Pros: Lightweight, warm, luxurious faux fur around boot top. Cons: fit is very constrained vertically, in that my big toe bumped against the top of the toe box, and someone with a high arch would be uncomfortable right where the laces stop. I normally wear a 10 or 10 and a half narrow, so I sized up to an 11 but even though I have flat feet, the fit was tight across the arch.

Better than I had hoped, this boot is extremely comfortable, much like wearing lace up moccasins. Great flexibility throughout the entire foot. Not yet tested in extreme cold snow conditions but my feet remain warm in 15 degree F. I was surprised to find that they breath well as my feet do not sweat at all after wearing them indoor outdoor for several hours. No need to take them off for short periods indoors if they are clean and dry.
These are women’s boots. I am male. I could not find this type of boot in men’s boots. Sorrel type boots that I have worn for years are clumsy for me. I can easily run in these boots, and drive a car with normal feeling contact with foot peddles. I have a friend who rides her bike in winter with these boots.
Also what I love about these boots is that they are ‘vegan’, meaning that they have no leather, nor real animal fur. I searched a long time for a boot to fit these parameters, i. e. Mocassin-like, warm in winter, high top, and no leather, no fur. The only draw back, some men may not like the faux fur look at the top. Perhaps too feminine. I cover the top with pants so it looke like a regular non leather boot. Also, they come in only one width. Those with wide feet may not find a size to fit properly. I wear size 9 in men’s shoes. A size 11 in this boot works well for me. Thank you Columbia for this vegan boot. I hope they or other companies start making more vegan boots and this practical boot for men. Why vegan? It’s good for the planet and respectful to four legged creatures.

I purchased these and the Heavenly Omni-Heat. I liked these better. They felt more true to size and they come up a couple inches higher on your leg which I need for the deep snow. They feel very comfortable - I was going to go up a half size after reading other reviews but I went with my size (9) and I'm glad I did. At first I thought they might be tight but after wearing them a bit, they were perfect. They are also lightweight which I like because it makes driving much easier and they don't look bulky, they're really cute.

I ordered two different styles of Columbia boots, both fit about the same.
I wear 9 is almost everything with few exceptions where I have needed to size down to an 8.5 in certain brands. But these were both at least a full size too small. I think a 10 would be perfect. I also have narrow feet and these fit well in width, I don't think they would work for someone with wider feet.

I like these boots but I feel the same way others have felt - this boot is too tight and narrow. I wish they had them in wide. I'm a 7 medium and am hoping that if I order a 7 1/2 medium, the toe box will fit much looser.

I ordered the Heavenly Heat, Heavenly Shorty, and Minx Mid, all very similar Columbia Boots. I really wanted them to work. They are super comfy - if you want a $100 pair of house slippers. First off, they're VERY narrow. I usually wear a 9, or 9.5 when available. I ordered up in size based on reviews and to make sure my custom insoles would have room. I tried 10 and 10.5. The tens would have been the right size in these but they were so narrow, I couldn't put them on. But while 10.5 fit my feet, they were too long. They have no arch support, which I was fine with because I was going to replace the insole, but they also have just no structure. They're marked as waterproof, but the tongue is only gusseted up to the ankle- so after that water is going to get in if you step in a slushy puddle. The final deal-breaker is that instead of speed-hooks to lace they have these tiny, fussy little loops of fabric you have to thread the laces through. If you ever have to go back out in the snow before they've fully dried from last time, it will be impossible any annoying to try to put on.
There's a nifty style-detail on the Minx, where the laces go around the back of the boot, through a grommet and back to the front. Admire it when you take them out of the box, because after you pull the laces through to loosen the boots, they're never going back through there.
All the Columbia boots I ordered are going back, sadly.

I had these boots for barely 2 years and today both feet got wet. I examined one of the boots, and there is a hole on the side! The other one does not seem to have holes, but there is moisture inside too. Do not buy it!

SOOOOOOOO NOT 'WATERPROOF' I already wrote a review on these, and am happy with them, for the most part. I am now writing this update, in regards to the function of the claim that they are waterproof. They actually have waterproof written on the side of them. Funny, because we just had a big storm on the nor.cal coast& during the calm of it, I took my dog for a walk on the headlands. I avoided all the puddles, just walked thru the grassy parts of the trail& THESE SHOES ARE NOTTT WATERPROOF. In NO way are they waterproof. I don't even think they are water resistant, since I've never even stepped into a puddle& have soaking wet socks. I should of just got bogs, they're more comfortable, too. Waterproof was all I really needed in these shoes& they are NOT.

I'm so happy to have found these boots (and hacked them to make them even more perfect for me).
As someone who's been wearing zero-drop and barefoot style shoes for the past several years, I've come to prefer the feeling (I usually wear Softstars and Merrell trail gloves). But it's hard to find flexible-soled, spacious, zero-drop boots that are also seriously warm and waterproof and reasonably affordable. (I've tried on the winter boots from Xero, which I found very stiff, and the ones from VivoBarefoot, which didn't feel like they were actually going to be warm.)
I was hopeful that these would fit the bill or come close, but when I first tried them on, despite ordering up a half size, they felt somewhat tight on the toes, and definitely had nearly an inch of heel lift. BUT (here's the hack, just in case any of you out there are also seeking a barefoot-ish option), I took out the insole, and found that it's the *only* source of heel lift in this shoe. Without the insole, you've got a basically zero-drop but slightly cushioned, reflective omni-heat lining, and a lot more space for your toes to wiggle.
I've been wearing them with thick Smartwool socks (so I appreciate the half size up from my usual), and have now worn them on long hikes in wet, muddy weather, in icy snow, and below freezing -- and I'm delighted to say that my feet are cozy, dry, comfortable, and have a great, sturdy grip even on slippery and uneven ground.
I love how warm and flexible these boots are. I even ordered a pair of the kids version for my daughter, and she prefers them without the insoles also. They feel like slippers with serious grip. I'm so happy I found these. I seriously feel happier every time I put them on.
I'd also recommend:

These boots are super cute and stylish, comfortable not bulky at all, and in snow they keep you completely warm and dry no question. Great purchase! Also, at first they might seem a little small but they will shape to your feet.

