I have been wearing Docs since 1993. These Wintergrip Docs are awesome for cooler climates. They provide some insulation, but aren't so hot my feet sweat. The leather is a bit thicker than the black greasy, which means they are a little stiffer than the black greasy, but not as stiff as the smooth. The leather looks like the black greasy with the matte black finish. I Wonder Balsam my Docs really well every night for the first few days. It softens up the leather and helps break them in, as well as protecting them and giving them a subtle shine. Docs run large. I wear a 10.5 US mens and a 10 US in Docs fits well. They did not change the dimensions of this boot for the fleece lining, so they run narrower than the average 1460. No room for insoles like I typically use in them. The black rubber added to this sole really does provide good traction. This is a great boot and a welcome addition to the 1460 line.

Love these boots!!! The winter tread really helps on ice and snow. Good job to Doc Martens for recognizing a need and filling it. Would buy these agsin in a heartbeat.

They are still brand new so I don't have a ton to say on the durability or what they are going to feel like once they break in. They are a little bit large, but with a thicker sock (also useful for a winter boot) it isn't a deal breaker. I have fairly low volume feet for how long they are, so this is pretty common. Another common issue that showed up in these is laces that aren't long enough for the size boot. All that being said, I like the amount of insulation, seems like a good middle ground for living in a cooler climate but not spending all day outside in them. If I can, I will update this review once I have worn them for a couple of months.

Worked on the street at minus 5 degrees Celsius. Not frozen. The sole in contrast to the classic non-slip. The insoles are a little crookedly glued and the original box was missing.

I can't seem to take them off. No issue with the boots. It must be user error. I will never take these off.

They do not look like the picture at all. The color is almost a purple color. Not a bad color but definitely not what I was looking for.

Driver for Amazon. LOVE THESE and want more! Waterproof and super durable. Need to tend to them once in a while with a cleaning and lotion/waterproof spray, but if taken care of they are totally worth it.

Boots fit well, make sure to buy 1 size smaller than you normally would as Docs run large. Very thin lining that helps keep feet warm but not hot. Excellent grip and traction! Overall satisfied!

I absolutely love the way these feel, more comfortable than the last pair that I had on my feet

They aren't built like old docs the back strap one one boot broke in 3 wears and the other one went a week later but the bottoms are cool they dont stay airy long tho

I think the boot was quite nice looking. Very sturdy and made from good materials. The leather is stiff and waxy, but seems very sturdy. I have returned the boot however because there was a bad stitching flaw in the inside lining part of the boot where the top of the foot area meets the bottom of the tongue area. They left a flap of excess material that pushes down into the top of your foot making it extremely uncomfortable to wear. This was on the right boot only, the left boot was better with no flap, but it did still have an extra think stitching seam there that protruded out and was also uncomfortable. So I think even though I obviously got a defective boot, there might be an inside stitching problem that can cause discomfort if you have high arches. Also the fact that this defective boot got to me, makes worried that there might be a lack of quality control here. BUT I should say that ZAPPOS made the return very stress-free and easy. So kudos there!

Fits true to size and moderately comfortable (will improve after break in I'm sure) but the build quality from Doc Martens is godawful. This is my 2nd pair after returning the first pair because the pull tags on the top of the boots ripped completely clean off with just a light tug, like they weren't even stitched to the boot. Now on the left boot of this pair there is a big ugly stitching era on the "iconic" stitching pattern around the midsole. It's too bad Solovairs aren't included in the Zappos at work program because having to settle for a pair of Dr. Martens nowadays is really shameful. Oh well, I bought these to beat up at work and that's what I'll do but I'm not hopeful they will last the 6 months until I can get another pair...

I'm tired of being asked too review an item, that I ordered December 15th 2021, and still currently June 14th 2022 have not received.
