It’s really difficult to find my son (age 8, size 4W) shoes. He has severe autism and can’t tie shoes so I like to buy hook and loop. Selection is really limited in a 4 wide for a hook and loop Velcro because most kids can tie shoes buy age 8. FINALLY!!! I’ve tried New Balance and they wear out so quickly. Nike hold up well but the fit is not good. Thank you Saucony for this shoe. He must like them because he doesn’t take them off as soon as he gets home from school (like he always did with his Nike and NB shoes). I’ve bought both the navy and black & blue combo in these shoes. And Zappos, you’re always amazing at customer service.

These are for my 4 year old. He has wide feet, so I ordered an 11W. They are true to size, but I've ordered New Balance in wide width, and they were wider than these, so if your little one has wide feet like mine you might feel they are a little on the narrow side for a "wide" shoe. They are light and flexible for lots of running, and they look great with sweats, and jeans. I am happy with this shoe.

These may be marked XW but they don't fit like it. I'll have to go back to New Balance, which is disappointing, because these shoes are super cute! They just don't fit like the Saucony shoes we've ordered in the past.

When compared to Stride Rite (M width) shoe Saucony (W) seemed to be 1/2 size smaller/shorter. Saucy was a stiffer shoe with more support. The extra width made it the perfect size shoe for my grandson who has a foot that is somewhere between wide and medium. Great shoe - great support.

These are the worst shoes I have ever bought for my kids. I have 2 boys, 6 and 8. They are very rough on their shoes so we go through a lot of them, but these fell completely apart in just a few weeks. Will not buy this brand again.

The fit was perfect. My son was outgrowing his size 4 New Balances which were really beat up, I ordered a 4.5 and they fit perfectly with growth room. He just finished 1st grade and I was planning to teach him how to tie laces but I LOVED the red & blue combo on these shoes so I ordered them. Now I will live it up for a few months more of easy out-the-door shoes, since he’s the slowest one to get ready anyway. Thanks Saucony for the great red & blue color combo that’s different than every other gray/black/fluorescent color combo normally found in boys shoes.

I was really happy with these for my 6 year old boy. He usually wears new balance size 13 but new balance runs big. I ordered these In a 1.5 and it was perfect with just a tiny bit of room to grow. Love them and he does as well.

I always get Saucony sneakers for my son's XW feet. He has no trouble taking them on and off all by himself, and these new Navy/Red pair look great! Velcro starts to wear off by the end if the 4th month for us on most of our Saucony sneakers, but luckily that's around the time he has to size up anyway.

My son loves these and I was excited to find not just W but XW. My son uses orthotic inserts and we've had to go without for awhile now because I couldn't find a shoe they would fit it. They fit in these comfortably for him.

Although my son loves the lightness and the comfort of the shoes, unfortunately, I have to report that the heel part of the sole started to peel off after he only wore them for two to three days.

Even though we order the XXW- it always seems too narrow. Very stiff sneaker. Every Saucony style of sneaker fits my son differently.

My son has only worn these for two months and there is already a hole in front left of his right shoe. I know he's a seven-year-old and is hard on things, but come on. Two months?! So disappointed.

Finding a shoe to fit my five and a half year old son has almost never been easy. His feet are extra wide and thick, so shopping for him means limited options. This is the third pair of this shoe we have purchased in a year or so. The first pair he wore through, understandably so wearing them daily. The second pair we got in the same size, but different color. Having recently grown out of those, we ordered a third pair. This current pair, my son chose the bright blue and black. He’s quite happy, as am I. We will probably continue ordering this model for years to come.

I purchased this for my 6 yr old, so in terms of rating for comfort, take it with a grain of salt. I had to get these shoes less than 2 months after getting him a pair of Nike Free runners which fell apart at the toe/front. My son is pretty active so I needed shoes with the bottom sole that goes up over the front/top, the Nike's just split open! And it's not like he's extensively scraping his toes. If you've got an active child, I recommend these types of runners with the sole that covers the front/top.

My eight year old son picked these out, and loves wearing them. He's been wearing Saucony for years, and they always hold up well, are light weight and comfortable. They've always been true to size, too.

This is the second pair we bought for our son. The first time we did the bright blue and now the black. He has a wide foot so we have to spend a little more than $20 on a Target shoe for a good fit. My pocketbook doesn't always love that. =) These shoes are good quality and hold up. We just get a new one each time he goes up in size and order the XW which works for him.

Perfect for our little guy! He loves them!
