I LOVED THESE BOOTS!!!!! But my husband did not like their style, lol. So.... I figured a happy marriage is more is more important than boots. I ended up going with the Born boots I also bought at the same time. But I would HIGHLY recommend these if you are cool enough for this style. Ridiculously comfortable to walk in . Great toe box. Great traction. Lovely leather.... I love them.

First of all BUY THESE BOOTS Specifically, I found these boots to be slightly narrow - but I find ALL Dr Martens to be slightly narrow. If you have expierenced the brand, they are true to their normal sizing. I was hestiant to buy these boots, because I've previously found other styles of Dr Marten to be so stiff they were unbearable. At this point, I won't buy their other boots new because I know I won't be able to get through the break in period. NOT SO WITH THESE. The leather is impressively soft, without being thin or flimsey feeling. I have also found some styles of DR Marten to have uncomfortably hard footbeds, despite their "patented air ware technology". AGAIN NOT SO WITH THESE BABIES. They're seriously nice, padded just enough and only where you really need it. They are seriously stupid comfortable. I will personally need to buy longer lacesto accommodate my luscious drumstick calves, but seriously... that's such a minor inconvenience that I just don't care.

These have just saved my travel woes! I bought these boots from Zappos years ago so I can’t find them in my order history anymore. When I first put them on I thought maybe I had ordered rubber boots. I came back from a 3 day business trip to Montréal, Quebec where every day was below 16F. I knew it would be snowing as well. I needed a tough boot with a no slip sole. I pulled them out and trucked it in and out through snow and ice. I stood for close to 12 hours a day and I feel awesome. Even with back problems, no issues and no blisters. I can’t believe I let them sit all these years. Numerous compliments, even from strangers who would stop to ask me to get them. You just have to work them in. The leather is thick but durable. I’ll be wearing these for many years to come. I’ll never wear any other boot brand again.

I wanted a pair of tall, black, lace-up boots and narrowed it down to these and the Frye Melissa Tall Lace. These won hands down. They’re soooo much more comfortable and less than half the price. They’re a little more casual and bada$$ than the Fryes, but I love them. No break in needed, I’ve worn them with jeans, leggings, and even a dress. Love.

I buy a new pair of Docs every year and have been waiting for these to come back. Being in my 30's now I made peace with knowing there's no way I could wear the OG docs anymore. With break in time it was fine in my teens but ya girl is older now and I have to pick comfort over ego. I love these. I've always been able to wear them straight out of the box with 0 issues. The leather is super soft. The toe box was a little tight to begin with but broke in as I wore them. My first wear with them was to a Falling in Reverse and Avenged Sevenfold concert in SLC. We had GA lawn seats and were on an incline the entire night. By the time we got back to the hotel I was still comfortable with 0 discomfort. If you're looking for out of the box ready to wear boots. Go with docs.

LOVE these Doc Martens! I had not worn Docs since I was a teenager and had forgotten how much I love the style. The zipper is a huge plus!

These are great right out of the box. It’s difficult to find full zip boots that will accommodate my ankle foot orthotics. I’ve tried expensive designer boots (Jimmy Choo, Guisseppi Zanotti) and they’re great without my inserts. The leather is soft. The full side zip is wonderful. And the look good on my little chicken legs...

The shoes came via Amazon but they were not in the DrMarten box. I store my boots in their proper box when not wearing them and this is unacceptable. Since Zappos has gone to FBA things are not as good with them in my opinion. They are not there to monitor what Amazon employees are doing with their shipments. Will be sending these shoes back and buying elsewhere. Come on Zappos this is not what you want going forward and you should go back to fulfilling out of your own warehouse.

