I love these bibs. Wear them for snowmobiling and snowboarding. I'm 6'4", 185lbs and sold my XL pair and picked up LT which fit perfectly. When I had my set of extra larges we were out snowmobiling on a day where we had 2 feet of fresh California powder but the temps changed mid day and got in the high 40s turning the snow to slop. Lots of getting stuck ensued. The two guys I was with we're soaking wet and literally wringing water out of their gear. I didn't tell them till the end of the day but I was completely dry, might as well have been sunbathing at the beach. I also love the super light feel and the mobility in these. It's like you're not even wearing them.

I got these bibb as a replacement to the Beta Ar pants for more skiing. The cut, fabric choice, and design features are all much stronger on the SV bibb. In terms of materials, the pants are bomb-proof! The two types of gore materials work perfectly in terms of more exposed areas and areas that need more breathable. The bibb suspenders are easily adjustable and hold their shape incredibly well. They move with the body and are flexible to different stances. The pockets on the bibbs could be slightly larger, but are accommodating. They are easily work with a shell and midlayer top, as well as a backpack strap. The material is breathable enough for touring, but days in the 30s require no baselayer. The double zip function of the side vents work well for adjusting boots when transitioning, as well as opening up to the air to dump heat. In terms of improvements, since this is the first edition. I would like to see a thigh pocket like the stingers. It would be nice to see a slightly higher waistline.

Like everything Arc'teryx makes, this is hands down the best quality! Worth every penny. I can't wait to shred this season in this gear.

The combination of N80p-X 3L GORE-TEX Pro & N115p-X face fabric reinforcements on the butt & knees are essential for outdoor activities during cold/wet conditions that involve sitting & kneeling. The scuff guards on the ankles are very durable. There are internal cuff adjusters & an integrated elasticized gaiter. Full-length dual-leg zips vent easily & the dual-zip crotch offers flexible pit-stop action. The relatively small pockets each have a small tether loop for a beacon. This mid-cut bib is a great option for snowshoeing, hiking, skiing, & snowboarding. I'm 5'10" & 165 lbs (178cm/75kg) the medium regular inseam fits comfortably.

Bravo Arcteryx ! Your designers actually listened to consumers. This new bib is a huge improvement from previous editions. Previously the crotch and legs were way too tight and uncomfortable with full range of motion. The waist hugs the body where as the previous was floppy and loose. The bib is lightweight but gives you full protection from the elements while allowing you to breath in high aerobic activities. This new Bib is pretty close to perfect. And thank you for making ski pants/bibs in Tall sizes. If you are tall (6'3" - 6'8"), and a serious skier (backcountry, resort) or alpinist, this Bib is for you. There are no other tall Bibs on the market that compare. FYI, I'm 6'6" and 215#.

I have fallen off cliff drops, run into trees and branches and crashed and slid on ice. This bib has seen me through it all and is still in perfect condition. My favourite part is the ultra-durable N155p-X GORE-TEX Pro 3L on the knee area. My only slight complaint is it doesn't have the Slide 'n Loc compatibility with my Rush jacket. The powder skirt eventually bunches up around my mid-back and on super rare occasions in big crashes in the pow I have gotten snow down my back.

I love these hardshell pants. They are super durable and great for snowboarding/skiing, mountaineering, and backcountry tours. Completely bombproof. The only minor complaint I have is that the snaps on the sides where the zippers come up sometimes end up sitting underneath the hip belt of your backpack and causes some light bruising. That is easy enough to avoid though. Otherwise I couldn't be happier with them! Thanks Arcteryx!

I just got these pants and they are the perfect Split boarding pant. Perfect fit and seal around the boot, and amazing comfort, warmth, breathability, and water and wind seal. They are rugged enough for bushwacking and icey rocky surfaces. I'm really happy with them.

I bought those with a ski trip in French Alps in mind. Before I tried models which are specifically intended for skiing (Cassiar and Sabre) and they felt extremely baggy. This model on other hand fits perfectly, very comfortable. There is no inner isulation but with merino tights I was warm enough even with some strong wind while on a ski lift. I like the bib version a lot - makes me feel very secure. I was able to test them also in heavy rain conditions and didn't have a single drop of rain going through them.

