First of all, I can't describe how happy I am with Sigma FL pant. After many years of searching, I've finally got the perfect pant for daily use, either Friday business casual to office, or a trip around the world, or a hike in the woods. This pant does it all.
Previously all my casual pants are jeans, and I hate jeans so badly for they are heavy, get wet easily, low waist, and tear apart after one or two years.
I wanted to find pants that are light, slim, fast dry, and most importantly, fit well. I've tried out a couple Arcteryx pants in past years and found out they are either baggy (relax fit doesn't work for me) or wrinkles easily. Until recently I ran into Gamma LT and Sigma FL. Materials on these two pants are exactly what I was looking for, Sigma FL is slightly thicker than Gamma LT but they both fit all my criteria.
On the fit side, I'm 5'7", 150 lbs (68kg). Size small short fit me perfectly, basically 32 waist and 30 length.

Props to Arc'teryx for making pants with a long (and small) inseam! Not everyone is the same height and it's nice that they make options for a diversity of sizes.
I've climbed rock, snow, and ice in these pants and can say they excel in all terrain. They repel water nicely (at least short-term. Haven't used them in heavy rain). They are comfy and stretchy in the right places; they definitely don't restrict movement. The slim fit is nice. With less material around the ankles, I don't catch my crampons like I do with other pants.
They are breathable so when the winds are really gusting hard you can feel it a bit through the fabric. But layering properly underneath should minimize this.
I can't speak to longevity, since I've only had them a few weeks, but I'm definitely glad I bought them.
My only complaint is that the buckle thing above the fly is hard to re-attach after taking a pee while wearing a harness and multiple upper body layers. Minor complaint though.
For sizing, I wear a 32" waist, 34" inseam. The MT size fits me perfectly.

Love these pants. I have 3 pair just because they work so well on the trail or the rocks. Trim fitting true to size and fit description and the material stays light and smooth against the skin. Never gets heavy or sticks.

Hope this helps everyone with selecting the proper size... i am 6' 1", 178 lb., 39 in chest, 32" waist. I ordered the Medium/Regular and i like the slim fit. it is tapered and fits similar to slim fit 31" jeans from APC or AG. i am not super skinny and i do NOT have a flat belly...
The belt for me is on the second to last loop and i can make it one level tighter if needed. most of the reviews recommend sizing up, i disagree... if you are comfortable with slim fit jeans, order your normal size. if you like straight leg or baggy jeans, size up. the medium compares to Fjallraven size 31/32. for the inseam, regular is perfect for me. the tall would looked messy on me. i wear these with black high tops and the length is perfect.

The Sigma FL pants are very slim fitting compared to my other outdoor technical pants. I'm still getting used to the fit but the flexibility provided by the fabric makes them very comfortable. I have even started using them for casual, urban setting. The fabric has proven to be very robust. Bushwalking, snow spikes abrasion from my boots etc have not show up at all. After four months of regular wet, winter usage in rainy Vancouver hills the pants still look like new. Water still beads off the fabric.
Overall, I've been very happy with my purchase but I was a little surprised at how slim they fit. I am 6' and 175lbs with a 31" inseam and medium fit perfectly.

I bought this for a last minute snowshoeing trip to Yosemite. I needed something that was weather resistant, robust, breathable, and layerable. Functionally, these pants performed excellently. Along with a baselayer, they kept my temperature regulated really well (30-40F). I'd be comfortable using them while climbing or doing other kinds of hikes as well. Aesthetically, they're pretty easy to wear in and out of nature. I knew that according to the size chart, the small/short should have been too big for me (5'4"; 122 lbs; 29" waist; 28" inseam; Everlane 4-way stretch skinny 29x28 is a perfect skinny jean for me; Goodthreads slim fit stretch chino 29x28 is what I like to wear to the office). However, other reviews often mentioned that sizing up is recommended here. If you're of a slimmer build, I'd disagree--I think these fit relatively true to size, which is why I'd want Arcteryx to make these in a XS/short like with the Gamma LT pant for example. That being said, I'm happy to keep these because the functionality/aesthetics are still excellent.

I am a big Arcteryx fan for their durability and I'm not shy to use their stuff hard. I might not be in the Alps, sadly, but as an Arborist, wood worker, and everything outdoors related, these get beat up and dirty. Quality product! But Arcteryx doesn't exactly dial their sizing in the pants like they do other areas. According to the size chart, a small is 30-32 US. My Gamma pants are also a size small and fit perfect, even with layering. These? too snug. Other Arcteryx pants have also been smalls but none have fit similar to each other. Understanding each pant has different cut patterns etc etc. but the waists shouldn't vary so drastically. Good pant. Good trim fit throughout. Comfy. Look good. But bad sizing

I bought this 2 months ago and have used it a couple times. The fabric is great. Feels extremely durable and light. I'm 5'7" and got the SS. The length still seems a bit too long though and the butt area seems a bit baggy. Would be 5 stars if they had XSS sizes available.

