I needed a stylish replacement for my old favorite Ahnu hiking boots (which were NOT at all stylish). I didn't think anything could come close to comfort to my Ahnu boots, but these Oboz Junipers are GREAT - right out of the box. I walked in them for 8 hours straight as soon as I rec'd them, and I have very fussy feet. I have a bunion on my right foot, so shoes/boots always fit a little tighter on that foot, so after wearing them awhile, I just used a little boot stretcher spray, and a boot stretcher and it fits even better. I usually wear a size 9 in boots and a 8.5 in shoes, but reading reviews and Zappos recommendation, the 8.5 M fit perfectly. I think the 9 would have been too big. If you have wide feet, the medium would be too tight, IMO. These are so much cuter looking that my other hiking boots. I got the purple trim (my favorite color). Love them.

I just got these and love them! Perfect fit, look great, very well made. The color is just as pictured, my feet don’t slide around and with the height I feel secure (I’m 64 and kinda out of shape - don’t need to be falling down or twisting my ankle). I had planned on returning them because I thought they might be too warm but they seem perfect! Thanks Zappos! Can’t wait to wear them on my trip to Oregon.

I'm very happy with my new Oboz winter hikers! My feet are not easy to fit. I need good arch support and a wide toe box. These are great! True to size for me. Very comfortable, good support. I went on a 2 and 1/2 hour hike in the snow with the temp in the 20's for my first time out (I wore them around the house for several hours for a few days first). My feet were warm, comfortable and happy at the end! I kinda wish they were just about an inch higher on my ankles but the comfort of the 6" hight was great and I can wear gaters if need be.

Needed a paid of snow/hiking boots to keep my feet warm in upcoming trip to Alaska in March. Took these boots out of the box and wore them all day. My feet were warm and comfortable. These may become my daily wear shoes. Awesome shoes, love the color and style.

These are fantastic! I'm a "true" 9, and these fit perfectly. Arch support is excellent, room for my toes (which I like) but comfortably snug everywhere else. Strong grip, good ankle support. Very good quality overall. Extremely pleased. My first pair of Oboz, but definitely not my last.

I bought these insulated boots for Colorado in December.
I ordered a half size up to accommodate thick wool socks. There is plenty of room for my toebox and end of the day swelling. I have painful hips and low back. This shoe rocks with each stride, propelling motion. I chose the 6” over 8” because I wanted lightweight. Oboz fit my wide, short feet perfectly!

Many thanks you to all you customers who wrote rave reviews about these gems. I needed new everyday/casual boots but am currently recovering from a foot/ankle injury plus I have finicky feet in general, always needing more stability and arch support than the average person. So, my expectations were not high that these guys would work for me, yet in fact, they are perfect in everyway - not too rigid, supportive, soft and cushiony yet stable, excellent arch support, no rubbing on heel, no breaking in period necessary, etc. I normally buy half-size larger in a boot or athletic shoe, yet my (smaller) actual shoe size actually was the better fit - even allowing room for a mid-weight Thorlo hiking sock.

I love love love these boots. The arch support is awesome. I have a high arch and I’m on my feet 10 plus hours per day. These are so incredibly supportive and make my feet so happy. I had never even heard of the brand before I got these. They are the best.

Of the about a dozen different boots I've tried on so far this would be the best one if it came in a wide to accommodate my orthotics insoles.

Deep into winter with no waterproof boots and freezing toes. I searched tirelessly for a couple hours at Zappos and finally eliminated all candidates save this one. I'd never heard of this brand before. The boots arrived the next day (incredible) and I tried them on. I forgot they were new and walked outside. These are waterproof (continuous gusset across the arch) and warm. They wear like a normal boot, don't make my feet look too big. The inner sole is removable but my orthotics are too large to take their place. So I just use what's there. My toes have wiggle room. Not too tight across the bunions. I have a high arch, and narrow heel. I did re-lace these so that the laces do not put pressure on the top of my arch. The top two hooks for the laces are designed to not slip off and I have not needed to double tie the laces.

I usually wear a size 8, but sized up to a 9 to leave room for thick wool socks. These are comfortable hiking boots, and they have kept my feet warm and dry in chilly temps. I’ve hiked in them in late fall months, and I recently visited Iceland. These were perfect for city walking tours in the rain and for walking around the countryside where there was some snow and ice. I avoided most icy spots since I didn’t have cramp-ons with me, but the tread handled well everywhere else. Great investment.

Back in 2016 I broke the sesmoid bones in my left foot which often swells making laced shoes near impossible for me to wear. These are one of the few pairs of laced shoes I can wear without pain. The toe box is perfect for me. I love the color and have already purchased another pair of Oboz.

The fit was fine and the boots were very comfortable. But they were too much boot for my needs. I'm not a hiker and only wanted them for short walks with the dog or across a parking lot or shopping. They went back.

Comfortable right out of the box, haven't done any serious hikes with them but am very hopeful. I plan to use these with my snowshoes this winter.

Good EXCEPT for a lumpy SEAM that goes exactly over my ankle bone! It is the interior seam WHERE the cuff Lining is attached to the LOWER boot lining!!
The size I ordered was the SAME size I wear in the Oboz Bridger Hiking Boot. The Juniper is a little more generous re: Width (in the Bridger Hiking boot I took a WIDE.)
The felt covered Insole is very wrinkled on top. I actually found it better to USE the Factory Insole from my Oboz Bridger HIKING BOOT!
I had to return these.
Despite using a Gel Sleeve (Silipos) I could still feel the Lumpy Seam rubbing against my "bony" ankle.
I thought about having a Shoe Maker punch that area out....but it is NOT the Nubuck that is the problem but the fabric seam.
I will try the HIGHER version and hope that the seam (where the Upper Cuff is sewn to Lower lining) is in a DIFFERENT location.
Just a poor design for an otherwise GOOD boot!!

I really loved how these shoes looked, and the foot fit was great. However, the top hit my shin bone no matter how I adjusted it. I was very disappointed that they didn't work, but they are heading back to Zappos.

Comfortable out of the box. A bit too tight in the toe box if wearing boot socks. More importantly, does not keep the toes warm. I tried at least four variations of socks on separate hiking trips this winter (7°F - 35°F) and after 1 to 2 hours of hiking, my toes were frozen every time. On the plus side, my feet were not wet, but I couldn’t feel my toes. Would only recommend for short trips in the city, not for actual hiking in winter.

Fit is bad. Too long and way too narrow. They hurt my feet and I will return. I'm giving up with online ordering.... I ordered my actual size (as zappos recommended). They are not made for my feet at all.
