OK, so I'm trying to decide between the Minx, the Heavenly and the Meadows. First, on sizing, yes, they do run small. I'm a perfect 8 in classic Uggs, a 9 in Nike running shoes and fit a 9.5 in all of these - with room for thicker socks, but ok without. I need a wider toe box and these are fine. They do not push the big toe in like a lot of brands do. So, to compare and contrast... I immediately ruled out the Heavenly because I don't want the big fur fold-over - keeps you from being able to wear pants that go over the top. That IS cute though, but it will get wet in the snow. I like both the Minx and the Meadows. The Minx feels more like a slipper. The external sole isn't as wide and they aren't as supportive. They are super cute with leggings though. The Meadows feels more like a very comfortable shoe. I think the ankle area may need to get worked in a bit. Only slightly stiff though. The Meadows do run a tad wider in the toe bed and are much wider in the sole - more stability for a hike and more contact with snow. Really, I can't imagine going on much of a hike in the Minx. Seems that they would be great for walking around a snow village and building a snowman. Tough decision! Btw, I'm not a professional reviewer. I'm home sick with a cold and am really bored. I'm going to put the same review over on the Minx.

Very functional but the sizing is way off and the styling could use a little improvement. I normally wear an 8.5 and got a 9.5. When I sized up, the boots fit well (but with zero room to spare) with a single pair of socks. I would not be able to double up socks with these at all, even after going a full size larger than what I normally wear.
I don't quite understand the styling. I was looking for a female equivalent to the men's Columbia Fairbanks boot (the "Elk" color, that I wanted, was sold out in my size). The sporty, hightop sneaker look of the Meadows Shorty is sort of confused by the addition of fake fur. I wish these companies would stop adding nonfunctional, faux fur trim to all women's snow boots. Most parkas have a fur trim. Do we need clashing faux fur near our feet also? The fur on the black boots is a dingy gray; on the taupe boots it's a dingy cream. Both add nothing, but outfit coordinating difficulty, to the boots. All the criticism aside, the boots are incredibly lightweight, very comfortable, and warm (albeit, I only tried them in my room temp home). Also, I found them for half price. Trying to decide if I should keep them just for playing in the snow or if I should hold old and buy a sportier, more fashionable, men's equivalent next year. Decisions decisions...

Best cold weather boots ever! I wore these in heavy snow, some ice, and temps down to 4°, and my feet were sweating in wool socks! I walked 6-12 miles/day for a week with no blisters or discomfort. My feey stayed dry and warm. They're not the most fashionable boots, but they're perfect for harsh weather. I'm normally an 8M with a slightly narrow foot. In these, I had to order a 9. They were a bit tight in the toe box the first few hours, but stretched to a comfortable fit by the end of day 1. Would definitely recommend!

Ordered an 8 and typically wear 7-7.5. These feel great just around my place. Feel like I'm off the ground which is what I wanted. Also order Meadows, the taller version and am leaning toward the taller boot for added warmth and protection but would be happy with these otherwise.

These are cute boots, however, they were way too narrow for me even with thin socks. I just measured my foot right behind my toes and it is eight and a half inches around. I hope that helps somebody. I bought a seven and a half, and I think an eight would have still been too narrow.
Zappos service is great! I took the boots to the UPS store and in an hour or so, I got my refund!
I sent for another pair of boots, so I can't wait to see how they fit!

These are incredibly comfortable. I wanted a shorter, more lightweight pair of boots that are good for walking a 5K in cold weather. I found them. Fit: I sized up a half-size and removed the insole. I always use a Spenco insole for more rigid arch support in all my shoes (I have high arches). The removable insole the boots came with is *extremely* thick and cushiony. The boots felt a little tight with the original Columbia insole; just right with my usual inserts.

My daughter is in college in a cold weather state and we needed boots for her ASAP with a November snow coming. She's a 7.5 so I ordered her an 8 but they were still too small. The 8.5s are perfect and she loves them! And of course using Zappos with the super quick shipping was perfect. Snow came, feet were warm and stylish! Recommend (a full size larger)!

Thank goodness I read and listened to the reviews on these boots. I ALWAYS go with Sorel, but I saw these boots and fell in love. I am a size 7 in womens, but the reviews said to order a whole size up, so I ordered a size 8 and they fit perfectly. The are so comfortable and I can tell they will keep my feet nice and warm.

Cute. Would be about right in our winter weather. But too narrow. Thin sock only. Not acceptable. Returning. Thank you Zappos.

Very lightweight and easy to wear. Keeps you warm without being overpowering for light winter wear. Great for snowshoeing and tooling around town.

I’m glad I read the reviews because I typically wear a size 9 and ordered a size 10 and they fit perfectly. So definitely order a size up! Other than that they keep your feet super warm and they’re super cute!

Overall, love this boot! You don't feel like you're wearing a clunky, heavy winter boot. These boots are perfect for rainy fall days and cold winter nights. My only (and minor) complaint, they are slightly narrow across the top and definitely order a half size up. For someone with Raynaud's and flat feet, these keep my feet toasty ad supportive!

Note : I always have cold feet and generally my feet hurt at the end of the day with any boot.
I put these on and they fit perfectly with normal socks. They felt like slippers with a bit more support, and so light! Went to Tahoe this past weekend and wore them for the first time, weather was under 20 degrees with 4 + feet of snow. They were perfect, stayed dry and very warm. In fact initially I grabbed them and threw them on with no socks and they were so toasty, def a pair if you live in a cold area to slip on and run out to start your car. I snowshoed in them for 2 hours and they were great, no pain, no cold = a very happy girl!

I liked the weight and style of these boots a lot but the other reviews were right about the narrow size. The length was great but they were so narrow and not a lot of opportunity to stretch. They were exactly what I was looking for but need to return for fit. I don't think a size up will work for me but maybe for others. I liked the way they went higher in the back and had traction. They top isn't rubber either - which I like too. Not a traditional bulky snow boot. And definitely warm. Think they would be perfect for narrow feet!

I'm really happy these. I ordered a half size up for thicker socks and they're perfect. They're so warm I really don't need thick socks unless it's really cold. I can't wait to wear them in Iceland and Antarctica.

Definitely disagree with reviews that say it runs small, I think people just aren't loosening up the laces enough before putting them on. I sized .5 up (got an 8) and now they're a bit too big for me. Kept my feet very warm/dry while ice fishing.

After trying on several pairs of boots this winter I finally found the perfect ones! These are warm, comfortable and still remain very light in weight. I will get a lot of use from them in the snow, and I find they have good traction on the ice.

Per suggestions of reviews, I went up a half size when ordering. I haven't hiked in them yet, but I like the height & weight of the boot. I expect these will be much warmer in cold weather than my "serious" hiking boots from some years back. Lucky to have gotten these on sale.
