For wide toe box barefoot shoes, I think these are really cute and I feel great wearing them. They are very comfortable and serve my purpose of not hurting my bunions and neuropathy and they look great!

This is a very cute barefoot style shoe. Merrell tend to run a bit small so I got the 7 rather than 6.5. Very flexible sole, easy to pull on and off. This type of shoe is great to help strengthen the feet by forcing a more natural gait. I think they look great with yoga pants and a long sweater.

They look great! But the sizing is way off. I wear a 10 or 41 in all shoes and intended to wear these with socks, so I ordered a 10.5 based on others' reviews here. The 10.5 was too big, even with socks. I then tried a 10, and my toe hit the end of the shoe, even just sitting or standing, not even walking. Additionally, I can feel the toe cap with every step. If they didn't have the toe cap, I'm guessing a 10 would have worked out. Too bad, because I love the snug fit. I'll probably wind up with another pair of Vivobarefoot shoes instead.

Long time barefooter/minimalist shoe and ex-stomper here: These are a snug leather “glove” style fit so they will stretch for a custom fit and should tolerate a thin sock. Excellent thin sole for ground feel. To the uninitiated- there is NO ARCH SUPPORT and NO CUSHIONING and there ISN’T supposed to be!!! Your legs have built in shock support called “muscles” that work with ground feel. If you can’t pad around like a cat or know what I mean by that then you should do research on transitioning to minimalist footwear to reduce odds of injuring yourself. Nice shoes - but too snug, as I suspected, for my extra wide/high toe-spread-arch-instep feet if I want to wear socks. No problem though since I bought the coordinating male shoe to get wide width which is my usual trick and am returning these.

InitiallyI went up a half size per somereviews but would have had to wear my thickest winter socks so I returned them for my usual size. Very good quality minimalist running shoe. Runs bigger than Glove 3 non leather version which I also tried.

These are my favorite barefoot shoes! They really do fit "like a glove." I don't think they are the most stylish shoe, but it is the shoe that I can walk the most miles in comfortably.

I enjoyed these while wearing them in the house to break in a little. The leather is not as flexible as the other Merrell Gloves I wear however, I was expecting a slightly different fit. Perfect for dry fall days in the south. I would not wear them in the rain. While they didn't stain when they got a little wet, they are NOT waterproof. I wear them barefoot. *Spoiler alert. I've only had them outside about 3-5 times since the weather in SC has finally cooled enough to wear them. Unfortunately, the lace loop on the right shoe came unsewn/detached. I am returning them if possible as I am now questioning the durability of the other loops. I have been a happy Zappos and Merrell customer for years. Hoping they'll honor my return request. Might try a different Merrell design to replace them. It is tricky since my feet are loyal to the barefoot fit.

This was my 12th pair of Merrill Vapor GLove shoes - the first in leather. They are too warm (causing hot feet) and obviously the leather is not nearly as flexible as the fabric ones, as I ended up with a blister on the top of my 2nd left toe - right where there is a natural bend, within 2 hours. I do think the leather will stay attached to the sole better than the fabric ones however.

This shoe felt true to size and actually had a better shape in the toe box than the last pair of merrell gloves I bought years ago. Most of my toes are long and the older design seemed to be only for people whos toes shortened dramatically from big to small. The leather cleans up very well. I took these out for a week of hiking around red dirt and ocean beaches and salt water. I just brushed them off and they look good as new. I am hoping they hold up well. The leather makes these very versatile to wear every day without them looking like a trail/athletic shoe. I hope they release this style in more colors because they are very comfy and look nice while providing excellent traction.

I LOVE these shoes! I'm transitioning to using only "barefoot" (flat sole, no heel) shoes. These are my first. I've worn them to work (floor nurse) for two days now and they are flipping wonderful. I can't believe how free I feel, grounded, like a kid on a playground. If you want to understand the beauty of "barefoot shoes", read Katy Bowman's Simple Steps to Foot Pain Relief. There can be a transition to barefoot shoes, as you are actually using all the muscles in the foot. There can be soreness, but it passes. I ordered a second pair!

