The boot architecture makes it stiff and firm unlike competitors. I was looking for a non-stiff boot that had plenty of cushion. This boot is not what I was looking for. Recommend boot for hiking where you need stiff ankle support and not a lot of foot flex.

Extremely lightweight boots. But not that comfortable. Felt tight in the toes.

I just want to tell you the black is not black but dark blue. Otherwise thumbs up!

These are the 4th pair of Salewas I've purchased and my least favorite. I wore them on dozens of short treks and for the first few miles they were comfortable (though the foam soles lacked a little padding toward the front of the foot) but around mile 4 or 5 I always got heel blisters. Figured I could just push through and break them in, but after a couple months I gave up. Very waterproof and a nice spacious footbed, so not all bad, but just not the best shoe for me.

These are the 4th pair of Salewas I've purchased and my least favorite. I wore them on dozens of short treks (<3 miles) before taking them on longer outings. The last two hikes in these boots (6 -7.5 miles) resulted in nasty blisters on both heels. Salewa has a blister-free guarantee, so I expected them to perform better than this. Also, the soles seems less padded/comfortable than the Wildfire and the Firetails I currently own, and so my forefoot was also shockingly sore after the longer hikes. The shoes fit very well, which also makes me surprised that I'm getting blisters (there's no heel slip whatsoever).
