I have been wearing Merrells for over 10 years now and these may be the most comfortable pair I have. A very sturdy, yet comfortable shoe for as light as it is. I recommend them.

This shoe fits great. I've been wearing Merrell Moab Vents for years, but the Vents new model has been narrowed so they hurt. Got this shoe instead. It is used for a 3 to 4 mile walk each morning to the gym, playing Disc Golf through the woods of eastern Georgia, and excelled while hiking near Nelson, BC and Whitefish, MT.

The fit is apropos. I've used the shoes in mud, rough and sloped terrain, slatted metallic walkways, and on stairways. The shoes provide strong traction and are comfortable. The laces open up frequently and a double knot is perhaps better.

I have had 2 pairs of the original FST which I loved. I am happy to say that the FST2 is better than the original. I will probably buy 2 more pairs! Awesome shoe, I love it.

These are very comfy versions of the Moab line by Merrell. The MegaGrip sole is much stickier and hard wearing than the original. They do seem to run a tad more narrow than the original Moab, especially in the toebox area. I *think* they would dry faster if wet and they should most certainly breathe better. All in all a great option as long as you know your size. Zappos makes it easy if you don’t know it for whatever reason.

I wanted these to fit because reviewers said they were very waterproof and I walk dogs. But unfortunatley they were too snug on my left foot on the left side of my small toe. My left foot is slightly larger than right, but when shoes are sized not to be snug, they fit me fine. The length sizing of the shoe was fine, but because of reviewers saying they ran a bit small I even ordered 1/2 size up in these. I wear 10.5 mens, I tried the 11. I also ordered the new Merrell Alverstone waterproof and they fit great. They have more room in the medium width, and also run true to size. The 10.5 fits as it should. The FST 2 was definitely more narrow than the Alverstone.

I ordered these shoes in July for hiking this summer and they are the best shoes I have for hiking the trails in Tahoe. You will not be let down, they fit perfect and are breathable shoes. I have another pair of Moabs that are waterproof that I love to wear in the winter.

Feels more like a tennis shoe than a hiking shoe, but they are great on the trail. Very lightweight and comfortable! Ready to go right out of the box, no break-in required. I highly recommend it and will purchase it again.

These shoes are extremely comfortable. They fit my narrower foot really well as the laces grip tight, but they seem like they'd also work well for wider feet. Good arch support, light, and quite comfortable to move quick in when need be. My one gripe is they run a bit hot. They look they should ventilate but somehow my feet run warmer than in my other shoes.

I really wanted to like these but they are so narrow. I went a half size up but I couldn’t get a solid heel lock like the regular Moabs. Otherwise, if they fit your feet... you’ll love them!

I've been wearing Merrill shoes since 1990. When I was younger they were my go to hiking shoes. For the last 20 years I've been wearing them daily. I teach and spend about 90% of my day standing or walking on hard surfaces. Shoes can make you or break you under such conditions. Unfortunately, these shoes did not live up to the comfort of previous Merrill shoes. I'm not sure where to begin. The outsole/insole combo feels like its made of hard plastic. It feels much narrower than previous Merrill hiking shoes in this class. The vamp feels different as well, stiffer and angled off of the welt in a different, not pleasant way. I am ready to add another pair of work shoes to my rotation and am unsure what to buy after this experience.
