These overshoes are great quality. The rubber is thick and durable and the sole is extremely grippy, even on slick, wet pavement. There are tons of questions about sizing so to help people out, I purchase a large and they fit my 10D strands and mcallisters perfectly. Would definitely recommend!

Rubbers for Halloween == What started out as a "proper" Halloween costume turned very practical. I bought a pair of dress rubbers a year ago as part of a "British gentlemen's rainwear" - together with tweed vest, gray ivy cap and a bumbershoot. While the rubbers made the look quite authentic, in the subsequent year I found various uses for them (since I bought them outright). I wear them to mow the lawn, wash the car, shovel snow, dig in the garden. They were impressively handy when I got stuck at my buddy's apartment. Neither of us had a shovel, so I pulled on my rubbers and we got a pair of tire chains on the Accord. His sneakers and socks were soaking wet, but my feet stayed completely dry. Thanks, rubbers! From retro costume to snow gear, these things are handy. Should've had a pair long ago -- and I'm loving the old-school look.

On the far side of a pandemic, I found myself tap dancing in a musical and needing "tap covers", a dance accessory specific to the theater. The craziness of this time frame has made them unavailable. So, out of desperation, I started thinking outside the box, and this came up in an internet search. I could not be more pleased. It was exactly what I needed to be on stage for an hour and a half in taps, but not tapping. When I pulled them off, the audience was thrilled. These are old-school galoshes with class, and with a cool new use!

I have been wearing AE shoes for 30+ years. I wear 12EEE and I have never been able to find boots that fit. These do. They are great! I am ready for the winter weather for the first time in a long time.

These are great for rainy days. Easy to slip on and take off. I carry them in my bag when I know it might rain that day.

Shoes: Player's shoe (walnut# 9.5 E Clifton shoe #black# 9.5 E bought this is a Large #black color# and seems to fit well, snug and the shoe doesn't swim in the galoshes #pun?). Yet to try them in rain but less worried about the weather destroying my shoes

I ordered a M for a size 9 shoe and it fits too tight and removes wax from the shoe. Large would definitely not fit the shoe well either. Not happy with the product based on the way it wears the leather alone.

I purchased the XL in accordance with the sizing chart recommendation. The overshoe is too big! My Jefferson's (size 10) easily slide in and out of the overshoe. I expected a snug fit. Just walking becomes interesting with over sized overshoe installed.

Purchased an xl pair. I wear an 11 B Allen Edmonds shoes. The overshoes do not fit well. They are very difficult to put on. The heel of the shoe is wider than the heel of the overshoe and the overshoe is not long enough to fit properly. They are an expensive waste of money !
