I couldn't even get my foot in this boot when I ordered my usual size 6.

I had bought one other Vivo pair of boots (Ryder) so I knew they ran small (those ones I could only wear by taking out the innersole/footbed.) I am normally a 10 but ordered an 11 in the Sharpei. Happened to be on sale so figured I'd risk it. I was not disappointed! B/c of a bit extra room I was able to put in my own Birkenstock insole. They are the warmest most comfortable boots now! For those of you who are not used to barefoot/minimalist shoes, I suggest ordering at least 1/2 size up and inserting your own inner sole. For those of you used to minimalist, you still might want 1/2 size in order to get good "toe splay". In terms of style, they are no more strange-looking than Uggs. Though I would say, b/c the top opening is kind of narrow, work best with either tights or very skinny jeans - I don't like any "bunching" of pants above the boot as the boot itself already bunches a bit.
