I have been a long time Blundstone wearer and I adore my 550 series boots. I wear an 8.5 in Blundstones and these heeled boots fit just right in an 8.5 as well. Remember that Blundstone sizing is a little different. Half sizes are only wider in width, not length. So an 8.5 Blundstone is like a US size 8 wide (though not super wide). If you feel like you're foot is being squished from the sides, go up 1/2 a size. If your toes are hitting the front, go up a full size (i.e. an 8 to a 9). If they feel small everywhere, try 1.5 sizes up. Anyway, I was skeptical about the heeled boots. The top opening looked so much smaller than the originals and I don't have skinny ankles or calves. Miraculously, they fit great, just with a thinner sock than what I normally wear. I knocked off a star for how narrow the opening is, and I think they would look better slightly wider at the top too. I would also recommend buying a boot jack for removing your boots. Any place that sells boots should have them (I bought mine at a farm store). I'm thrilled Blundstone came up with these and I can see wearing them with jeans, dress pants, or a dress. They're very comfortable and versatile!

These are gorgeous boots and were exactly what I was looking for. However, in spite of having a narrow ankle, it was all I could do to get the boots on. After only one day of wearing them, the stiff part of the back left boot dug into my lower leg and left it bruised and swollen. I tried wearing thicker socks the next day and had the same problem. I happened to be traveling and could barely get the boots off to go through security. I am returning these boots because at least in the pair I got, the left shoe has such an angle that it digs into the leg. Although these are beautiful and stylish boots, I think Blundstone needs to work on the fit and make them not only more comfortable to wear but also easier to slip on and off.

This is my first pair of blundstones. I got an 8.5 because I wanted extra width. The length fits perfectly. The boot is really tight. The arch support is standard and I have to use inserts since I’m on my feet 8-10 hours a day. They are not slip resistant but pretty close. I use them as an everyday boot even outside of work. I have been wearing them a week now and they have broken in a little bit, but I don’t think it will be the comfort level that regular bluestones are known for. I love the style and will keep wearing them hoping they’ll break in a little more. Water resistant and do well in snow. They are pricey so I’ll hold off on getting regular blundstone boots, but maybe those will be a little more comfortable once broken in.

this shoe is sooo cute! it fits tight (which I love). I have thin ankles and I love having a shoe that isn’t baggy. this shoe is pretty easy to put on, getting off can be a bit of a challenge. I did find that wool socks helped the shoe come off better. I wear custom orthotics so it was nice to see that the incerts were removable. I would 100% recommend this shoe. the back part (upper) takes a little bit of time breaking in, but I have worn them 3 times and it’s already getting better.

These boots feel fabulous once you get them on. They ARE NOT easy to get on and off at all BUT they are so comfortable and supportive I could almost sleep in them! I'm a wedding photographer and was looking for a shoe I could run around in on all kinds of terrain for 12 hours straight. I HOPE my feet don't swell because someone would have to saw me out of these things. In the meantime, they are luscious on my feet and look cool as hell

Third time’s a charm! I wear a 7 (US) I ordered my normal size and it was too short, exchanged for the 7.5, still too short, made one last exchange for the 8, and they couldn’t be any more perfect! the width was great as well. I have skinny ankles and these boots actually hug my ankles, that’s a serious win. Was able to work In them all day and the leather is already breaking in nicely. These boots are a must! Not sure about the sizing for any of the other colors, but size up one whole size, At least in the black.

I love these boots! I wear them in NYC and it makes walking around in cold weather so much more enjoyable. I purchased a full size larger. I'm typically a US 7, but the 7.5 did not fit either because my toe was still touching the front of the boot. I went with a size 8 and added the extra insert like Blundstone suggests. They are perfect and warm.

I love these boots. I took them on a trip to China and used them for walking in the city to hiking the Great Wall. They’ve been a perfect travel boot and cute enough to wear out. They’ve been great in the rain and cold weather too. I had to order one half size bigger than usual and they fit perfectly.

Let me start by saying this is a beautiful and high quality boot, but there is one major design flaw. The ankle opening are SO SO tiny! I tried the shoe on immediately upon receiving it and it was extremely difficult to get my foot in but where the trouble came was when I had to take the shoe off, it was a bad situation. I could not for the life of me get this shoe off my foot, I have high arches but still! I was so scared thinking I would have to cut the shoe off. I’ve never experienced something like this before. I am normally a 7.5 and got an 8 and they fit perfect, it’s just the ankle opening. It almost felt like it was effecting the blood flow to my foot. Maybe with time this would get better but I don’t have time to wrestle with my shoes for 20 minutes everyday. I am so bummed because they look beautiful but that ankle size is so impractical for the average person. :( these will be returned, the hunt for the perfect black Chelsea boot continues!

If you're going to shell out the money to buy these shoes, buy them direct from the blundstones website. I received a left shoe that was already broken in (and had been stretched out making it fit uncomfortably.) I requested to return, and my replacement pair were shoes that were EVEN MORE WORN IN. I understand people return shoes that don't fit, but this kind of creasing doesn't happen with 15 minutes of wear.

