I selected this boot for warmth and because it is waterproof, and the soles are very durable. I thought this boot would probably survive wet, rainy conditions. I have been wearing running shoes to walk in the rain and my feet get wet and cold. I wear a women's size 9 shoe, in a B, or medium width (or Euro size 40). This boot, in size 9, felt true to size in length (plenty of length for my longest toes), but it was a bit too narrow across the ball of my foot and it was difficult to wiggle my toes when wearing socks -- my toes felt squeezed by the width of the boot. My longest foot is 10 inches long and 4 inches wide, and my heel is about 2 3/4 inches wide where it hits the ground. The front of this boot doesn't have much flex, and the leather on the front of the boot might have loosened up over time, but no matter how tight I pulled the laces, the heels slipped. Since these are stiff, slightly heavy boots, I think my heels would have gotten blisters before the boots were broken in. The boot could be worn with a thinner sock, but I tried it on with a regular wool sock with a slightly padded sole and it was too thick for this boot. A thinner sock would have meant even more slipping in the heel area. I think a larger size in this boot, to accommodate thicker socks, would have been too long for my foot, and the boot is only available in a medium width. The faux lambswool lining is throughout the boot, but not all the way to the front of the toes -- it ends at about the ball of the foot, where the foot bends at the toes, and at that point the boot seems to be lined with some sort of fabric. I chose to return this boot. I would prefer a lighter weight weatherproof boot with leather that is softer, a sole that is more flexible, and that doesn't need time to break in.

LOVED this boot! After taking one too many falls wearing my UGGS, my hubby wanted me to get something with better grip in winter. These are perfect! Excellent quality, stylish, plus...no more falls! Wore them all day first time out of the box, no break in needed!

Great winter boot! I didn’t think I was cool enough to pull off timbs, but the fold down on these made them more approachable. I was surprised by the comfort and room in the toe box. I even bought a pair in all black I liked them so much. I can’t wait to wear them on a snowy day.

Just got today and I’m totally in love!! They feel amazing like I could walk for days! Also very versatile in how you can wear the top up or down. I put a lot of thought in to this purchase. I wanted something waterproof (not rubber type), warm, comfortable out of the box, great traction, can be dressed up or down, a zipper on the side and would last for a long time. That’s a tall order! It was finally between Dr Martens or these. I chose the Timberlands bc I wanted something comfy without having to break them in. Numerous reviews on Dr Martens say they’re stiff but amazing once you break them in...ain’t nobody got time for that!:) I gave up the zipper with these but totally worth it! Very happy with my choice!

Love these boots. I have ordered several different styles from Timberland over the years but always found them to be too bulky. These seem to have the more sleek style I like and are perfect. Ordered them in two colors. They are nice and warm and perfect wearing with skinny Jeans or under pants when rolled up. Definitely my favorite boots.

Of the 4 Timberlands styles I've tried on, this boot feels the most comfortable right out of the box. No break in required. Timberlands may need some break in time This boot was sturdy but nice and comfortable, The tongues were stitched high up so water won't get in unless it goes over the top of the stitching. They have a nice but not too thick fleece lining that goes all the way to the toe and around the sides. It has a short nap which is good so it won't pull off like the fluffy stuff. The only part of the inside that is not fleece lined is the footbed. That part has a nice comfortable, removable, cushioned insert. This particular boot has a wider toe area than the Courmayeur Valley style and seemed to me to run a half size larger I'm disappointed that the "Jane Teddy Fleece" color described as 'light brown'" was not light brown. It's more drab Taupe color overall. I wouldn't hesitate to wear these in some very wet, slushy or cold conditions. Looks great with skinny jeans. They look good with the last three eyelets unlaced, with the laces wrapped around the ankle once and tied in front in a loose, square knot. Happy with purchase so far. Hope they don't stretch too much.

LOVE... I mean Love these boots. Needed something that was stylish but also INCREDIBLY functional and comfortable. I live in NYC and walk miles each day plus I purchased these for some of the winter travel I do in Europe/Israel. I decided to "break them in" before my next trip and it was completely UNNECESSARY! They are comfortable, sturdy and warm. I will say they are NOT slip proof - but do pretty well in snow! and I love that they are water proof and can't wait to wear them again!

Awesome boots. Fit is perfect. I have slender feet with a high arch. I usually wear a 9 and go down a size with boots, high heels and sandals. The 8.5 fit just right. The toe box has a nice contour without being too roomy. There is no heel slippage and requires no break-in period as with Dr Martins. Very attractive folded over or tied to the top. Looks great with leggings and jeans tucked in or cuffed. Love these boots. Will buy another in red when available.

I spent 6 hours walking and on my feet the first time I wore them. They were comfortable and cute. Would definitely buy again!

I ordered a half size larger and should have went with original size even with thick socks. Attractive style and much lighter weight than expected based on style of boot. Harder to lace than anticipated.

I loved that my boots arrived the very next day!!! I was super excited!! When I first put them on they were tight on outside of foot and across the box, but after having on around the house for an hour they loosened up. I don't think I will be able to double up on socks for winter, but I love them so I'll keep them.

Woman's Jayne's timberland boot is so very warm of which it's gives you excellent arch support for flare flat feet in wearing to work on a 7 hrs shift especially on a concrete floor and best in keeping your feets warm and dry in the snow and especially the rain

I’ve had these boots for 4 years and I cleaned them up today and they still look pretty good. I use them constantly to tromp around outside with my dogs. Great workmanship to endure like this!!

My wife loves these, wears them all during the fall and winter. She says they are comfortable even without socks.
