I've had this synthetic down hoodie for 4 years now. It has been with me on many winter adventures, alpine summits, and kept me warm where I live in the fridged Gunnison, CO. I use it under my marmot shell, and when frequently moving, (with a quality base layer) it has kept me warm down to -35 with no wind chill (staying still is a different story, though). One thing I like most about this jacket is the fact that it is featherless. It may be a bit more bulky, but I value being able to stay warm even if things get a bit damp... knowing I can just put it on and be warmer no matter what is a big plus. It also has good geometry, and allows for good range of motion. It's not too boxy or blousey, but it's not too tight as to restrict movement. The other thing is its construction. It has been stuffed into, and pulled out of backpacks and stuff sacks hundreds of times. It has probably been worn for somewhere around 600-800 days total. The zippers have been zipped thousands of times. It has sustained burn holes from sitting around campfires (see patches). It has been run through the washing machine. It has been brushed by bushes and tree branches. It has been tossed around and is always on the go. After 4 years of abuse, the only noticeable wear is some loose stitching down by the bottom (see pictures). This does not affect the functionality of the jacket, and it will continue to be used. If you're looking for a good synthetic warmth layer, I wouldn't hesitate to give this one a try. This jacket works in a motley assortment of situations, and even looks good too! Good for a night on the town just as well as it's good for stomping about the woods. Hope this is useful to someone... Happy trails -G

Lightweight, warm and great wind resistance. Great travel and hiking jacket. Warm by itself and super warm layered with a sweater. Versatile enough to be used any day above freezing temps.

Jacket fits great and is extremely comfortable. It'll keep you warm in any type of Texas cold weather. Hoody is a great addition too.

This Jacket has worked out perfect for my 17-year old son. He is 6'1" tall and weighs 165lb and the large fit him perfectly! He really loves the jacket and has convinced him it is OK to wear something other than a hoodie!!

This lightweight jacket perform better or just a much as a heavyweight coat. Keeps all body heat inside that allows you to stay warm and toasty. I recommend to not over dress with layers underneath because you will sweat if you have on to many layers.

I am 6'6" and I love Marmot because the sleeves and length always fit great! I wear size XL and the length is always a great fit.

This is a great Puffy and I've been using it for years on alpine climbs, backpacking trips, backcountry skiing, and slot canyons. It's super tough and seems only fire has been able to put a hole in it. Super warm and cozy, without being super bulky. Highly recommend.

This super versatile puffy is the loftiest hoody I've owned. While it doesn't pack down as small as other puffys, it remains warm even when wet. My wife tells me the material is smooth like butter. I have typically have trouble with sleeve length (6'5", 0 ape index) but these are perfect in a size large for me. Hood has a nice fit for your dome although it would not fit over a helmet. 3 well sized and placed pockets. I'm a big fan of this jacket.

It does the job it was designed for. Stop the chilly winds and keep the head and chest area warm. Again, outstanding Marmot quality.

Jacket looks so fire, but if you're tall you should get an XL, I got a M and I'm not that tall and the length was just a bit lower than the waistline