Just got these about a month ago. They feel quite durable and should work well for climbing in CO during the should seasons. The zippers are smooth and well placed. The only thing I'd caution on is the fit. Don't follow the size guide! It shows me as being a size small, yet I could hardly get them on! I am 6'1", 165 lbs with about a 32" waist and found the medium regular fit best. I also tried the long but there was just too much extra material at the ankles.

I previously owned a pair of Sigma FL in size MS when I was about 32 waist 30 inseams, 155 lbs. The fit was good - not too tight and not too baggy. I was able to layer something underneath. It had great DWR, dries very quickly, but doesn't hold so well in long periods of rain.
This year, I toned down a bit from cycling and currently measure around 30-31 waist, 140 pounds. The MS became too big for me so I decided to try on size SS. The waist and lower legs on the SS fits perfectly, but the thighs were too tight because my legs got bigger due to cycling. It felt like I was wearing tights and it also made it difficult to layer underneath unless I want my legs to look like sausages.
It's difficult to tell whether the Sigma FL stretches over time, but I ended up returning it for the Gamma LT in size SS. An Arc'teryx representative explained to me that the Gamma LT has the closest fit to the Sigmas, but a bit more relaxed. Hopefully the Gamma works out better.
Overall, the Sigma FLs are great and slim, but you may want to size up or try the Gamma LT if you have larger thighs.

I used these pants for the last few months while touring in the backcountry on spring days in Colorado, running in the alpine on colder days in California, and also A LOT of dessert climbing in Utah and Nevada. I was skeptical of the fabric at first, but the pant really held up to sandstone abrasion better than I was expecting. Including a particularly rough day climbing a knobby off-width in red rock. The zipper pocket is also very convenient for your cell phone while climbing and does not get in the way of your harness.
While using these touring they obviously did not fit into my snowboard boot, but they were perfect for touring on hot days given that that fabric seemed pretty good at regulating temperature.

This review pertains to fit only.
Normally I'm a small, but when I tried on these pants in size small they fit more like tights. Since I plan on using them for multi-day trips I ended up buying the medium.
For reference I am 5' 10", 30/31 inch waist, and weigh 155lb.
- The waist in the medium is a bit looser than I like, but the built in belt addresses that quibble.
- Around the thighs is where I feel the difference the most, I no longer feel like i'm wearing tights, but pants. and items are easier to remove from the pockets.
- Length only increased .5 inches so that's actually a win since the pants are now more likely stay under my gaiters/over my boots on high steps.
General comments:
- All pockets fit an iPhone XR adequately
- Material has a decent amount of stretch
- Cuffs are just big enough to fit around my Sportiva Nepal Cube boots and Scarpa Zodiac Tech's
- The sinch for tightening the cuff is ingenious and uber lightweight
- Logo on thigh is reflective--love accents like this for alpine starts

I'm a 31/30 and usually like wearing slim straight cut pants or jogger style pants. I originally tried the Psiphon AR in small and the waist was perfect, but it was too long and not tapered.
After reading all the reviews about the Sigma FL, I tried the Medium Short and it was a great fit for me. I can make the belt tighter, which makes me wonder how a Small Short would fit me.
Overall, great pants and I love how it doesn't necessarily look like all the other baggy hiking pants.

These are great fall/winter pants. I wouldnt suggest for summer as they are a bit thicker material.
For people who have a smaller frame these are great because they arent baggy in the but , which makes them more versatile. You could wear them into town and not look outta place.
That slimmer fit in the hips and waist means if your in the middle of a size or larger, go up a size. In fact unless your at the bottom measurement of a size, go up a size. Then it be comfortable.
The pant is constructed well and has useful features.

A bit trim for an Arc'teryx medium. I found the Medium still fit me like the Gamma LT and Gamma rock but snugger on the waist,
These pants are perfect for cool weather climbing and being in the mountains. Durable on the knees and seat like the Gamma rock but with a bit thicker fabric elsewhere for cooler weather.
I love that they added a thigh pocket!
Can't speak to the long term use yet but they're been awesome for climbing and some cold weather backpacking.
If you're in the lower end of the size chart, size up. I went with the Tall for extra ankle coverage, I could easily have got the Large and and some room to tighten the belt. So if you're on the cusp according to the size chart, go bigger..
