I have a very high instep and always need a boot with a zipper in order to get my foot inside. While this boot does have a zipper it is oddly placed; very far back and not centered on the ankle; it was nearly impossible for me to get the boot on my foot. Once I was able to get the shoe on - the size was fine. They were returned; too difficult to wear.

I liked the look of the boots and the tread seemed good. However there was a sharp plastic that protruded between the upper and lower lining. I could not pull or cut it. It scratched my foot and Zappos took them back. They did not have another pair for replacement. Therefore my opinions are not based on use

I like these boots. I have a high arches and instep. I like the black suede, they’re warm and the edginess of the sole. Based on previous reviews, I ordered my usual size 7 and a half size up. I’m keeping the size 7.5. With a thick sock, I take out the footpads and with a thin sock, I use the foot pads. They are a lot more nimble if you plan more walking.

I went up an entire size! I read that they run small and narrow, and they do! I normally wear 6.5-7. The 7 was to restrictive for a boot, but the 7.5????

These waterproof winter boots are perfect!!! I love the look of Uggs, but not arch support or traction!! These beauties have it all! Thanks Zappos for selling many brands, I have never tried Sorel. I will definitely buy this brand again!

I had to go up 1/2 size. The boots are comfortable but watch out in the rain! They are like ice skates! No traction! I had to return them.

These are a little stiff, but they are exactly what I was looking for: a casual, easy to put on, lined (warm) boot for walking the dog on cold winter days. I would also wear them other places. I like the soles. They seem sturdy and are waterproof--they say. I generally find Canadian-company winter boots are the best. They know winter. Fit: I'm never sure what 'true to size' means because shoe companies use different standards. My feet are not wide or narrow, and these seem about right. They were too big for me in 8.5, but the 8 is fine (though a tad snug on my larger foot).

Love boot. bought black and brown for me and my daughter. Definitely order 1/2 to 1 size larger than your regular size.

I really like these! They are very comfortable. I have skinny feet and they fit snug. So, it may not work for someone with wider feet. I’m usually a size 9 and got a 9 1/2.

I recently moved to the Tahoe area and when the first snow fell I realized I needed boots. I was not so interested in appearance as I was in the ability to stay upright on snow and ice. So in other words the tread was of paramount importance. The Sorel Kinetic Short boot has it all. I have been complimented on my boots several times by strangers. They are easy to take on and off. Most importantly, they have good traction on snow and ice.

These boots fit perfectly, zappos moved me up a half a size and it totally worked - the boots are comfy fun amd practical for mn winter

I ordered a half size larger based on a couple of reviews I read. I’m glad I did. I usually wear a 6, but with these boots, the 6.5 is perfect. If you have a foot that is on the wide side or if you have a high instep, I recommend going up a half size. The boots are very cute, snuggly warm inside, and the sole is springy and comfortable for walking. I needed something light but warm for dog walks on cold mornings, and these are just right for the period before winter freeze sets in.

Super comfortable. No need for socks. Love that they're waterproof (but I haven't tested that yet). I normally purchase sz 9 but in Sorels the 9.5 fits me best. Still room for socks if desired!

There perfect for winter! Sized up a full size especially if you plan on wearing thicker winter socks. Very comfortable and lots of support