These are great barefoot shoes. If you are a fan of vapor glove, then these are for you. I would like more colors and maybe some leather options. I bought the size that I wear in the regular vapor glove which is 1/2 size larger than other shoes. They fit the same.

I bought these for everyday wear to replace a pair of heavily cushioned (bulky) walking shoes. I was hoping for "good enough," and I got "Terrific!" The Merrels are light weight, with wonderfully flexible soles and a roomy toe. The lightly padded insole wouldn't work for someone who's on their feet all day, but I can walk over rough & rocky terrain quite comfortably for a couple of hours. They were comfortable right out of the box. The color is more gray-brown than charcoal, so it's perfectly neutral. I really, really like my new shoes! Thank you Merrell, and thank you Zappos!

A W E S O M E. these are perfection. im usually 7.5 and thats what i got with ample toe box room to wiggle toes (thumbs width)

I typically wear a women's 8W in New Balance Minimus. They don't have my size available in the all black anymore so I went searching for an alternative. After reading reviews I decided to order an 8 and an 8.5 hoping that the leather will stretch to accommodate my wider foot. My toe hits the end on both of them but the width of 8.5 is a little better. I just ordered a size 9 too and hope that will work. I'm crossing my fingers because I love the feel and look.

As a longtime fan of barefoot running and minimalist shoes who is very hard on her equipment, I could not be happier with these! Durable, Comfortable, Cute! Several months in of hard work at the gym and on the trail and they still look fantastic!

I am in love with these shoes. I have a terrible time finding shoes. I have long toes, so end up needing a wide toe box. I'm also very picky about having some arch support. When I don't have it, I can definitely tell in the end of the day through all kinds of aches. With these shoes, I feel comfy all day, no aches by the end. I never had a period of breaking in with these - they just fit! Even though the sole is very thin (barefoot!) they are structured in a way to make your foot feel supported. So, I honestly just wear these all day as I teach. Love love love buying in more colors.

Initially I didn't want shoes with ties but I like this style, and I'm glad I bought them. Very comfortable and perfect support despite the minimalist design, which I prefer anyway. My feet never get tired wearing them and with the rubber sole support, it's the perfect spring transition shoe.

I absolutely love these shoes. I get lots of compliments on this style. This is my 2nd pair. I've been wearing barefoot style shoes for several years now. They have saved my knees (resolved patellar tendonitis by going "barefoot").

I really like these! I normally wear a 10.5, but these felt a half size too small. I have another pair of 10.5 minimalist Merrell shoes that fit just fine, so I think it might be specific to this design. However, the toe box is wide, so I can still run in them. I'll be ordering another pair size 11! Also, I've gotten them wet and muddy plenty of times. It doesn't seem to damage the leather.

Loved the look of the shoes, but the dye was rubbing off on my skin and irritating me so I had to return them. I normally wear 10.5 in gym shoes, and a 10 in heels, flats, or sandals so ordered a 10.5 and a 10. The 10.5 was definitely too big and the 10 felt okay. I could have maybe even used a 9.5. But if you aren't sure which size to get, I would recommend going with the smaller size.

I love the look of these shoes. I almost always wear a 7, but with these I needed to go up to a 7.5. Even that feels a little tight in the toes, but not too bad (and I suspect an 8 would be too large in every dimension.) They feel like the kind of shoes you'd wear in a dance studio where street shoes aren't allowed.

I really wanted to love these shoes, but had to return them. The tongue comes up so high on the foot that it rubs. A half inch lower and it would be perfect. Being leather, I probably could have trimmed it off, but at this price I was hesitant to try it. They are also darker than they appear in the photos.

I really like the looks of this shoe, but the comfort is less than a 5. Know that you are getting a "barefoot" style of shoe with no support and no cushioning. I'd be reluctant to wear these shoes for a long day on my feet. They are comfortable for short periods of casual wear, but are not a replacement for athletic trainers.
