My fussy feet (active bunion on right foot, "fixed" one on left, complete with screw that reduces my ability to flex my big toe -- sorry if TMI, but relevant to review lol) LOVE these boots right out of the box. I wore them yesterday for the first time to do errands -- on my fussy feet for hours and ZERO discomfort. Amazing! They feel like a foot massage, I am not kidding. I wear an 8.5-9 M and these in 8.5M fit me perfectly. The distressed grey color is fabulous -- perhaps one of the most flexible colors out there if you want something different than black. That said, I am considering getting these in black as well, as I anticipate wearing these boots until they fall apart. And I doubt they will fall apart anytime soon -- I have another pair of Born ankle boots that are worn with great love and still holding up. In fact, the older they get the cooler they look. At first it seemed that they were so narrow I might have to return them, but wearing thinner socks helped and contrary to my first thought about the lining, it does allow stretch. They are very comfortable if I wear thin socks, and the lining inside is so soft and comfortable that thinner socks is all I need. If you are somewhere between sizes, get the larger size, but I think even in time, these will be able to accommodate my feet in normal socks. There was ONE problem that required my actual modification of these boots, and that is the inner zipper on the RIGHT boot bent inward into my leg and it was so uncomfortable that I needed to do something. I don't know if it was a manufacturer's flaw (I could see nothing different about it), or if it was just softer leather on that boot's inseam than the other or what, but after cutting an old credit card into a thin strip and duct taping that between the zipper and the zipper's guard on the inside, it solved this problem and I did not have to return them. The leather is good quality, the soles are soft and therefore allow a quiet step as well as shock absorption, both are marks in favor of these boots. I love the style, and while there had been a question earlier about whether the straps actually work to adjust the width at the top, it appears that the top strap does indeed allow for a _small_ bit of adjustment if you set it to a wider size. Buying boots over the internet is tough, but these boots are really nice, and Zappos is very customer friendly.

I got these to replace a beloved pair of three-buckle Liv Reikers that I wore until they literally fell apart. Sadly, that style isn’t available anymore. And while they are not the same, they are a close second. The calf is wider than the Reiker, which I don’t love, but it’s still a good width for someone with narrower calves, and fits over jeans. Good arch support. The sole is actually better in snow than the Reiker, with lots of grip. I will probably come to love this boot. It’s just hard to replace a favorite. Though this one comes darn close.

I absolutely love these boots! I want to order them in distressed grey as well. Then, I have my winter shoe wardrobe complete. Born is the best! The only brand that I know I can order online, is always true to size, comfortable and high quality. I like that this boot is not an ankle or knee boot - in between - just right! These go with everything - leggings, dresses and look fantastic! I absolutely recommend and will order the grey as soon as I have my pennies saved up! I have no problem paying for quality. These will last years! Super comfortable right out of the box!

Nice boots, fit true to size, and good quality. But they popped up in a narrow-calf search, and they are not remotely narrow at the top. I could fit my whole fist into the tops of these with them on. They looked a little like Peter Pan boots on my skinny calves.

After years of running, I need support in shoes and have had to give up thin soled high heeled boots. (Honestly it was probably running in those in NYC that did me in). These boots are amazing. They're supportive enough. Cute as heck. And comfortable for walking. (It's Los Angeles - and only half mile at a time - but that's where I am). I have other Born boots, but these are my hands down favorite.

Love these fun boots. Just the right height for me to wear leggings or jeans- I sometimes have a hard time fitting taller boots over my calves because I’m a runner. These were perfect and I’m so happy! Love the look and they are so comfy. I only wear a 5.5 shoe so I have to wear a 6 in born shoe - the shoes are always long,but I can wear big Sox and no with problems with the fit. Love them.

I was quite impressed with the boots , soft leather , comfortable foot bed , no sizing up . They were exactly what I was looking for ! I would highly recommend the Ivy boot , comfort, a bit of style all rolled into one package. I personally am a fan of Born boots .

I simply love these boots . They were super comfortable straight out of the box . I ordered my regular size 8;, I did not size up . They are stylish , the leather is soft , the foot bed is quite comfortable ???? . I have been searching for a comfortable everyday boot , and have finally found them . I would highly recommend.

Love these boots, worn all day straight out of the box on very picky feet. Can dress up or down. Neutral color so goes with just about anything. Thanks, Zappos, for great customer service!

I had to go a half a size down (I normally wear a 10) and the middle of the foot felt very tight at first. They do stretch out a bit and mold to your foot with wear. I have had zero issues with these hurting my feet, even after lots of walking (and dancing). The style is a little edgy and moto looking which gives them character, but still makes them super cute with jeans, or even dresses.

Have had these a few months and been very happy with them. Very comfortable. Spent 4 days walking all over NYC in them and have been on my feet for 7 hours straight with no complaints. Spray waterproofed them with 3 coats and they have held up in light rain and snow. They look great with jeans and leggings and fit easily over pants. In fact, they are quite wide at the top - I wouldn't mind them to be a bit narrower - but they would be a good choice for someone with a wide calf. My feet run narrow and Born is usually too wide for me but these have been fine. Pricier than most shoes I buy but the cost seems well worth it.

The "distressed" boots in suede are perfect for me. First time I've ever been able to wear a pair of boots right out of the box for hours with no problem whatsoever. So happy!!

I loved these boots and really wished they fit better but the toe box is very narrow and I even have a narrow foot! Sad they did not fit better.

I love these boots. I have 3 pair of Born boots/booties. They are true to size, good arch support and I put them on and can wear them all day. I have the grey and in person they are distressed gray.

I love these boots! So comfortable and attractive! They are my first pair of Born boots but they definitely won’t be my last! I happened upon this brand and style quite by accident. That is, I was in a store shopping for winter coats when I noticed a women wearing a pair of Ivy’s in grey suede. It was love at first sight so I complimented her on her boots and she told what they were and where she got them - Zappos of course! So I ordered them online as soon as I got home! They arrived two days later. Home run Born and Zappos!

Love!! Exchanged for 1/2 size smaller than my usual and they fit fab. Good quality leather, smart styling and comfortable from the get go! I plan to wear these for an upcoming walking tour in London during the winter. The thick soles will keep my feet dry and cozy.

beautiful boots but my fat calves didn't fit.

These weren't bad of a boot at all. I guess I'm picky but I didn't really like the style. Just not for me but I can see why people like them. Love Born brand and these lived up to the comfort of there other shoes/boots. The calf area was a little big but it didn't bother me at all. Loved that they are waterproof. I did send these back though because I found another pair of Borns that I liked better.

These boots are very good quality. Like another reviewer said they do something strange at the mid part of the zipper and bend in. It does not bother me enough to send back. They are very comfortable and have great arch support. They will look good with jeans and leggings. Nice height too..less than knee high but higher than biker boots.
