I loved these the second I saw them, and ordered them right away in the pale gold color. The color is largely the same in person as online - maybe just a bit more yellow, but still stunning. The interior is a very nice, soft, breathable padded polyester fabric. I can't imagine there would be much of a painful breaking-in period with these like there sometimes can be with leather Docs. Unfortunately, the pics online made me think that the outer material would be a smooth glitter plastic/vinyl, like a glittery barstool seat, but in reality the glitter is sprayed on and rubs off rather easily. Right out of the box I got glitter on my hands and shirt, and it had already rubbed off quite a bit where the glittery part of the tongue rubs against the interior of the shoe. For me this is a dealbreaker. If I'm going to spend $100+ on a pair of shoes, I need to be able to wear them basically every day if I feel like it, and I could tell that these will not stand up to frequent wear. I also don't want to leave a trail of glitter everywhere I go, as festive as that sounds. For somebody else who has a much larger shoe collection and can afford shoes that they'll only wear on special occasions, these would be great. The tradeoff between glitter vinyl and sprayed-on glitter is that the vinyl is more durable and less messy, but the sprayed-on glitter is much more sparkly, and WOW to these boots sparkle. They're really gorgeous, just not what I was hoping for and not practical for me. Back they go! I'm glad Zappos has such an easy returns process.

Great Doc's. Glitter doesn't fall off everywhere which was a nice surprise. It took a few days for the stiff material to stop rubbing my ankle when I walked, so I just wore longer socks for that time. A week later, they are perfect!

I got a size 9, and the size and fit are perfect. They are stiff initially, but walk around the house in ‘em for a bit and hey are great. Oh, and mine are super sparkly. The picture does not do them justice. I received the shoes yesterday, 11/6, and I am wearing them for the first time today, 11/7, and I have received no less than 5 compliments, and I have only been at work for 2 hours. If you are wavering in purchasing, get ‘em!

These boots are literally EVERYTHING! The Glitter is so stunning and eye catching. They fit a bit large so I sized down one shoe size. I would absolutely recommend these??

I’m OBSESSED with these boots. Such a good purchase. These were also not difficult to break in like other Doc Martens I have purchased in the past. Also, the glitter doesn’t come off easily.

All of the comfort you expect from a Doc Marten boot, with some extra shine and shimmer. These boots are comfortable and fun. The glitter has so far held up very well through lots of travel and walking.

I’m obsessed with these!!! I am a size 7 with an average width foot and original got the size 8 because I was planning on putting orthotics in them but they were way too big. The size 7 fit perfectly! I switched out the insoles and am in heaven! (The insoles that come with it are surprisingly flimsy in my opinion.) The first time I wore them was for five hours straight on my feet at work and they were amazingly comfortable! I got the pink (note that it is definitely called “purple” but it is absolutely fuchsia as shown in the pictures). The finish is rough glitter not plastic meaning that some glitter can come off if you rub the boot but I’ve been wearing them for a week and haven’t noticed any excessive amounts of glitter in my home or car. Also I live in Chicago and have worn them on 30 degree days and my feet were nice and toasty! They are a bit pricey but treat yourself! You will love them!

So bummed these didn’t work out for me. I wanted a pair but have a tad wider foot and it was extremely tight when I put them on ??

Love all my “Docs” but this pair sparkles so beyond, had to get the pair in a different color as well!

Beautiful boots but the cut is way too narrow. I’m sad because I want to keep them but I don’t think my feet can take it. They’re very tight! If you have narrow feet go for it. If not stick to the 1460’s.

This was a christmas purchase for my granddaughter. We needed to exchange and zappos was attentive and quick to get her the style she wanted and processed the exchange without any issues

I have two pairs of these boots in different colors that I love. The texture is a little rough, but definitely doesn't feel like the glitter is about to come off. I've noticed some shedding when tightening the laces. Took a few wears to get the back of the calf broken in, but now that it is I like it. The turquoise is really a pale blue (robin's egg). I was hoping for something with more of a green undertone, so I'm returning this set, but they're perfect for someone who loves light blue!
