Had to wait a little while for these to come back in stock but it was totally worth the wait. I’m a long time (obsessive) buyer of Vans but I never had a classic black & white hi-top pair. I was a little nervous that I wouldn’t be able to pull off the platform sneaker look but the platform is VERY subtle. I placed them beside a pair of my standard hi-top sneakers for comparison (can you tell which ones are new and which ones already belonged to me??).

I did not buy these from Zappos as they have been sold out for awhile. (Until now, right after I got mine from the Vans site. Get yours from Zappos while you can because they have free and faster shipping!!!!) I still wanted to review them here because I love Zappos and customer reviews always play a big role in my order decisions. I own a bunch of pairs of Vans, including a few different Old Skool, Sk8 Hi, and Authentic. Some of those are the Pro version with the Ultra Cush insole (highly recommend those if you need more arch support and cushion!) I was pleasantly surprised that this Sk8 Hi Platform felt as cushioned as it did despite it having the standard Vans insole. They're pretty comfortable despite the usual lack of arch support of their standard insole and don't feel too much higher than a standard pair of Sk8 Hi and don't feel heavy either. I also appreciate that the top of the shoe fully covers my ankle when normally the Sk8 Hi hits right at my ankle. It helps with the feel of the shoe and the look/proportions.

I LOVE THESE SHOES? i normally wear a 6 in men and 8 in women but the 5.5 fits as if a 6 would, therefore, I recommend going a half size down?

I am a 7.5-8 and an 8 was good enough for me to add insoles for the missing arch support. Super cute. Can’t go wrong - classic but elevated - literally (but not THAT much). Pretty cool!

These hi-top platform vans are so cute! I wear between a 6 and 6.5 and ordered a 6 because that’s all they had left and they fit exactly to my foot. If they had a 6.5 I would go back and order that size just for some added space and comfort. Overall they are comfy considering they are vans and provide no support but I got them for fashion not comfort! I get tons of compliments and I love them!

These shoes are heavier than I expected and I don't wear them all that often for that reason. Cute shoes, just not meant for lots of walking imho.

I have been waiting for these shoes to come back! And as soon as I saw them on Zappos I purchased them . Unfortunately these run too big. and the size that is indicated for a 7.5 foot was wayyyyyy to big for me. It took me awhile to return them and now ALL the small sizes are sold out. complete devastation.

Vans are one of my favorite sneakers! This pair are no different. Only problem was, I wasn’t sent a color that I didn’t order.

I originally bought the size 8, which was way too big--purchased the 7.5, which was perfect and comfy. I usually wear a size 8, so I think they run a bit large. I'm very happy with the second, smaller pair.

The fit was great I’m originally 8 I’m women. I read previous reviews and was informed to go down a size so I have the 7 in women and it fits perfectly great!

I grew up wearing vans a kid in LA so I'm so excited to get another pair 30 yrs later! I wear an 8-8½ in woman. I ordered the size 8Womens and it fits perfect! The platform is subtle but still makes this shoe stand out compared to the regular SK8 version without the platform.

These shoes look surprising large! They are super stiff and .... well they look HUGE. Not for me.

Love stacked sole! Super cute high top.

honestly I bought these because I was wearing them in a dream and they looked sick. My only regret is that the longer I wear them, the dirtier the white shoes will get.

These are nice, comfy sneakers. They do run large: I usually buy a size 8, and that size was huge. The 7.5 still seemed a bit large, but allowing for thick socks, they'll be fine.

Beautiful but too difficult to get even my slender foot in, had to return.

These look cool, feel good, and are well-made.

The fit very well and the material is ver conform able and well made.
