This jacket has lasted me 2 years so far of regular use. I wear it to work at the farm and indoor gardens and also when I am helping rig stages and events. I also wear it when I am out hiking, running errands or skiing. This jacket is great for everything. It fits comfortable over a ski helmet which is nice on really cold days because it adds tons of extra insulation with my beanie, helmet insulation and shell over the top off all that. This jacket has sustained the test of hard work and time. I routinely wash it with Tek-Wash every few months or so, I am about to retreat the DWR to aid with water beading on the outside. Anyone looking for a great and lightweight synthetic down jacket should get on of these--- no no I take that back, everyone should own one of these!! This jacket is great. I saved up for this and used my Big Sky employee discount when I bought it. Super stoked about this product.

Just took this Atom LT hoody out on its first adventure snowboarding at Jay Peak. It was super warm and comfortable. Used it as a mid layer beneath the Beta AR and the two are a match made in heaven. Thanks for this great clothing Arc'teryx :)

The sides vent heat really well whenever your doing any high output activity. It's just a magic jacket that no other company has been able to compare too. If your on the fence buy it. I don't think it is possible to regret the purchase.

Perfect garment. This is a pricey jacket, but I think its worth every penny. Multi season use, perfect hood, runs true to size (maybe a tiny bit on the small size). This is my second Arc'teryx purchase - great garments.

I love this jacket! It's so great that I've got 2. I would highly recommend this jacket for a year-round jacket. It works for a variety of activities from hiking to bike-commuting to climbing. It's especially great in damper climates.

I just replaced my old Atom LT Hoody, which I wore out after 10 years of hard use. In between, I tried multiple other brands and styles of light, synthetic puffy jackets, and this one is the best. I don't go ski touring without it - great layering piece that also works well as outerwear in many conditions, and packs small and light. I'm a wilderness instructor, and I bring this backpacking in the mountains and canyons and on the river year around. It's also fitted and stylish enough for date night. I wish it was available in a warm, high-biz color besides the neon orange. But I LOVE this jacket!

When I first bought this jacket I was so disappointed in myself for spending almost $300 with tax and shipping on a jacket. When it arrived I had a bit of shame wearing it but I wore it when I was biking to school on a super foggy day and I have never been that cozy and comfortable. Then it started raining and I felt even warmer because I expected to be cold but it stayed just as warm. I got to school, shook it out and within 2 minutes it was dry again. I literally can't stop wearing this jacket. Ever since I got it it's the only thing I wear. This is without a doubt the best jacket I've ever owned

Life is too short to not have this jacket in your arsenal. I give it one star for not being resistant to fire, not being a mode of transportation, and its lack of time-travel capabilities. The material is soft and very comfortable and allows total freedom of movement. I usually wear a medium in Arcteryx jackets but for the Atom LT I went with a large because it tends to run small. The medium was too short at the waist and arms, and I could tell that layering would be difficult. Bottom line: get this jacket as one of your essentials to have around anytime.

I've only had the Atom LT for a few weeks now, but I have been able to test it in a light rain, in the cold and snow (a typical late fall in southern Ontario). So far, light rain beaded off the shell like it was nothing and at 3 degrees Celsius , I was toasty with just a t-shirt underneath. I debated getting the Atom AR but I wanted the capability of using the LT all year round. I know I will have to layer it when I'm out snowshoeing or once the temperature really drops but I am good with that. The LT is a good choice, it is warmer than I expected, super comfortable and I think I will be getting my money's worth.

