I've been wearing Birkenstocks for nearly 20 years. I ordered these in my usual size 39 regular and they fit exactly as I expected (I wear an 8 medium or wide width in other brands). Please note that regular width in Birkenstock fits like wide width, and narrow fits like medium width. The soft footbed is fantastic as well. The leather is a bit drier than expected and the color was lighter than the photos, but after applying some waterproof treatment they darkened to a great shade that I love and will develop into a beautiful patina. I will always be a Birkenstock fan!

I have some suede Bostons and was looking to change things up to leather. Ordered my usual size. They were a little bit shorter and much heavier! Returning. Thanks Zappos for your amazing customer support.

The top buckle area on right shoe was stiff and hurt the top of my foot.

Wanted to love these as I am dealing with plantar fasciitis and my Birkenstock sandals immediately relieve the pain and wanted a closed version for the cold weather, but these did not do it for me. They felt too wide and "floppy" on the top, and the sole was not as supportive with the soft bed. Will try another model and see if it is any better.

I love the color, however the leather is easily scratched. The were sent back. As a side note...in every other European shoe I wear a size 41. In the Birkenstock clog I seem to between a 41 and a 42. My toes fit well in the front, but there is some room in the back of the 42. My toes bump in the 41s. I wear a 10 in American sizing.

It was scuffed

These specific shoes were clearly used. The print on the heel is rubbing off, and they are creased. There are areas of oil from feet inside the shoe. Bummed because this was a restock I signed up for due to the first pair having blue pen and black scuff marks. I was offered a discount on the first shoe, and now I’m thinking about accepting. I signed up to get another pair, because it makes them not returnable once discounted. This pair were definitely worn. First photo comparing both pair. (Left shoe is unworn pair-right shoe is this pair.) Second photo shows creasing indicating being worn also. Third photo left shoe is the unworn scuffed pair, right shoe is worn shoe. Maybe I wouldn’t have been able to tell if I didn’t have both, but they’ve clearly been worn.

I ordered the oiled leather and received a brown suede that showed up as two shoes in a bag, no box. So shady. Zappos used to be a reputable site, not anymore. Sad thing is they were a Christmas gift and won’t be able to find a new one in time for Christmas.

Unlike any Birkenstock I have ever tried. Leather was very hard and stiff and size was way off i.e. too large. Very disappointed as I have worn Birkenstocks many times in the past. I'm actually wonderful if they were knock-offs.

LOVE these shoes. Wear them to work or casual hangouts. So comfortable.

My son loves these clogs. He typically wears tennies or the Birkenstock Arizona sandals. This is his first pair of clogs and he wears them all the time and says they are super comfortable. He wears a 44 in the Arizona and the same size in these clogs. He especially likes the soft footbed that still provides great arch support.

The Birkenstocks Boston are just classic. Wear them at home, wear them at the grocery store. They are stylish and comfortable for walking. Awesome arch support and just incredible cork footbed for which they are best known. Plus they simply last forever. Not my first pair of Boston’s. That pair is still going strong after 10+ years.

I followed Birkenstock sizing recommendations in order to obtain the proper fit. I also have the Arizona oiled leather, soft footbed sandals. Originally, I didn’t like the styles, but have grown to appreciate the comfort.

The leather takes a minute to adapt to your foot, but the fit and finish are excellent. I love these shoes.

Neuropathy led me to put a foam insole into the shoe. It doesn't shift around and feels good!

The break in period is a bit easier with the softer foodbed option

I always thought I had a wider foot, but I bought the regular width in these and started wearing them barefooted in June. By September, they were flying off my feet. I later bought a narrow width and have been wearing them for a year and they are still great barefooted. I have worn the regular width with socks for a year, and they're still great. I can wear either pair all day and have no foot or knee pain.

This is my first pair of Boston’s and I’m in love! The comfort the support is a 10/10. Today is my first day wearing them and I have no complaints, super durable and I will be ordering another pair!

So the second pair of the Boston Soft Footbed - Oiled Leather that I received after sending the 1st pair back are perfect. They fit well, are comfortable and the arch support area is spot on. The exchange service was seamless and fast. A word about the 1st pair I returned: They felt way too wide to the point where I had to buckle them at the first hole and even then they were falling off my feet. The metatarsal/arch support in the left shoe was significantly higher than the right and was painful. I wore them for one day and decided to call customer service to return them. Zappo's really does customer service right and the replacement pair are awesome. This is a comfortable style and great manufacturer and I plan on getting another pair soon. Just know that if you wear a medium width you should order these in the "regular" width.

In regular width birks I am a 38, however when I went with the narrow style I had to size up to a 39. The 38 felt shorter in addition to being more narrow. These are my absolute favorite every day shoes. The oiled leather holds up much better than suede and is easy to clean if necessary (I use saddle soap!). They feel a tad firm at first, however they mold to the shape of your foot and are extremely comfortable even for wearing for long periods of time. They go with so many outfits and can look cute and pulled together or they make a great addition to sweatpants and a sweatshirt for the lazy days. I even wear them around the house like slippers! Would definitely recommend.
