I commute into Manhattan everyday and this coat is the best for it. It is a great warm, every weather, comfy coat.

I returned the size small India ink for the extra small norsi green color. I'm so happy with the color, size and style. I am looking forward now to a bit more winter now in WI so that I can wear my coat!!!

This is my absolute favorite Columbia product, and favorite jacket I own. The fit is very flattering, and it is incredibly warm. It doesn't have the silvery lining that other columbia jackets have, which makes it perfect for a wide range of temperature, warm when it's extra cold, but not too hot when it's mid temperature outside. It is not bulky, but still comfortable if you have another sweater under it. It is not constricting when you leave it zipped when you sit down.

I live in Portland, OR so I wanted a coat that had a lot of flexibility and could handle rain! I love that I can get a puffy coat look and also switch it up for rain cover when needed. It's awesome to have both options. I'm 5'5'' and this coat comes just above my knees. I'm often in between a S/M and went with a M. It's comfortable but a tiny bit bigger than I would have wanted - it gives lots of room for sweaters. It's certainly warm enough in Portland and I recently wore it in Alaska and thought it was warm enough down to 10F! I got the nori color and it was slightly more green that the photo shows but I like the color a lot. I wish that the hood could be cinched in for added warmth!

I loved this coat so much I bought it in two colors: india ink and rich wine. The wine is a darker hue than it appears on my computer and the india ink is a deep blueish grey. I am 5"4" and 125' with a curvy figure. I am comfortable in the large with room for a sweater underneath. The medium was too snug. When it reverses to the quilted side, the cuff tucks up inside the sleeves so they are the proper length. I appreciate the longer length, closer to the knee than thigh, because I wear this commuting and with skirts as well as trousers and it looks styish. I also like the hood, the fact that there are snaps as well as a strong zipper and the well-placed pockets.

I live in the Midwest where we are experiencing arctic temperatures. This coat keeps me warm out in the brutal cold temperatures. It is also stylish and sleek! I ordered a Large and I am still able to wear a sweatshirt if I desire too.

Great insulated raincoat. Just what I wanted - waterproof and insulated for chilly rainy days, but not as bulky as my winter parka. I ordered Ink and it’s a pretty grayish blue but my parka is gray so I’d rather have this in black. I just wish the hood was adjustable, there is no way to tighten or cinch closed.

I never post reviews, so this is rare for me. I'm posting this review because this coat is the best purchase I've made in years. Decided to pare down my wardrobe and own just what I need clothing wise. This coat is worth every penny it costs. Multi functional (reversible), light weight, stylish, and durable. Since purchase I've worn it on a bitter cold windy day and it kept me warm and dry!

Great parka. Satisfied. Love it. It's just the discount really annoying. Made me return one to get this one at a lower price, just to find out that there came another discount. They don't do price matching, which means either repeatedly return and repurchase, or don't open the link ever again to see its current price. Parka is good though.

I was looking for something fairly warm but also not too bulky, and this coat is just the right balance. I love that it reverses to a puffer coat. Very pleased with this purchase!

This coat was a gift for my daughter. She loves it, it is reversible, waterproof on one side, and down puffy on the other side. It is stylish and warm and dry!

The coat is very warm and has nice features such as the cuffs, hideaway hood, and two way zipper. It's reversible and looks great on either side. The quilted side is buttery soft fabric. Light, comfortable and a nice length for walking. I like my coats loose, so I got the Extra Large. I'm 5"4", 137 lbs, and the sleeves are a bit long for me so I fold back the cuffs. Someone my size who likes a closer fit would probably prefer the Large. Haven't tested in in extremely cold (less that 30's) or wet weather yet.

Moved from sunny Florida to rainy, cold Asheville and needed a warm waterproof coat. Was concerned the small would be short (I am 5'9" and size 6). The coat was warm and a perfect fit. If you can't move to Florida for the winter, this is the next best thing.

Bought this for my wife and she is really happy. Very warm jacket. She loves the fact that its reversible and able to give the "puffy jacket" look that she likes but then reverse into a rain/snow jacket as well.

