was the fact that the zipper entry did not go all the way up the shaft of the boot (maybe I should have read the description more closely), and therefore the top of the boot was pretty much EXACTLY fitted to my calf. If you have skinny legs, you'll probably be fine, but I have athletic legs, so... although they fit, there was NO wiggle room at all, and they pinched a bit when I sat and crossed my legs. If they'd had just the tiniest give (like from a zipper that when the whole way up), I probably would have kept them. But at this price point I have to be able to wear them all the time, all day, so back they went.

The boots are beautiful and well made, but they run small and narrow, had to go up a half size. I have a narrow foot and I’m not sure how anyone could wear a medium width on these. They are snug in the calf, which is fine for me, I have thin calves, maybe not for everyone. Recommend go up half a size and order wide width (if they’re available, my 71/2 W are not).

I am 5'2" and have always had less to choose from when selecting knee high boots. They usually are too tall for me. I have spent hours looking at the boots available on Zappo's and reading reviews. After choosing only 2 pairs of boots I hit the jackpot with the Blondo "Erika". Perfect height for me, fit around my 14.5" calf and is comfortable enough. Looks very good on with my skirts. It's stylish and I rather like it. Up till now I've tended to wear only a sleek looking boot. Thank you Zappo's for providing your customers with great service.

Shoes were cute, the foot was a little narrow and the calf was tight. Also, the shaft has a bit of a lining so it's a little thicker than I expected. My feet get hot so I didnt think they would work for me, I returned them.

Love the style but it does not have any arch or heel support and aggravated my plantar fasciitis. I have a wider toe box, 9M felt way too narrow in the toe box. Returned.

I should have listened to the reviews - huge regrets about buying these and no way to return now. I'm typically an 8-8.5, but closer to 8 (and I have another pair of Blondo boots in 8). I ordered both 8 and 8.5, and the 8's were too small unless I wore the thinnest of socks, so I went with 8.5. Where do I begin with the problems with these... first, no arch support. At all. And basically no padding in the soles. I bought $20 Dr Scholls inserts and these STILL make my feet ache terribly after 30 mins or so of walking. I can't believe it - boots like these are supposed to be comfortable!! I do lots of city walking, and can't wear them for this purpose unless I want to limp home. Next issue - narrow toe box. I have a foot that's on the narrower side, so for ME to complain about a narrow shoe/boot is really rare. Third issue: sizing - maybe it's because of lack of lining, but on my slightly smaller foot, my heel comes up at every step and chafes on the back inside. Had to try and fix with moleskin (only partially worked). Although I have slightly different sized feet, this typically isn't an issue with this sort of boot. Long story short, I'm stuck with a pair of boots that I can only wear walking quite short distances, and even that is uncomfortable. At this price, there are way better boots out there. Super disappointing as I loved the style and the waterproofed concept.
