Great boot! I wear 8M and bought 7M. I tried them on after a 12 hour nursing shift with my medium weight socks and regretted sizing down. I put them on this afternoon and the fit is great whether barefoot or with slightly thinner socks. Not pantyhose socks, but actual cotton blend socks. A size 8.5 could probably wear these- when I slip my foot forward, there is 1/2” in the back of the heel. Not sloppy for me, though. Just wide enough for me, but maybe not wide enough for a wide foot. I can’t tell yet how much they will stretch. I have a slight bunion on one foot- not a problem. Can be worn zipped or unzipped. Zipper is only 3” long. Very soft, smooth, and comfortable inside even with bare feet! I often throw on my boots without socks and run to the store, mailbox, or bumming around the yard. Even in shorts, I wear booties around outside. I’m supposed to wear navy scrubs, but prefer blue Eddie Bauer Guide pants. They are a tiny bit short and constantly tuck into the top of the Sofft booties I wear now. It doesn’t seem to be a problem with these. They don’t look too much like Pilgrim shoes with that front flap. The flap doesn’t rub the front of my ankle. If anyone would hate that rubbing, it would be me! Very soft, smooth, excellent quality. Some tread, soft low heel. They sound like I’m wearing nice boots, not clacky on hard floors. They would be PERFECT if they had a western type heel- cut in at the bottom. You will probably fall in love with these. Photo- pretend that dorky sock is a pair of tights.

These Born fit perfectly, however, I have been much happier with Born shoes from 5-10 years ago...the sole on these shoes is thin....I feel like the sole is only as thick as cardstock. The leather is scratching very easy as well. Disappointing - have only worn them about 4 times. for $134 I thought I would get a higher quality shoe.

The ample cushioning under the ball of the foot plus the very cute style makes this bootie a winner. I'm very hard to fit and to please, and this one satisfies my number 1 requirement for buying a new pair of shoes: it must be comfortable right out of the box.

I love these boots! I have a very picky foot (bunion sure years ago), and these are totally comfortable all day long. I strongly recommend ordering 1/2 size smaller than your usual size. Literally every pair of shoes in my closet is an 8 1/2 or 9 EXCEPT this one pair which is an 8 and it fits perfectly.

This is a beautiful boot, quality leather, very stylish, extremely comfortable with the usual Born supportive footbed. Unfortunately I have a stupid bunion on my right foot that pressed a bit because the toe box is slightly narrower than I am used to. I so wanted to keep them and tried to convince myself the pain wasn't too bad, but I had to return them to try another Born with a wider toe.

I've been looking for a stylish bootie I can walk in all day and dress up or dress down and these are great. I wore them on a trip right after I received them, all day walking through airports and then around a downtown area. For the first part of the day I wore them without socks (I was flying from Houston on a hot day and couldn't bear to wear socks) and then once I arrived in my cold weather destination put on some thin wool socks. They were comfortable with and without socks (although I'm not sure I could wear thick socks with them - not usually necessary since I live in Houston). These are perfect for what I was looking for. Comfortable and stylish.

Loved this boot when I received it. Have not worn it out yet, but feels very comfortable - a little narrower in the toe area, but not tight. It looks very stylish also. Was looking for a shorter heel and this is perfect. Very nice quality.

I normally wear a size 11, but I had to get a 10 in these. They are the MOST COMFORTABLE boot I own. They form to your foot after a couple of wearings. I have worn these for several hours in a row, standing the whole time on a concrete floor....very comfortable!! I hate cold weather, but these little boots make it so much better!

Love, love,love these booties. Wear them with straight leg jeans and leggins. Not to dressy just perfect. I think they run big. I'm usually 7 1/2-8 in shoe or boot. Got the 7 and they fit perfect with no sock, which is how I want to wear them. You won't be sorry with Born!

These are exactly as described... and exactly what I wanted. (Yay!) I was looking for Chelsey-style boots with a low heel, and am very pleased with this purchase. They look really cute with tights and skirts, but can also pull double-duty under pants. From above (especially under pants), the toe looks similar to a cowboy boot. The only (very minor) drawback is that the sole is a bit casual because of the "lug-boot" styling, but I'm overlooking that minor thing.

Love these boots. Very comfortable. On my feet all day long, outdoors and inside. Feet stay warm and cozy.

This is my 3rd pair of Born boots/shoes. They have all fit well, are made well and I really appreciate the cushioned sole and heel. I appreciate Zappos always delivering within a day or two after ordering so I’m able to enjoy my purchase quickly.

These are a nice solid black boot - born boots are my go to. I will say the front/top flap is a little awkward - catches on pants, bends a little. That's the only reason it has a 4 star... but fit and quality are 5 star as usual with Born.

These shoes seem crazy comfortable as of trying them on. Very easy to put on also. They also look really pretty on. While they felt a little heavy in my hand, they do not feel heavy on my feet.

I bought a second pair in brown. I’m always hesitant to buy shoes online because you never know they fit right or are comfortable. These exceeded expectations. I’m on my feet a lot with work and I have no pain at the end of the day. Highly recommend

Fit was spot on for me from the box. These were not my first choice, but the fit sold me-no cruel shoes for me. They look great with the slim/skinny leg jeans. Worry about the stacked leather heel holding up because I plan to put some miles on these cuties.

I love the leather on this boot—It has a weathered look. I bough the brown rust color. They are slightly wider than some of my other boots but not enough to change the size. I felt like they were true to my size in length.

I was looking for a cute but comfortable shoe that I could wear to work but that wouldn't hurt my feet even after a long day. These are awesome. Stylish enough to wear to the office but perfect for long walks/shopping/etc. I love the comfort of Born shoes and these were no exception! If I had to downsize to only one pair of shoes it would likely be these.

Super comfy right out of the box. Lightly padded sole, but not too much. Soft leather, didn't bother my bunions at all. If there were other colors in this size (they are being clearanced right now), I'd buy additional colors. Rolled up my skinny jeans and rocked these out all day!

I had to order a half size down from my regular show size. I love love love this boot! The workmanship is super and the comfort is super. This is actually my second pair of this boot. I love this boot so much I ordered it again. My first pair is on its third year and still going strong. I ordered a second pair because I was afraid they wouldn’t be making this boot when pair no. 1 is done. So pair no. 2 is sitting in my closet waiting for pair no. 1 to go. It may be another 3 years! Bring a high school teacher, I am on my feet all day. I feel like I am wearing slippers. Soooo comfortable!

First off .. LOVE Born shoes and boots! These fit true to size. I went with reviews and ordered a 1/2 size down -- and they were too small. I returned and reordered, and viola, perfect fit. They are comfortable right out of the box. The look best with ankle length pants and jeans.

Fit was a little big in the toe box. But I kept them to wear with heavier socks. Overall, I’m very happy with these boots

I thought I was buying the same model of bootie I purchased years ago. This Kristina was cut lower on the ankle which I didn't like, and my heel pulled out of the boot when i walked. I don't know if it's a sizing issue as I ordered my usual size 7. Very disappointed, but customer service was awesome in helping me look for a replacement style. I didn't find it yet, but she was awesome. Thanks, Lisa