I normally wear a size 8, I ordered 8.5 thinking I'd wear thick socks with them. No. The 8.5 fit perfect with regular socks. I've worn them while snow blowing in sub-zero weather and they did keep my feet warm for about an hour. After that it was tolerable but not "warm", not freezing the toes off cold, but not warm either. The lacing is nice in that you can tighten/loosen as desired and you can wrap the lace around the calf part, for added snug-ability. They are lightweight and don't interfere when driving. I like the faux fur, although I don't think there is any purpose to it other than to look cute. The insole is cushy with a nice arch support. They have everything I was looking for in a boot 1) sub-zero cold rating 2) waterproof 3) height. The fact that they are cute and that Zappos has free shipping is an added bonus.

These boots are cute and comfortable. The footbed is super squishy and flexible. My feet stayed nice and warm during a test run in our backyard covered with snow. I also liked the tall height to keep snow from coming in the top of the boot. Unfortunately, the soles gave little traction in a patch of ice covered with snow. My husband also through they looked like space boots.

I've worn these boots for several Chicago winters and can say with complete certainty that they are the best pair I've ever had and will only wear from now on. They are warm even when standing in snow up to your shins, never untie, and keep your feet dry and comfortable.

I adore the style of these boots, this is my 3rd pair because I "needed" a third color. I also love that they have really good grip and traction on the bottom. These are awesome for snow, rain, or muddy weather. Note that they really do run small; I usually wear a 7.5 or 8 for shoes and my 8's of these boots are almost too snug. For this order I got an 8.5 which fits perfectly. So definitely consider sizing up a half or even a full size. Also I have larger calves and these accommodate really well; it would also be easy to tighten the laces if you have small calves.

These are not winter boots. They are cute and can take you to about freezing but after that, your toes wills freeze. I expected more from them as they are Columbia’s but I am so disappointed. Look for something else if you think you’ll ever have to walk in snow or on cold days in boots.

I am so glad I bought these boots! They are the most comfortable and warm winter boots I have ever had! I will definitely be ordering them again. I am ordering some for my kids now as well. I will say that you should order a full size up. I normally wear a 9.5 in almost all shoes, but after reading some of the other reviews I ordered a 10.5. This ended up being perfect I can wear them with regular socks or my thick wool socks. LOVE these boots!!

I use these with my snowshoes, wouldn’t recommend as a daily walker tho since the sole is pretty soft & flexible.

Comfortable and warm and the fur detail is super cute without being over the top. It does run narrow so not ideal for wide feet. I read the reviews and sized up 0.5 (i normally wear 6.5 heels, 7.0 flats, and i got a 7.5.) and they fit perfectly with regular boot socks. They would be too tight with really thick socks, but with the omni-heat lining my feet stay warm anyway. Also the purple color is brighter in person!

These fit perfect and kept my feet so warm and dry in the snow. I normally wear between a 7 and a 7 1/2 and I got these in a seven and a half. if I had gotten a seven they would have been too tight but these were perfect. Not to mention they're super cute.

Out of the box they were perfect size, but while wearing them a few hours they pinched my feet & actually made my toes numb,,, I think it was the upper foot that was too tight,,, two days into wearing them & they are perfectly fitting!! they are like second skin& I should add, like second fur--- they are sooo warm, too warm for the climate, at the moment, but they will be perfect all around once it actually gets cold around here... love them!!!

The boots are nice, very warm and stylish. They do run small. I normally wear a 9.5-10, they only had a 10 so I bought them. I can wear them with very thin socks or no socks at all. They have a fur lining so no socks might work. They are a little narrow as well, so if you have wide feet they might not be for you.

True to size, comfortable, warm and stylish, but terrible on icy paths. On a 5 mile walk in January 2020, in Truckee California, on a paved path that had some icy spots, I almost fell a few times.

I've worn one pair of Columbia Minx Mid for the last 7 winters, every day super harsh conditions, and they have only just started to fail on the water proof seams. They have been warm, cute, and totally functional - I look forward to breaking them out every year. So I am desperately disappointed, even angry, that Columbia have gone and messed up a great thing. My previous size 6 from 7 years ago fit my slightly wide foot perfectly - better than sneakers. When I bought a second pair for a change in color about 5 years ago, I found them tight and didn't wear them. I had my original pair to fall back on so I didn't care too much. Now that my original pair is done for though, I care very much that Columbia hasn't fixed the fit issue - in fact, it's far worse! I just ordered at size 6 and size 6.5 and I could barely get my foot in the shoe. I wear 5.5s in most heels, slip-ons, and sandals and 6s for anything with socks; so to have a 6.5 be painfully small was a shocker. Based on the reviews and color availability, I made another order for a 7.5. I can hardly believe the instep is still too tight and the shoe is too narrow overall. I feel like my heel isn't sitting down in the boot because they added a wedge to the insole (WHY?) and the length was simply too large at this size anyway, so despite the tight fit everywhere else my heel sloshes around in the boot when I walk. Who the heck is in charge of sizing for this line? Why you gotta go and do me like that Columbia? Minx used to be the perfect combo of a cute city / town boot that can play hard in the snow but I can't get behind this. Skip this one and try something else unless your foot is exceptionally narrow and flat - in which case, enjoy!
