I have owned several pairs of the women's siren sneakers and hiking boots from Merrell. Some were my favorite shoes. This pair is awfully uncomfortable. The bottom of the shoe is very hard and not even. The insoles are removable and labeled with 9.5. i believe that is the thickness. The pattern on the exterior is very plastic like and causes some restriction on the movement of the toes. Over all not a comfortable shoe. maybe if you remove the insoles and replace them with something better, but for the price you shouldn't have to.

I purchased these shoes a few years ago and they are still brand new in the box. No support, no superior comfort that was advertised! I waited too long and could not return them.

There isn't enough support in these shoes. I felt like I was walking bear foot. After wearing them all day my back was hurting.

These shoes were very painful. They scraped the back of my foot, broke the skin, and left a scab. I only wore them once.

I have bought Merrell shoes in the past and been quite happy with them. I wear them on my daily walks around my neighbourhood and prefer a sturdy, high quality shoe that can grip well during the icy winter months. Past Merrell shoes I have bought have served me well for months. This pair feels fine when they are on my feet, but ever since buying them about 2 months ago, my feet have been so sore! They get sore after walking just a short distance and stay achy even when I am sitting down. I am so disappointed that I paid so much for these shoes and they are causing this foot pain.

Bought these 6 months ago and they've reached the end of the line; the mesh on the heel degraded and gave me a blister (see the blood on the heel? yes, I was wearing socks), and the laces are worn out. While very comfortable, I expect more than 6 months from my Merrell shoes.

I have bought two pairs of this very same shoe a year. One pair for Spring/Summer and one for Fall/Winter. The previous shoes of this model have lasted six months and been great. I have always loved that they are made specifically for a woman's foot. Well, the pair I purchased late August and received 9/01/20, I am so disappointed in. They don't even look exactly as the previous and they actually started to wear after six weeks. They look like they are six months old not six week! Either, I just received a fluke in production of this shoe....or your quality has really gone to pot.

I have many Merrell Shoes. I bought these with the expectations they would be a great hiking shoe. What a disappointment. These are the worst Merrell shoes I have ever owned. My feet blistered after several wears. I know have to find a different hiking shoe for our upcoming trip. Now I'm gun shy in spending this type of money on another pair of dud shoes.

I wore them just once inside the hospital, had to change my shoes mid shift, no support and very uncomfy. I think I bought the wrong ones. My first pair was Siren Edge Q2, thought this pair would be comparable. But it def not

This is my 3rd Merrell hiking shoes that I bought in the past. I believe the left shoe is defective. There is an uncomfortable hump on the left shoe located under the ball of my foot. The right shoe fits perfectly. Will attempt to exchange it if possible. I love Merrell hiking shoes; wore it while hiking on vacations to Nepal, Israel, and Japan. Disappointed.

This shoe replaced a hiker that I loved and had gone through 3 pairs, so I assumed it's replacement would be just as comfortable. It's not. It's cheaper made and looking , the old shoe had seams that were sewn not glued on this one just looks and feels cheap. I don't find that it has the support of old shoe either.

I had a pair of these that were great! I recently purchased a 2nd pair, and I am highly disappointed with the quality. They've been cheapened, and I won't be purchasing again. So sad...

I have 6 pairs of Merrell hikers. I live part of the year in the mountains. I purchased the Siren because it was perfect for daily use and I could leave them in the mountain home all the time. I found the shoddy workmanship was so beneath Merrell. Instead of hard rubber top, side and front panels. It is some sort of like a contact paper, lol. Kinda like a paste on product, or heat sealed. It started to buckle in one week. The bottom, in my driveway, I can feel every small rock. I wrote to Merrell and never got a response. Sometimes, you have to evaluate your time, versus, wrapping up the product and sending it back. So sorry that they have fallen to the masses of make a cheaper product and make more money.....

I have plantar fasciitis and have only been able to wear the Merrell Siren Edge Hiker. In fact, I have owned 8 pairs and recommend them to everyone I know. But wearing the same style shoe day after day for a few years now, gets boring, so I thought I try the Siren Edge Q2. I wore them for 1/2 the day and couldn't believe how different they fit. They offer little to no support on the foot & ankle and it's immediately noticeable. The inner sole feels nonexistent. They feel much looser than the Siren Edge. After a short 1 mile walk, I was literally in pain and unable to continue. Very disappointing, as I was anxious to receive and expected to buy a 2nd pair. But, instead I will donate this pair and purchase the Siren Edge for the 9th time.

Sorry to have to return these shoes. The tongue of the shoe rubbed against my ankle bone which made it too uncomfortable to wear.

One star for a cheap looking, plastic shoe! I had a pair of Sirens several years ago. I was looking for a pair of supportive walking shoes so I thought I would give these a try. One look out of the box and almost didn't even try them on, they are that ugly. The little striped things you see on the side are not just synthetic, they don't even pretend to look like fake leather. They look like a super thin piece of plastic overly. The mesh (I got the Frost color) also has a sheen that also makes it look plasticky. The previous Sirens I had were mesh and suede (or at least suede looking). They look like a cheap, plastic rental bowling shoe. They are comfortable and supportive, though.
I'd also recommend:
Keen, Dansko, Asolo

I like the look and the feel of the shoe (light weight), but they run small.
