I am generally a size 11 but per others comments I went half size smaller and they fit perfectly. The gaiter on this will be nice when in deep snow, but it does make it tough to put theses boots on. I think they will loosen up over time. I tried the Caribou but there wasn't enough support for hiking rough terrain, although the Caribou were almost "slip on" compared to these. I would go with these if you are hiking, the caribou if you just want warmth and comfort.

My first pair of these lasted 13 years before the rubber boot began to crack. Not too bad. very comfortable and warm. I did buy again for $12 more than the original pair.

Nice boot but was much to small for the size. I was also hoping for a open hook on the top part of the boot but its a closed loop. consequently I found opening the boot up to get my foot in was difficult, then once in it was apparent I needed the next size up.

These are great boots, but they run small due to the gratuitous insulation inside. So, you should buy a full size larger than you normally do.

I'll Start with sizing, I measure a size 9 but find that every shoe and sneaker i purchase from such brands as Nunn Bush, Florsheim, Keen to Merrills I need a 9.5. perhaps my Flintstone feet play a roll in this. I ordered a size 9.5 and unexpectedly they were too small. The boots have a generous amount of cushy insulation in them and this is likely what makes the size smaller. Today the size 10's arrived...ahhh much better. Nice to walk in, comfortable to wear and without a doubt have that sturdy winter Hiker Lumber jack look better than any other boot here. I found them easy to put on and take off, the top gaiter has an easy barrel type cinch that is very simple and easy to use. The clasp on the side is also an easy function to the boots. Here at day 1 I'm pleased and time will tell if they can pass muster. For now its looking good.

After second attempt I got the right size. These are second pair of same boot 15 years ago. Great for all around and especially snow shoeing.The service from Zappos was very impressive and responsive. I will continue to shop with them.

So I too am replacing a 12-14 yr old pair of these Sorels. They gave excellent service until the lower welt sepparated (broke away) from the leather upper. No complaint. My old pair were 11 D. The new pair were (I hope) 1/2 size to small at 11D. Just a heads up..these newer boots are SMALLER than the old sizes. This contradicts the Zappos fitting wizard. I recommend you buy UP 1/2 to a Full size.
