I read the reviews about these running small, or tight toe box. I have an average size 10, not too wide nor narrow, so I ordered a half size up, 10.5, and they fit perfect. Just a good all-around shoe for light hiking or weekend casual outdoor wear.

Felt smaller and narrower than my other oboz even though the oboz website claimed it to be a wider fit.

Really wanted to like the Hyalite but no can do. It is definitely smaller and narrower than my other Oboz, which are my all-time favorite hiking shoes (I have both the Sawtooth and the Bridger in low and mid GTX).

Another review spoke of the crease at the toe knuckles. It did dig into my toe knuckles, too, but after a few miles, they broke in comfortably. As for size, these fit me great as an 8, but Oboz Cirque Low 8s are too big for me. So either these run slightly smaller, or those slightly bigger (although both 8s, and have identical footbeds, but the fit is different).

I've found my Outdoor Footwear company = Oboz! I have the Sawtooth GTX Low and Mid and love the workmanship and support. I was looking for a pair of "Approach Shoes" for hiking to the crag to rock climb; and since I love Oboz, wondered if they had something in this space. The Hyalite Low seemed to fit the bill. Since Size 11 works for me in the Sawtooth and I HATE shoes that are too big, I went with an 11 here. Yes, they are a little more "snug" than my Sawtooths, but I like that for an Approach type shoe. Plus IMO these are the most attractive Approach shoes I have seen, meaning I can also wear them "in town" or travelling. If you want a little "room" yes = go up 1/2 size and you'll be fine. Highly recommend!!!

I have difficult to fit feet (size 14) and these were comfortable with just enough snugness at the heel yet roomy toe box too. No break in required. Been wearing them daily.

The end of the toe box is quite narrow and irritates my feet quite a bit. I can't use these for hiking.

I was really excited for these when I saw they were releasing a more "everyday" shoe. I'm not super happy with the fit, so I'll be returning them. I have a few pairs of their hiking shoes (mid & low versions), but find them to be a bit clunky for normal wear. I really like the style of these, but find them to be a bit narrower than the others. They're not horrible, just a bit tight through the toe box to be considered comfortable. It's odd that they describe them as more of a wider toe box style, since the shoe is the same width all the way from the heel to toe (ie: it should have a wider profile in the toe box). They offer a wide version in some of their shoes, so it would be nice to see Oboz extend that into these as well. I think if they made these in a wide, they'd be great. The sole feels a little stiff for everyday casual wear, but I think they'd be great for a lighter weight trail shoe.

I ordered these to simply walk my dog on wet days as they were advertised as waterproof. However after wearing them for about a month I noticed that I can walk through small puddles but if I even try to walk 100 yards on wet grass my feet are soaked. I don’t know how they get away with calling these waterproof because they’re barely water resistant. Really disappointed and if I didn’t throw the box away I would’ve returned them already.

I have 3 pairs of other boots from Oboz, and was hoping these wold fit the same. Unfortunately, they are cut from a narrower last and were about a half size short and narrower than I would expect from a medium. The toe box was not as roomy, who is a strong selling feature of this brand. All factors considered - uncomfortable. Sadly, the shoe's had to go back.
