First: I'm short Second: I ride a motorcycle I purchased these boots as a potential option to add some height. I needed to be more stable when I put my feet down. These boots ment the criteria I was looking for: Above ankle Cushion around top edge Serious tread for traction. Non slip surface. Low enough platform to slide under the clutch Tall enough heal for flat footed stability.

I wear these with a small insert for added arch support. When I first purchased these, I wore them to an NFL football game (warm/hot day in Florida). We had to walk 1.5 miles from the parking lot to our seats. I was able to walk the fast paced 3 miles that day. My feet were pretty sore by the time I got back to the car. These are a bit heavy for this kind of walking (dirt and gravel parking lot, concrete stadium with incline). Yet, these were easy to clean up after all that dirt and gravel dust. On the other hand, I went up north last winter. I’m a Florida girl who loves style and does not possess practical snow shoes. I wore these the entire trip making it through typical travel challenges in the airports and the trips walking through the snow. With thick socks my feet were warm and happy. Plus I had the coolest boots in the area. Once these get broken in, you are good to go. Also, they look super cute with skinny jeans and I’m a curvy girl. Highly recommend!!

I’m normally 8.5, and I ordered the 9 because the size 8 was no longer in stock. It is a little roomy, but that’s okey because I will be wearing thick socks. Otherwise, these are heavy duty boots! I’ve been wearing Doc Martin’s since the 90s! I love them! They’re just a bit stiff when you first try them on.

Been looking for a pair of shorter combat boots with a heel forever! These are my new fav boots. The stable rubber soles make them very comfortable for walking! I'm normally an 8.5, so I ordered the US Women's 9 and they fit perfectly, even with socks.

These are really beautiful. And if you are short, and if you have been looking for the greatest height while also being relatively comfortable, these boots are great. That said, you have to be more conscious about walking at first because it is an adjustment. I wouldn’t hike the Appalachian Trail in these, but they are great for around town.

For the height of the heel, this shoe is surprisingly comfortable. It does not "feel" tall at first, and the balls of your feet only get tired after standing for a while. The ankle is also fairly comfortable. I only have discomfort if I tie the laces too tightly, and I have bony ankles. I have not worn these shoes and walked more than 0.5 miles so I can't speak for long distances walks, but they were perfectly manageable and only very slightly uncomfortable. Pre-broken-foot me would probably not think twice about wearing these further, but I am trying to be more cautious since I am recovering. The heel has a tread on it as well as the sole of the shoe which makes it much more sturdy for walking than other heels (the shoe is also on the wider side adding to stability). I am a BIG fan of this because it really makes a difference. The shoe also doesn't clack loudly and your foot can roll more when you step down. The style is super cute, but the one thing I didn't like is that the heel does not look as tall as it is. The width of the sole continues above the heel instead of fading away, so the heel only looks about 3" tall. I was looking for a high looking heel, so this put me off originally, but the other characteristics of the boot eventually won me over.

They're friggin AWESOME

I really like this boot, it is very well made. I ordered both an 8 and a 9, the 8 is a little short and the 9 is a little large, even with socks. I am usually and 8 1/2 and if this boot came in half sizes, the 8 1/2 would have been perfect. I have not decided which size I will keep or if I will send both back as I really like the boot.

I wanted to love these. But they are heavy and clunky. I’m short with big feet and these just looked ridiculous on me. Wish they came in half sizes.

I love these. They are not comfortable at all. But, I feel like a tall bad ass in them. Please consider them if you need some gorgeous feminine boots with an edge

Dr. Martens run large so I always order a size down. I wear an 8.5 so the 8's always fit perfectly. I love these boots! They are comfy because of the platform, even with the 3.5 inch heel. They are stylish and cool. They look great with pants and skirts and instantly update any outfit.

I wish they had half sizes! I’m an 8.5 and ordered a 9. With thicker socks they fit nice and snug so you don’t feel like your foots sliding around in the shoe. Hope they don’t loosen up, but they’re cute! Love Doc airsoles

These shoes look and feel great! I normally need a wide in ankle boots, but these are comfortable as is.

Super cute and sexy with or without socks! Fell in love the moment it came out of the box (I bought extra options). I'm normally 5.5 but didn't even bother to get 6 since 5 was a snug fit - need to use thin socks on my larger foot but it's ok, it'll probably stretch a bit. This is actually my first pair of Docs and hot damn those jelly soles are amazing!!! It feels almost already broken in. I also really like the different patches and pieces with lacing. I also bought the simpler version without laces but these are much better and better constructed, so the other pair is going back. The color is gorgeous! Highly recommend

They are about as comfortable as a high boot can be. They look beautiful as well.

I’m concerned because some of the reviews have yellow stitching and some have black? Are black stitching fakes?

I really like the boot but it only comes in full sizes and the 8 was too short and the 9 was way to big, an 8 1/2 would have been perfect, so I had to send them back. If you are truly an 8 you will be very happy with this bootie.

My daughter loves the boots! The boots fits great and feel comfortable.

I ordered both sizes7 and 8, since my usual size is 7.5. The 8 are big while the size 7 fit right BUT was very painful in the arch. So I ended up keeping the size 8; I can deal with a little larger but not the pain within the arch.

High quality boot. Fashionable. My feet are 10.25 " & narrow. I cannot wear size 10, size 10.5 isn't offered, therefore I order size 11. Size 11 was much too large & wide (even with thick socks). If you are between sizes this boot may not be for you.

These boots are so gorgeous--style, color, etc. Unfortunately, they were not a good fit at the ankle and were uncomfortable. Had to send them back.

Very heavy and a little stiff to walk in. I have other boots that are the same height that I can wear with comfort all day. These are not that kind of boot, unfortunately, and for that purpose I find that I often pass them up for one of the other pairs. They tend to hurt after a couple of hours and I don't like walking distances in them. The style is okay, not great.

I’ve loved Docs since the 90s. Couldn’t wait to get this pair and fall in love all over again. But the front of the shoe above the laces dig into my foot terribly. The height of the heel wasn’t an issue, they were crazy easy to walk in and such a comfortable footbed. But the front was too much. I sent these back for a taller pair that still have a heel. I have skinny narrow feet but a high arch, so that might be the issue.