You reach up for this jacket, JUST this jacket and know that no matter how soaked through the outside may seem, you will still be dry at the end of the day. That's a real day, I went for a hike on a cold rainy day and decided that I would put the name of this company to the test. Just how good can this be? So I grabbed my Atom LT and a pair of gloves then went forth into the rain. I hiked for a couple of hours before the jacket hung off of me like a wet trash bag. It wasn't a driving rain, but it also wasn't a light sprinkle. That rain that's just hard enough to make you squint but not so hard that you're only looking at the ground. The Atom LT handled the day like a champ. The only parts of me that were wet were: my head (wasn't using the hood) and my armpits. The vents on the side had a little bit of water to soak through but that's it. When I got back in it took a long time for it to dry but it's returned to the same, warm synthetic loftiness that it had when I first bought it. I understand why it's a part of the Essentials Collection, I replaced my Patagonia Micro Puff with this bad boy and could not be happier. It's durable, it's comfy, it's weather resistant, and it's everything I want and more. I plan on wearing this same grey jacket until the sleeves have disintegrated. If you're still just thinking about buying this (and you actually need a high performance jacket like this) then you're just wasting time.

I basically wear this jacket every day and it's still performing 100% - either for daily wearing or ski touring in cold days never let me down!

This is a great coat. It provides wind protection and warmth but also breathes. It is great for long hikes or other outdoor activities.

I wear one of these jackets basically everyday. Wether at work at outside or adventuring outside. In the dead of winter and at night in the summer. My favorite piece of clothing I own. Definitely buy one. !!! You will be very happy. :)

firstly my background , so having been and alternative/goth for for decades, i also been into camping and hiking, yep in alternative gear, so at 46 now 49 i decided it was about time to change my look and thought the fact i'm outdoors all the time let go down that route for decent warm outdoor stuff 1st name that popped into my mind as the best out there was rab think out of all the styles they suited me best, so hours and hours of you tube reviews later, i see a review on arcteryx atom lt hoody, immediately is was like " now that looks way more my like my kinda style i been looking for" several reviews and hour later i was like " rab who????" i must admit the price was shocking and u couldn't understand why they could cost so much, but kicked myself thinking, ok lets go with that to start with then and see so it arrived in post and i took it out feeling how light it was and instant thoughts omg i really have made a mistake here thinking how difficult will be to send back i wonder luckly it was a frosty day, keeping the labels on i put it on and again thought, way way too light walked outdoors and was , " no way, na.! really, how???? how can it be so light and so warm" this took me the rest of the day to get over, how could something so light be so warm under i had a t shirt and cotton hoddy and was about minus 4 degrees, no wind i wish now i had never bought this jacket sometimes, as now i have been changing over everything to arcteryx brand, costing me a fortune, but i have never found such and exceptional brand in my life that is so comfy, well fitting, does everything it says its going to, awesome quality in everything they do so far now i have added some pictures of some bubbling on the jacket on one shoulder and some on from torso on side, ultimately my own fault with a cheap rough backpack "now only use osprey packs though have my eye in a arcteryx one" when i 1st had it, but it had otherwise stood up to the test of time and other wise looks really tidy still and works as it always did so many time i actually get too hot wear this and is on and off, however i think i would buy the atom ar as well at some point for those extra cold windy days,, side vents on lt are great in mild cold weather , but when i'm coastal walking on the wilds of the Cornish north coast sometimes the cold will creep in, but we are talking that windy your scared to get to close to edge of the cliffs anyway haha this jacket is a super way to get into your 1st approach to this brand, but beware your be going to AA meeting before you know it aka "arcteryx anonymous " for the addiction your get hope this help you if you on the cliff wondering if to jump off and spend your cash, you won't regret it i promise the abuse i gave this coat has been down to me, rough straps, and stuffing this coat in cracks in the car when out, if you take better care of it than me i think your have a way better condition coat than i have made it, but then this proves to me how it really does take it, next one i get i will be more careful with no i know how good they are this is an update review from when i 1st got it

Everyone should have one of these coats. They have a ton of uses! No one ever says "I wish I never bought the atom lt". No one.

I have never felt so warm in such a lightweight jacket ever! I'm so happy I invested in this jacket

Light weight. Very good insulation. Perfect for rainy, windy day. Love the feel of fabric inside.