Absolutely love these pants. Looked for years for a pair for west coast skiing that would hold up and these are perfect.

I've grown to use my Beta AR jacket for pretty much everything and when I found the lower half companion I knew I had solved my long time search for the perfect all-around shell pants. These are awesome! Perfect pockets and zips are just enough to remove any activity's mobility hassle, without adding unnecessary bulk. The only thing I noticed that might've stunted my high from obtaining these bad boys is that the material is a little less "bombproof feeling" than the Beta AR jacket. However, that difference is probably just a necessary change for better leg mobility.

I have about fifty ski days in these pants, both backcountry and frontcountry. Material and fit are both great. The bottom half of the pants are especially bomb-proof. The tall sizing is also great. My only complaint is really the lack of pockets. The pants only have one pocket on the right thigh and it's barely big enough for a cell phone. For touring, I really need a chest pocket and some giant thigh pockets for snacks, beacon, gloves, etc. Not sure which designer thought backcountry skiers really wanted pants without pockets??

So far, this bib has been fantastic. I've just used it for ski touring in Utah thus far, and it holds up nicely to tree skiing and the associated garment trauma - no rips thus far, so this is certainly a durable option. Obviously waterproof, and the side zips are great for dumping heat. Fly is easy to find and undo. Very warm thus far - have had multiple 10 degree starts with just a baselayer (bottom and top) and an Atom - toasty within 15-20 minutes. If you're in the market for a bib, this is the one to get. Now, the negatives - first, there is only ONE pocket, on the thigh. Nice, sure. But I'd like to see at least one or two more, maybe on the inside? Not necessarily another beacon pocket, but it would be nice to have some small pockets for a phone, snacks, lip balm, etc. - I imagine this will make spring/summer touring difficult as I can't have ready access to any goodies. The only second issue I have is the fit - I got the XL on purpose to have a slightly roomer fit. I'm not sure who this bib is cut for, but I presume for someone with a MASSIVE badonkadonk. The butt cutout is absurdly large. When you're wearing a jacket it is hidden (and it helps the garment flow a bit so not super prevalent in action), and appearances are meh but it just seems like an odd choice. Other than that, love 'em!

Bought these to replace my old touring pants as I wanted a bib style pant and Gore Pro fabric. The build and quality of the garment and fabrics are amazing but I'm giving 4 stars for the fit. I am XL in most things Arc'teryx (especially pants), and these fit pretty well in the legs, though the "bib" portion of these pants is pretty slim. If you're a bigger guy that wears XL it may be worth trying on two sizes. Overall, great build and design, would like to see the bib portion go higher up and maybe have its own pocket and also a transceiver holster in the leg pocket.

The bibs are terrific. Arcteryx quality for materials is met. but... I don't know where I'm supposed to keep miscellanies items (leatherman, lighter, ski pass, p-cord, gloves etc.) I don't always need to store these items but sometimes I want to take my gloves off while removing skins and I'm left with them between my knees. I like to keep a leatherman on my person for adjusting bindings or doing something that requires pliers. I have no place to carry this. There are not belt loops so I'm unable to keep it at my waist. The only pockets are high (upper belly) and not easily accessible without unzipping the jacket. I used to have the Sentinel bibs and I loved them. Two hip/thigh pockets. Two chest pockets. I ski at lift service areas often and like to keep a pass on my pants because I always wear the same pants. I can't wear my pass on my pants because there is nothing to attach to. I have to wear the lanyard, therefore, requiring an unzip of the jacket at each lift ride. Pockets please.

although this is a great product, please consider more than just black for consumers purchasing in a medium/short. Would buy the "triton" in a heartbeat.

I picked up these pants last winter and unfortunately didn't get a chance to get out with them much until recently. However, after around 10 days out I began to notice significant wearing on the interior. I like to think I take good care of my gear; I am gentle, wash it with tech wash, store it dry etc. I'm honestly just really disappointed in the deterioration happening so soon, especially considering the hefty price tag. I contacted Arcteryx customer service and apparently this is considered normal wear so it is not covered by warranty. For the record, durability aside, I do think they are a wonderful pair of pants. I just can't justify it when the goretex delaminates so quickly, especially on a "Severe" model. Going forward I'll be looking elsewhereI