Ok, I wouldn't call these dressy, but they're the dressiest version of a functional boot that I've ever seen. I wanted a boot that would keep my feet dry in the winter and look a little more fashion-forward than my LL Bean shearling duck boots, and these work nicely. I wanted to write a review to address the issue of fit, which I see is a hot button with these boots. My feet are on the narrow side of medium width, with low arches. I'd say I have average ankles, not super skinny, but I'm generally slender and my ankles don't swell. I also, and forgive me for being specific but there seems to be some debate about this, have the physical ability to reach down and touch my feet. I typically wear an 8.5 in dress shoes and a 9 or 9.5 in boots and running shoes. I bought these in a US 9/ AU 6 and they fit perfectly out of the box. I have no trouble putting them on or taking them off, no struggle, no boot jack required. I tried them on first with a pair of LL Bean rag wool socks, the thickest socks I own and crucial for winter warmth, and they went on just fine, fit like a glove, and came off with a quick tug in about a second. The pull tabs were necessary, but they're there and they work great! I then tried them on with normal socks, and they're almost a little loose in the heel. This is my first pair of Blundstones, so I can't compare the fit to other models. I think the key with these boots might be to be very realistic about how you typically like to wear your shoes. When I say I wear a 9 in boots and running shoes, that's so that I have an inch between the tip of my toe and the end of the shoe. That's how these boots fit on me, with maybe a little less than an inch of room after I've walked for a while. These boots are made of stiff leather, so if you typically prefer to buy your shoes so that they fit closely to your toes, these boots will feel too tight for you in the size that you would normally buy. Arch height is the wild card with these, I think: I have lower arches and find that the boot doesn't even really touch the top of my foot when I stand, but if you have high arches I could see how these would be tight. In that case, ordering up a half size would probably give you enough room to be more comfortable. All in all, these seem like solid quality boots that will get a lot of wear autumn through spring. They look great with cropped pants, and with skirts for a casual look. They can definitely be styled business casual if you live in a place that gets real winters. 10/10 from me so far, and hoping they last for many years to come.

These boots are wonderful - I’d been wanting a pair for a while and was told to size up because of the narrowness of the boot. I’m a 7.5 and ordered an 8, and they fit perfectly. I have a bit more of a tomboy style and these are definitely more feminine than I’m used to, but they’re such a practical boot, so it works for me. Highly recommend!

These exceeded my expectations. They are lightweight and look awesome with leggings tucked in or skinny jeans pulled over the shoe opening. I do have to wear insoles in these, but I have flat feet and wear insoles in almost all of my boots. I'm normally a 7.5 but ordered these in a size 8, and they are perfect.

These are amazingly versatile and classically stylish. Great quality, good comfort. Minor heel rubbing issue for me as I’m breaking in but suspect will resolve. Aside from that, comfort is great! Perfect in rain and mud wipes off easily.

These boots are amazing. Very much worth the investment. They are stylish and comfortable out of the box. I wear between a 7.5 or 8. I got the 8 and am incredibly happy!! Thank you Blundstone for an awesome shoe and thank you Zappos for the awesome service!

If you are a human person with human feet, you will not be able to get these boots on. You will hurt yourself trying. Perhaps a flamingo would have an easier time.

I’m a consistent size 8, and these beauties fit *perfectly* right out of the box. I’ve had no troubles getting them on and off. They’re so comfortable, actually, that I wore them right away for a long day walking all over Seattle and Bainbridge Island. I’m in love. I’ve got Antique Brown, and I’ve already ordered them in black. Worth every penny.

As soon as I put them on, I thought 'these are perfect'. I'm a size eight and they fit perfectly...nice and snug with a pair of socks. I had ordered both an 8 and an 8.5 because I read that they run small but didn't even need to try the 8.5's on. As others mentioned, the shaft is very narrow so if you don't have slim ankles, you should probably try a different style. I know the 550's have a much wider shaft opening because I returned them for that reason. I can't wait for the weather to cool down to start wearing them!

First off I have pretty wide feet and reading the other reviews I was nervous they would be too snug. They are indeed pretty narrow and you gotta hold on tight to those tabs and take a deep breath, but once in, I love these boots and still tight on my right foot ( maybe my right foot is bigger? ) I’m totally confident these will stretch in time, they feel better with each wear. Snug, but really classic and good looking. I have already received compliments. Leather feels sturdy and nice. Love the stylish heel. I say go for it and pray for stretch!

These shoes are great, very cute and a good classic black boot. I read the one review about them coming used-looking, but have had good experiences with Zappos so decided to buy them anyway. Unfortunately, they did come with creases as if they had been worn for a while. Since I paid full price for the boots, I ended up sending them back.

These definitely run small. I usually wear a 9 or 9.5 and I ended up with the 10 for these boots. They also run narrow so if you have wide feet these probably aren’t for you.

I LOVE these shoes! I've been eyeing Blundstones for years but the unisex sizing is just too wide for my narrow feet. These more feminine boots have a great heel and run a bit more narrow which I love. I get compliments on them every time I leave the house.

At first glance, I thought these boots looked a bit small and I was concerned about trying to wear them and possibly end up with sore, blistery feet. I set them aside for about 2 weeks. This morning I felt brave, so decided to wear them. Surprisingly, I was able to slide my foot in (even with medium weight socks), though I definitely had to use both pull tabs. I wore these boots all day and walked around a lot. PERFECT. Super comfy! I love the grip of the sole -- it feels a bit bouncy and also grips well to the floor. So happy I finally broke down and bought a pair of Blundstones. I've wanted them for 20 years. They're expensive, but I think worth it and the quality is very nice. I'll definitely buy another pair.
