I read reviews on sizing (even on Dr. martens site). Said to go down a size. I 99.9% take 8.5, So I went down a size to an 8. They just fit, no room for winter sock, and also a bit narrow feeling, a lot of heel slippage though. Ordered a 9. Much better but all around feels larger than just a 1/2 size up.. length, width, and weight (they're heavy). Still have heel slippage... going to use a thick innersole. as for look.. LOVEEEEEE... glittery without looking like a disco ball, and gives a lil height, :-) ` Comes with the ribbon lace, and regular laces. as always thank you Zappos, for your choices and free shipping and EASY returns.

I LOVE these boots!! They immediately caught everyone's attention at the music festival I went to. They added a couple of inches to my height & made me shine in the dark!! Now just don't forget to break in your Doc's before you wear them.. If you don't have time double up on them socks boo!

I love them. So awesome. I haven't worn them out of the house yet but still lots of stars for aesthetic alone. They're relatively comfortable, and I assume they'll wear like Docs I've had in the past, which molded to my feet and got comfier with wear. The only thing is, I don't know how to care for them and I'm a little worried they will get beat up and I won't know how to preserve their beauty.

I usually fit into a size 8.5 in most shoes. After reading reviews, I purchased these in an 8 and there's definitely still room. They fit me like a 9 would. I also have narrow feet so that may make a difference. These will work perfectly with an insole or thick socks. The glitter on the white is understated so there's not too much going on with the shoe but just enough to give an outfit the pop it needs. Can't wait to wear them! I saw the other colors in the store and found the glitter to be a bit much.

This is my first pair of Doc Martens but won’t be my last. I thought the glitter look was funky and interesting so I ordered them on a whim because Zappos is so great about returns, I figured if they didn’t work out I could just send em on back. They look even better in person! I got the green glitter because I thought it would be a little more eye catching than the other options and I’m obsessed with them. They came laced with the ribbon laces as pictured, but a pair of regular laces was also included. I swapped out the ribbon for the regular laces and love the look. I’m normally a 5.5-6 and after looking at sizing info and other reviews, I sized down to a 5. They seemed a little snug at first and I was worried I might have to send them back as the tongue was very tight against the ankles and top of my foot, but after wearing them and walking for a bit they steadily grew more comfortable. I think the 6 would have been too large; I can wear these comfortably with socks of medium thickness and would probably need very thick socks to make the 6 work. I work retail and being on my feet so much means I need very comfortable shoes. Despite my initial worries about the shoes being too tight, they are comfortable enough for me to wear to work, which I am so happy about! They are cute and different without being overly flashy. Highly recommend!

as expected, they run a bit large, but I was too worried to get the smaller size. My daughter said she'd wear thicker socks and they'd be OK....Shoes are as described...very cute and laces nice. Unfortunately my daughter nixed the glitter look though so we returned them! Zappos doesn't carry the style of doc martens that she really wanted.

Gorgeous. Green glitter made my heart skip a beat. Unfortunately they run big and the smallest size (uk 3) was too large. Sadly had to send these back.

Shoes are really stiff and gave me terrible blisters. Not sure what to do to break them in.
