This shoe markets itself as the perfect winter shoe. It is extremely comfortable. Unfortunately, though, the sole is not designed for icy conditions. I spent a lot of money on these boots and they are very warm - I live for now in an extremely cold climate - so I continue to wear them. But I have fallen many times with these boots on when the ice is slick. What's the point of a winter boot that is no good on ice?

I bought this for our trip to Saariselka in Lapland, Finland ~2 years ago to hunt for the Aurora Borealis. We were ~160 miles above the Arctic Circle in late November. These boots kept my legs/feet/toes very warm and comfortable in the middle of the night as we were walking around the resort lugging my camera and tripod for a ~couple of hours! In addition, I walked in them for hours daily in St. Petersburg, Russia and my were not sore at all! I highly recommend them!

Love the look of this boot. Considering buying red laces for around the winter holidays. Super warm and very easy to put on and take off. Pricey, but well worth it. Normally I wear an 8, but purchased the 8.5 as I wear the boot with thick socks. Either with or without socks, I feel the half size up is adequate.

I bought these boots 9 years ago and walked 5-6 miles daily in them for 9 years. I never slipped and they just got a hole in them this year. I was about to re-purchase and I noticed that the new boots do not have a vibram sole. I am so disappointed that the perfect winter boot has been ruined. The vibram sole kept me from slipping walking over snow and ice. I can see from the picture that this will not cut it. I am so disappointed. Please bring back the vibram sole.

I was surprised to see that this boot got a one-star rating-I LOVE these boots. Granted, I had to size up, but in the 5 years that I've owned these boots, I've not had cold feet at all. I used them last year in 72" snow and bitter cold and like I said, my feet, at least, were toasty warm.
The ONLY drawback for me is that these boots have suede uppers. I wear them to work on our ranch and the moisture and hay tends to cling to them making me "afraid" to wear them.
Wish this type of boot came in a "light" version (similar to the Elsa boot)- same shaft height, same "4-wheel" tread but a little less lining.

Reading the reviews I figured the boots would be well made and stylish. Wish someone had mentioned the lack of arch support. The toe box is too low to allow an insole to be added to the flat foot bed. They do look great. If you don’t need arch support....

I bought these boots about 10 years ago and wore them all winter long, from shopping to playing in the snow. I like that they cover my calves because I can step in deeper snow without having to worry about getting my socks wet. So this year I decided to treat myself to a new pair. I usually wear 7 or 7.5, but I bought a size 8. However, I also tried the shorter boots and the sizing didn't feel the same. I prefer these ones because I feel like the boot stays on my feet better.

Fabulous style and I love that they are waterproof and I didn’t have to spray protectant on them. They have good traction on the bottom as well. These will be a favorite for years to come!

If you have a long winter season with snow/rain, I highly recommend investing in these boots. Here's my breakdown, and for the record, I live in Anchorage, AK, and I regularly visit Minnesota in the winter.
Pros:
-stylish
-soft inside (I never wear them with socks :P )
-fairly easy to get off/on, tho not slip-on
-work well in icy conditions, altho nothing is truly slip-proof on ice-very comfortable to walk long distances in
-waterproof in fairly deep snow (6+ inches)
-warm, my feet have never been cold in them, although I haven't been outside for hours in them (I would probably wear wool socks if I planned on being outside for a long while)
-comfortable to walk around in (I have spent a few 10K+ steps days in these and my feet weren't sore)
-accurate sizing-I got a size 8, and they fit well. Plenty roomy for good socks
Cons:
-too expensive to justify buying both colors right out of the gate
-not slip-on (which is honestly fine)
-probably too expensive for a mild winter with 1-2 snows or in dryer winter conditions
10/10

Love love love it! In the beginning I had my thoughts on it. Since I have a wide foot, but when I put it on after a couple of hrs I feel in love! Took it to the snow and my foot was still nice and warm. Will recommend this for sure

These boots have helped surviving my first Midwest winter a ton! They take a few wears to break into (I kept having slight foot cramps after the first couple wears walking around the city) but after they're broken in they feel so much better! I'm very happy I invested in these.

I bought two different sizes. The size 8 technically should have fit, there was enough room in the toe box. However, the boot was so tight I couldn’t even wiggle my toes, and I have very narrow feet. It felt like circulation was being cut off at the top of my foot. If I’d gone up a size, maybe it’d fit the width of my foot, but would have been too long. In addition, the boot didn’t want to lace around my calf, with gaps between the tongue and the shaft. I’ve worn UGGs before, and still have a pair of classic falls from 2016. This boot would have been a bad introduction to the company. This boot is $325. It should feel like angels are caressing my foot. Instead I’m buying another brand for significantly less money.

Not only are these boots super adorable, but they're amazingly comfortable, waterproof, and sturdy - definitely the best winter boots i've ever owned!! I feel like I could trek through Antarctica in these
I do recommend going one size up if you plan on wearing thick socks with them though (true for pretty much all Uggs because of the thick fur lining)

As a longtime Ugg enthusiast and boot collector, I can honestly say these are the most comfortable boots I've ever worn. They keep my feet toasty warm without getting too hot. They look great with leggings and the lacing would accommodate a variety of calf and ankle dimensions. Great design and support for someone used to having frequent foot pain. Would absolutely buy them again.

I live these boots , I always use the true fit size guide , it stated I should buy a 8.5 usually I wear an 8 . The boot is a little big with traditional socks but with warm socks fits perfectly . I would order again but in a 1/2 size smaller . These are super stylish and warm perfect for cold days when your outside for long periods of time !!

I used this boot when it snows really bad or when it is cold outside and when I have them on I don't feel anything but warmth on my feet. The shoe itself is bulky but it doesn't even take away from the boot. The chestnut factor of it makes it easy to pair with any type of clothing because that color is a universal color. I've have been going back and fourth for years to get this boot due to the price but I finally decided to get it and it is worth every penny spent. Overall every ugg I've ever bought I've been happy with and I just have a crazy obsession with ugg and all the colors they come out with.

My absolute go to winter boot! It's comfortable and super warm. I've worn them in all sorts of weather, down to -10 degrees and my feet stayed warm. I had a little issue with plantar fasciitis and this was the only warm shoes my feet could walk in and not hurt, and I love the shearling on the inside. I can't imagine anyone not loving this shoe, and the below negative review shouldn't count toward the awesomeness of this shoe.
Just FYI, I lace them somewhat loosely so I don't have to lace them and tie them up every time I put them on.
I'd also recommend:

I had my Adirondack I's for seven years before I wore them out. I was hesitant on purchasing these, as I loved the old style so much. When I got these boots, my mind was instantly changed. They are durable, comfortable, worth the investment, and much cuter in person. I go up a half size just for extra room and socks through the winter months.

The only real sherpa in this boot is the sole, the rest is faux shearling. Disappointed in that. The leather seemed very cheap to me, and overall I did not think they were worth the money. I returned these.

The boot is rated to -32 F. It was 28 above and my feet were cold. I love in The Dakota's and cold feet are Not an option not a luxury that one would enjoy.