I purchased this jacket as I am an athletic trainer in Oregon and our weather ain't easy. I purchased it in preparation for our cold fall and winter months, but I was able to use it the other day when our evening temp reached low 50s. Honestly, I was kind of sweating in this but it is SO COMFORTABLE. I can only imagine how warm it will keep me once our temps get into the 30s, and waterproofing was a must for me. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking to buy a good winter coat, it is well worth the money and will probably last a long time.

I thought I would wear the quilted side out, but found it warmer with the solid side out because of the ribbed cuffs and the quilt against the body. The zippers are also better on the solid side. It was warm in 30 degree weather with a long sleeve shirt and vest. Haven't tried it yet in colder weather. The black cherry is a beautiful color. Wish there were cuffs on the quilted side and better zippers. An extra breast zipper pocket on both sides would have been nice. The high collar and optional hood is a bonus. As a petite person, the length worked for me (to knees), but still wish there was a petite option for a better fit on the arms and chest. A medium usually fits comfortably with a sweater on, but this had a little more room.

A lot to rave about this product. You get 2 outer pockets and 2 inner pockets. All zippable and reversible. The puffy side has one of those discrete small buttons and the flat side has bigger, sturdier zippers. Super warm even though it's thin. The insulation is amazing. My only gripe is that the hood does not have draw strings for the very wide hood like the bottom of the jacket has. Even the smallest bit of wind blows my hood right off my head. It seems to be more decorative than anything. Interestingly enough, the hood is not removable, but it can be tucked away and buttoned to hide it in the jacket. Really would have been perfect if I was able to keep the hood on my head.

I purchased this coat to replace my other Columbia coat that had a broken zipper. I wanted a coat that was warm, waterproof and light weight, this coat is all of those and is a beautiful color. I have worn it in snow and it is warm without needing a lot of other layers. The only thing I would change is the length. It is a little too long but I can live with that.

I first test-drove my new jacket on a 10-20F evening with a very minimal breeze. I like this jacket...with some reservations. The overall fit and quality is great. It seems to be warm around the body as a whole. My reservations about it are 1) you cannot adjust the sleeve openings and even on a minimally windy day it matters. Even when I'm wearing gloves, the sleeves become a cold wind tunnel all the way up my arms. Now I make sure I'm wearing a thin long-sleeve sweater under the jacket. 2) I feel cold air also leaking in somewhere around my upper back and shoulders--seam management issues? With 600 fill goose down I would expect a more consistent warmth. I happen to carry other layers with me in case I need them, and I needed to also wear a thin down vest under this jacket. Not that big a deal because I have options in my closet--but someone else may not. Hope this info is helpful in your particular buying decision!

I was very excited to receive this parka after seeing all the good reviews. However, the one I received is a defect. In the hood pocket, the fabric attaching a button is ripped open. I can imagine that with the soft fabric, other buttons will get stuck one day and rip the coat again. The coat is very long. I am 5''9, purchased S, and it hits about 2-3 inches above my knees. The sleeves are long as well. There is not much down filled for insulation, so the coat is not too heavy. Probably won't stand anything below 5F, but would be good for something between 15-35F. If you are looking for a subzero parka, get a North Face.

Potential for a great coat but snaps rip off ridiculously easy leaving holes in the coat. The fit of this was great, the size worked out well. I was debating between getting a 1X or an XL so I ordered both sizes. Even though I already have a Columbia coat in 1X, the 1X in this coat was too baggy. If the coat is too baggy, regardless of down or warmth, it won't keep you warm. I wanted to go with the XL but I noticed one of the snaps was torn off. Needless to say, I sent it back. Zappos was awesome about the return and handled it well. I ordered another XL and have been praising it except today (less than a month of wearing it) one of the snaps ripped out-just like the other coat. I'm SUPER bummed. It leaves a whole in the coat. I probably have used the snap about 8 times-that's it. I understand this isn't Zappos problem, but Columbia's. I'll be writing a review on their website as well.