The great thing about Doc Martens is that they're essentially Unisex boots. I'm a man, who actually received these as a gift a few months ago, and I couldn't be happier with them. Breaking in my last pair of 20-Eye Docs just about destroyed my feet, and after a long day in them the last thing you want to do is unlace and force them off your feet. The zipper on these is the best thing ever done to a pair of impractical boots. They are already broken in, the leather soft and supple, and they flex in all the places you need them to when you're walking. Traditional Docs like the 1460 aren't exactly waterproof, but it takes a lot to soak through that leather. Unless you submerge them completely you'll stay dry in most situations. The 1B60 20-Eye will offer some protection, but the addition of the zipper gives a means for water to leak in. I can't speak to the price listed here as mine were a gift, but I would definitely pay this to replace these boots if I needed to.

The boots are really kicky! I love them. I bought them for work in the winter when I want to wear skirts. They don't go with everything but with the right outfit, amazing style. I am older and the boots give me a younger look, with it. Very, very comfortable right out of the box which is great. Like being barefoot, that comfortable. I thought the quality of the leather was very good, overall quality is very good. I have a couple down skirts for winter that look awesome with these boots. LOVE

My normal shoe size is a 7.5 to an 8. In Dr. Martens they say to size down. I didn’t and ordered an 8. They fit perfectly. I was worried that having muscular calves they wouldn’t fit. But with the laces, I was able to adjust it so that the boots fit comfortably.

I see they don't make half size I wear a 7 1/2 I gotten a 8 love the style I will have to break them in a little snug around my top part of foot.

The size and fit were great. Dr. Martens are consistent in size, fit, and quality. I feel comfortable ordering online, I know I won't be disappointed.

I have been looking for a good pair of knee-high boots for years but never found them...until now! These boots were way better than I expected they'd be; the leather is super soft and they look really great on! Also, because I have small ankles and really thick calves, it was hard for me to find boots that fit me well but these are so perfect on anyone; you can adjust the straps to tighten/loosen whichever area of your leg you want, to make it fit your leg shape! They're stylish in an understated way, so they're pretty versatile and would go with many kinds of outfits!

these are my favorite boots. they were out of production for years! the toe box is a little more refined on this edition and the leather is pleasantly flexible so the boot zips and unzips quite easily around the curve of my calf. i hope they come out with a few more colors (OXBLOOD PLEASE!!!).

These boots are awesome. They are soft and comfortable while still having ankle support and arch support. I do not have wide calves, I’ve never had to buy boots for wide calves but these were snug. I had to order longer laces so i can get a nice tie at the top. But they are a great look.

They might be a little larger than a true 9. With thick socks they are fine.

I am totally in love with this knee high style of Docs! Not only are they super comfortable, I get tons of compliments on them. They leather is super soft, and I really like that I can adjust the laces for thick socks or thin tights. So glad I bought these boots.

I have owned a pair similar pair to these for 20 years except they didn’t have the laces. They are still in excellent condition but my calves are larger now so I needed something that I could adjust the width. When I received these I was so disappointed by the quality of the “leather” if you can even call it that. I thought maybe I had ordered a vegan boot because the material is so flimsy and poor quality and it didn’t smell like leather either. The description said it’s leather but I can’t see them holding up, VERY bummed out because the style is just what I was looking for and the width adjustment was fantastic but for $200, not worth it at all!

Size and fit were great, but the material was of very thin, poor quality. Since when are Docs made in China instead of England?

Best fitting boots I’ve ever owned. So comfortable and stylish.

I've been looking for comfortable knee high lace up boots with a zip for ages. While these are a bit more casual than I wanted, they are the best I've found so far. The leather is super soft, so no breaking in required, and they have removable insoles so I can put in my own inserts for added comfort. My only tiny quibble is that because the leather is so soft, it slouches a bit around the ankle but I prefer that to blisters, so these are keepers.

I love these boots! It's hard to find tall boots up to just below the knees, but these fit the bill. They're so comfortable and the laces can easily adjust to accommodate larger calf muscles. The stretchable thinner shaft leather is super comfortable. The Dr. Martens sole can be slightly heavy but its durability makes up for it. They are pricey but well worth the money. Love ''em! They're my new favorite boots.
