I wanted a low heeled stylish black bootie that was of good quality leather and I got it with this shoe. It is very comfortable, soft leather, roomy toe bow and runs wide . i usually wear a 12ww but I fitted into a 12w. The shoe bends nicely when you walk and I do not anticipate trouble when I wear them this fall ( it's August now). The heel is a nice rubbery material. It will not peel off like some cork or wood looking heels with a small little heel sole tip. I think it was priced right too. The bootie has a nice shine to it, very comfortable. Zipper is easy on and off

Unlike most shoes, the toe box was large enough for me. It's also an attractive and comfortable shoe. Unfortunately, the heels are almost as wide as the toe box and I almost felt as if I could just slide it off. My heels kept riding up in the back. I simply have difficulty to fit feet.

The fit was perfect. The previous pair I ordered had too big a heel. Laura S in cust service recommended these. They are perfect just what I was looking for. This is a beautiful shoe, though the leather was stiffer than I expected, but the sizing isn't good. I wear a 7 1/2 W. I have my feet measured at least yearly and I'm just a hair under a wide at 7 1/2 length. These run narrow across the ball of my feet. Kind of felt like my feet were being folded. Not the narrowest I've come across, but still, clearly not as wide as the actual measure of a 7 1/2 W.

Love, Love, Love these boots! I have feet that are extremely hard to fit. I have wide flat feet with narrow heals. My feet also tend to swell during the day. Usually I can get my feet into boots, but cannot zip them. Have tried several wide fit boots. I had pretty much given up, but I saw the spandex inserts and since these were on sale I thought I would give them a try. They fit like a glove. At first I thought they were not going to zip, but I zipped them up a couple of inches and then put them on. They easily zipped the rest of the way while on my foot. They are comfortable and stylish.

i bought these shoes because they are lamb skin and I love lamb skin. They are a very comfortable shoe and I didn't have to break them in. They work for me. Also, Zappos has awesome customer service.

These shoe/ankle boots are VERY comfortable. Perfect for the working woman that needs to do a lot of walking and standing all day long! Plan to buy another pair to keep in closet to replace these when these wear out!

These boots are very comfortable. However, unlike Tate books I have purchased in the past, the leather on these seemed thinner as it tore easily on the toe and heel.

These booties are very comfortable. I removed the arch support for my orthotics. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE them. I'm a size 10 Wide with orthotics. Really hard to find "comfortable shoes". I walk a lot and am on my feet all day.

I loved the look of these boots. The leather was extremely soft. The width felt a little tight at first, but because the leather was so soft, I think it would have given a bit with just a wearing or two. The issue I had with the boots is that the heel was too loose. I slid out with each step. Had to return them which was disappointing as I loved the look and they were a great price.

This is an excellent pair of shoes. A very good buy.

I wanted black ankle boots and these are perfect. I wear size 9 and these 9s fit perfectly. Very comfortable and look great.

Love these shoes. Extremely comfortable. Cute with jeans. I wear a 10W and true to size.

very comfy and supportive- plain style

I wear an 11W, and in the past, David Tate has made true 11W shoes. Not the case with this pair. My little toes were pushed in just a bit too much, and I knew an all-day wear would just make it worse. You don't want that feeling where when you take off your shoes, your toes unglue themselves from each other! I don't want to go up to a WW as I have narrow heels and as it was, I could slip my feet out of these without unzipping them (though it didn't impede walking). Back they go.

I have a similar low cut boot made by David Tate that I bought several years ago, that I liked a lot, in a size 5, so I expected the same fit, but this low cut boot was too tight, so I had to return it.

Comfortable shoe. Roomy toe box. The placement of the zipper is a little weird - it's on the outer side of the ankle, not the inner side like most zippered boots. The zipper is at an angle, curving up around the foot. The zipper zips well off my foot, but the angle makes zipping it a little difficult when I am wearing the boots. Made in China.

After getting the right size they are very comfortable and i love them.

Beautiful soft leather and nice styling. Forward boot was snug, the heel was floppy. Surprising since I have another pair of taller David Tate boots that have been the most perfect fitting and comfortable boots ever. I have a 2A narrow foot and select size 11 to accommodate socks and for roomy toe box in boots. Heels should be even more narrow for a standard fit.

The bottom didn’t cover my whole foot. It felt like an inch in each side were hanging off.

At first, I thought these seemed like they might make a good everyday kind of boot. The first pair was too big (8-1/2W), so I sent them back for an 8W. The fit is perfect - but they’re just not right. The leather looks a little cheap, the arch support doesn’t feel great, and it just doesn’t seem like a really well made shoe. Also - the zipper is on the outside of the boot (usually zippers are on the inside part) - so once you get the boot on, you have to reach around to the outside of your ankle to zip it up. Maybe it’s just me, but it seemed like a pain. Decided to return them - even on a sale, I think there are better shoes to buy.

These shoes fit larger than I expected, so I’m returning for a half size smaller. The width was good, and I think they’ll be comfortable work shoes (I spend a lot of time on my feet). They aren’t the most stylish, but they’re cute for every day comfortable shoes.
