Terrific! I usually wear 9M (40-40.5) and was concerned about the width because of other reviews. I ordered the 9M and they fit beautifully in the length and width. I even have wiggle room in the toe box. I changed the laces to ribbons, which allows even a tighter lace up, and now my heels slip less plus my socks don’t get eaten by the shoes. My husband thinks the shoes look cute, too. I’m a “woman of a certain age” and a primary school teacher who wanted something comfortable and stylish for jeans, trousers, leggings, or dresses with tights. I tried my 3/4 PowerStep inserts, but they raise my heel more than I like so I’m going to see if I have enough support without them - they’re very cushy inside. I’m thrilled that the shoes are leather and have a great gripping rubber sole. I tried many different oxfords and heeled oxfords, but none worked well for me until this one. These oxfords look just like my dad’s wingtips, but updated with the wedge for feminine flare, though I could see them work as a unisex shoe, too.

I wear a 9.5 - 10, I also have bunions on both feet and arthritis in my left foot. I saw the complaint about being too narrow, but I took a chance and am very happy that I did. I got the 9.5 and the shoe fit great right from the start. I walk about 5 miles a day at work...I did not even get the 'first wear' blister(s). The shoe is super comfortable and I have received many compliments. I am happy with them.

LOVED the way these photographed. Loved the aubergine color too (which is really more like ox blood - reminiscent of Doc Martens from the 90s). I was so excited to get these and jumped at buying them when Zappos put them on sale. I actually bought two. But I was so disappointed when they arrived. Wearing them, they looked like Frankenstein shoes! Argh! Not the look I was going for. So, so bummed. They photographed beautifully but just didn't translate IRL for me. Had to return them both. On fit, they did feel comfortable. Footbed was cushy. Shoe was light. Width and length felt true to size. Low to moderate arch support at best - which is one of my biggest gripes about Clarks. I love the brand but their shoes sure could use more arch support.

Obsessed with this style, hope you're listening Clarks. I've got the the desert boot and wallabee in the same size, and I would agree with other reviewers these can feel a little narrow but I think its largely due to the material of the shoe. Although they felt snug when I tried them on, after wearing them around the house they felt alright. I was hesitant to keep them, but I wore them to work (computer job) and had no issues. There is localized padding in sole that can take some getting used to as well. I'm really glad they are working out for me because I'm really into the shoe's style

I love these shoes but they are too narrow in the front and they slip off my heels. I love the style and cushioning, plus the extra bit of height. I’m not happy to be returning them.

Perfect fit! This shoe is so comfortable, and the insole feels heavenly.

I like these shoes because I wanted shiny black leather oxfords (so I could tie them) with a little kick (the wingtips check that box). As usual Clarks are well made and I was pleasantly surprised by the extra cushion in the foot beds. Three stars on comfort because my feet/heels slip out the back -- not good when you are already clumsy like me. First day of wear the shoes were comfortable enough so I'm keeping them!

After reading the reviews, I was a little nervous to order these (I wear a size 9 and ordered a 9). So glad I decided to order them! They fit true to size- such a stylish, and comfortable shoe!

I love the style of these shoes. They run narrow for a medium. A 7.5 in a wide width would have been perfect.

Bought for wife and she loves them. The color and wingtip design are very stylish. She raves about the comfort and the compliments she got from coworkers.

These are beautifully made. They look amazing. But, they are extremely narrow, and wide with was not available to me. I really wanted to keep them. ??

Great classy shoe

I wound up sizing up a full size. These run really small and narrow. The full size up is perfect. These are so stylish, esprfor a comfort shoe.

Fits well and looks good.

I really wanted to love these shoes. I wear a 9 in most shoes but with Clarks I wear 9 1/2. I tried both in this shoe and the 9 1/2 was a little more comfortable but I still felt like they were a little too narrow at the toe, and with the hard leather I wouldn't expect them to stretch much. Probably fine for most but I have problems with my little toes not having enough room in a lot of shoes. I have Clarks loafers that are very comfortable, but this shoe is stiff and just won't work for me.

These are great looking shoes, but quite stiff when right out of the box. They were very difficult to get on and seem to run narrow. I returned them.

These shoes are so cute! The left one fit perfectly the right one was painfully narrow. The stitching at the widest part of the foot pressed into the bone on the inside of my foot horribly. It was unbearable. A friend told be to cut the stitch and that helped alleviate the pressure. I'm going to put my shoe stretcher in it for a few days and hopefully it will be comfy like the left one.

I have wanted some platform oxfords for a long time, so I was excited for these. I had the same experience as other reviewers - they felt very narrow! I have somewhat narrow feet, so I was hopeful it wouldn't be an issue, but alas! I didn't size up at the time because it wasn't available, and everything but the width in the toe box was fine. However - I was able to stretch these by taking them to a cobbler. The right shoe is still a tiny bit tight, but feels more like a normal new shoe as opposed to a torture device. Style-wise, these are just great!

I have a very narrow foot and these do run narrow. They slip in the heel quite a bit, but I’m keeping them because narrow shoes are hard to find!

Super cute and trendy with a cushy foot bed. The toe box was sadly too narrow for me.

I wanted so badly to keep these. Super cute shoe. I have "shoe issues", or should I say, "feet issues" which then becomes "shoe issues"! They are a bit narrow. My one foot is larger than the other and the smaller foot kept popping out of the heal bad enough that I felt I couldn't keep them. Loved the height the wedge gives.

I so want to keep these! The style is adorable, but as at least one other reviewer mentioned, the heel slips quite a bit. It's odd, really, as the rest of the shoe is a perfect fit. The toe box is narrow, but then so are my toes. Fantastic style, but too much slippage to be comfortable.

I love the shoes, but as other reviewers have stated, they do run narrow and slip at the heel. I usually wear a 6.5 in Clarks, but due to it being narrow, I sized up to a 7. They are a tad too long, but with my inserts and a medium weight sock, they will work. I considered exchanging for a 6.5 to try them on, but Zappos is out of stock in that size. I love the color and style, and they are fairly comfortable. Great price, too. Zappos is always great to deal with. Thanks for the great selection of shoes and your great service!

I love the look of this shoe but the heel slips terribly with thin socks/tights, something I didn’t realize until after I’d worn them out and about. I plan to take them to a shoe repair shop to see if they have something to snug up the heel fit. They’re also quite narrow, which irritates my foot after a long day. It’s going to be a love/hate relationship with these, I fear.
