I was so excited at first to have seem to have found a hook n' loop winter capable boot that was 4E+ width in my size for a non-insane price (they tend to run closer to $150-200 instead of $100-ish) that I immediately ordered this as soon as I found it here. Unfortunately the sizing is totally off for this "5E" boot. Its more like a 3E, and I know what those feel like because in the many years I've been buying shoes I've found my 4E size to be difficult to find and so I've struggled to make those work. And boy do they ever NOT work. More specifically they're too narrow from the toe box to almost the middle of my foot. Just walking around the house with them on carpet with socks was enough for them to start to abrade the skin on the front of my foot. And they're squeezing my foot from the sides there, not at all grinding into the front of my toes here BTW, so I know its a width issue. So back they go. Actual construction quality was mediocre. The materials on this shoe aren't all that good either. Particularly on the hook n' loop straps. Which is extra bad because if the hook n' loop part breaks these will just fall off or flop around on your feet uncomfortably. Cushioning was also poor compared to my sneakers (New Balance Fresh Foam 1080v7 and New Balance 860v4) but I expected that, this being a boot and all which I've found to generally have little to no cushioning in general so I wouldn't knock them for that. I had already pre-bought some inserts to put in to address that but my foot won't even fit in the shoe with them on. And they're not some super duper thick orthotics either! Just some store bought el-cheapo foam/gel things that provide little support and just are there for cushioning. Style-wise these are somewhat goofy looking (hook n' loops on boots is always going to stand out some, the black color helps make it less noticeable from across the room or street which is good enough to me) but I don't care about that in the least. I know some do though which is why I knocked it down to 2 stars on style. I'm all about practicality when it comes to shoes for non-fancy type situations. And these would've been everyday walking in winter snow and winter semi-formal office shoes for me. Honestly I would've put up with the mediocre construction and poor materials and taken my chances and just kept them if the boots had fit because its a hassle for me to send them back plus like I said for the price there just isn't much out there when it comes to boots like these. But incorrect width is a show stopper for me.

I am a diabetic and was recently fitted for a pair of Propet shoes and orthopedic insoles. Living up North, I needed a pair of boots. These have excellent grip soles are comfortable and warm. They fit comfortably with my orthodic insoles.

13 ww is a good wide, comfortable shoe/boot. The three strap closure is very comfortable for all day wear. A great choice since warm feet and ankles make winter survival possible.

I've used Propet for years and am always glad I do. These boots give me a feeling of extra support, the closure can be fine tuned to exactly what feels good throughout the day. They also have a very solid feeling and I can tell exactly where I am putting my feet while in a construction work zone or hiking in the forest

These boots were extremely stiff with no "give". They were not comfortable.

I like the boots! Fit nicely and comfortable. Not very pretty but to work in the yard who cares.

Bought for my husband who has developed a hand problem making it difficult to tie shoelaces. He is very happy with these boots and has said that they fit properly and are extremely comfortable. A double win.

These shoes did well for last winter’s mild snow. very comfortable and easy to put on.

Don't expect these to be comfortable for a few weeks before they soften up. Then they stretch out and get slipper like. I've had a few pair of the lace-up version, and loved them. These have some seams over your instep that are digging into the top of my foot. I'm hoping this smooths out as they stretch to my feet. Fingers crossed. Great motorcycle boot with no laces to get caught on stuff. The style is full on "GRAMPAS TO FAT TO TIE HIS SHOES"

I wear a 15 5e so it is always difficult to find shoes that fit. The only shoes that i have found that fit perfectly are the Propet’ brand. I always had to try on dozens of shoes and never found any that fit until I found Propet’ at Zappos. I was looking for a light weight shoe with a high top for riding my motorcycle. These fit the bill perfectly as have earlier purchases and priced right too.

We bought these, along with another pair of Propet boots for our 13yo Boy Scout - and these got returned. He said the fit was fine, they were comfortable, etc - he just didn't like how high they were - and it made it cumbersome for him to walk comfortably. I imagine a teen/man without CP that requires a high-top style boot would find these to be perfectly comfortable.

Fit & size ok. Velcro closure nice and easy to get in & out of the boot. Very "clunky" looking, heavier than expected, not stylish and much more like a work boot. Not what I was looking for. Probably very functional.

These shoes were disappointing because the width was so narrow compared to the description. This brand is supposed to cater to wide feet. This particular pair at least does not.

These boots were too heavy and clunky for me.

Had to return this item. They are extremely heavy and at the end of the day my legs hurt and my feet felt like I was standing all day. If they could only make a velcro strap shoe that was comfortable, I'd be a customer again. The sole shank is so hard there is hardly any give to the sole when walking. It was so bad, I felt my cadence had changed to accommodate the boots.
