The fit is good and overall a good boot. However, these are NOT waterproof. It's disappointing, because they are Sorel boots, they weren't cheap, and they say they are meant for the snow!

I've wanted a pair of Sorel's for a while but was always hesitant due to price. I finally decided to try with Zappos because of their awesome return policy. The look of these boots is decent- they are fairly stylish and they felt like they might keep my feet warm in moderate cold temps. But they didn't look or feel that high quality and the fit was all wrong. I ordered a half size up but they were still too small and have a narrow toe box. Overall not that well made and not that comfortable which is really surprising for how much they cost. Returned (thanks Zappos!)

Finding boots to fit is always a challenge for me due to multiple problems including, but not limited to, my bunions, narrow heels, wide calves, and having one size 7 1/2 and the other 8 1/2. Mediums are often too narrow but wides always too wide. I bought an 8 1/2. While still deciding whether I was willing to take a chance with these boots we got our first snow and I had to go out. I was still pretty comfortable after 4 hours of walking and standing which says a lot. I wish the foot bed was a bit wider but the leather upper is stretching to fit my bunion and the heel is narrow enough so my socks don’t slip. And the tread is great! My 70 year old ego is having a tough time adjusting to old lady shoes so I appreciate being able to get around in winter not looking like a complete dork!

I love these and wanted to own them and tried to own them twice and TWICE I was sent damaged shoes fresh out of the box.

These boots fit great and were comfortable right out of the box. I normally wear an 8.5. If you wanted to wear thicker socks or have wider feet, going up a half size would be prudent. I had a little trouble folding the top over and getting it snapped together but I have larger ankles/caves (dancer) and often struggle to find boots that fit above the ankle. However, once I got them snapped, they looked great. I'm a little disappointed it's the end of the season and I'll have to wait until next winter to really wear them!

So pleased with this boot! Fit and footbed are so comfortable. I'm not crazy about the look of the top of the boot folded down, but that is personal preference. I wear them up and they are great with leggings and skinny jeans, but also are a slim enough profile that you can pull a straight leg jean over the top of them.

Totally worth the money. I haven't found a pair of Sorel's that are not well made and comfortable. Buy up a size only if you want to wear thicker socks. These fit great and keep you cozy with thin smartwools or regular trouser socks. The entire inner is soft and velvety. This is a great practical boot that you can speed along in and can look cute with most outfits.

Got these for my wife for Christmas. After reading the reviews, I decided on going up one (1) size from 7.5 to 8.5 figuring she could wear thick socks if to roomy, plus she'll probably wear them in cool weather. They fit is perfect right out of the box wearing 'normal' socks. As she breaks them in, she'll be able to wear thicker socks if need be. She absolutely loves them! They're comfortable and look great (burro color). I had bought her a pair of Sorel's years ago and she loves those, too. They last forever, look and feel great. Spend the money and get a pair of Sorel. They're a bargain.

I was very tempted to keep these boots, they are beautiful. However, I am afraid that if I do wear them out actively, the narrowness of the toes will be a problem. For that reason I will be returning them.

Cool boot, based on other reviews wasn’t sure about the cuff thing but it worked. It has a snap at the top, you can roll it over with it snapped so it stays tighter. One draw back was the need to snap it when you zip it up. So it’s a two step process. You could leave it undone but it was kind of wonky.

I usually wear a size 10, bought them tts. Out of the box they fit a bit narrow, but not enough to be a deal breaker as they’re leather. I liked them enough to keep. I wish I hadn’t. I’ve worn these about 4 times now, and while the width did break in quite comfortably, I realized they were too short. Unfortunately it’s too late to return and size up for length. Definitely go for a 1/2 size up, and know the width will break in after a couple of wearing a. Unfortunately these are just too short for me and will be a very expensive/new donate.

The Sorel Emelie fit my foot like a glove, right out of the box. No break-in period wondering if they'll eventually work out. I don't think I'll be folding them over as they are a good height standing straight up and they are lined so it keeps you warmer. The shoes are still very new so I can't comment on how well they will wear. I suggest you give them a try if you like the style.

I love these boots! They are so warm and comfortable! They are so cute too! I followed others suggestions and ordered a size up however they were too big. I called customer service and the representative I talked with was so great, she walked me through the return process ( which is super easy!) and took my order for my true size 8. This was on Friday afternoon and replacement boots were here on Monday!! Wow! So cool!! Anyway my regular size fit perfectly even with socks! So my recommendation is to order your size unless maybe you have a wider foot. Zappos has the best customer service of any company I've ever had to work with. I've gotten tons of compliments on my sorel Emilie boots. I'd order them again in a heartbeat!!

I bought these to replace another brand that was similar but missing the zipper. The zipper makes these a breeze to get on. I love being able to fold down the cuff for a different look. I normally wear a 7.5 or 8 and I bought these in an 8 and they fit well. They are slightly narrow, but I'm sure they will stretch after a few wears.

After reading all the reviews about the width, I still ordered my normal size of 8.5 as I have a slender foot and I do not like to wear thick socks. The boots arrived quickly in time for the polar vortex and snow. They are a bit snug when you first put them on but upon wearing them around the house they adjusted nicely and my foot was comfortable. I wore them several days in a row, they kept my feet warm and comfortable and dry while running around town and stylish enough to go out for dinner with friends. I got several compliments!

Just received them and have worn once. Boots fit great out of the box - but I ordered a half size up thanks to the other reviewers.

Love this boot! I sized up half a size as I usually do in boots so I can wear a thin smartwool sock in them. I was worried the fake shearling wouldn’t be warm, but it was, my feet stayed toasty and dry. Wore them walking all over cold and rainy Copenhagen and my feet were happy, happy, happy!

I am in love with these boots! For reference I wear a somewhat narrow 9.5 and bought the 10 and they are true to size. Perfect to wear cozily without socks and fitted with. I’m a mid 30’s mom and needed some daily winter gear without feeling “dumpy” but staying comfy. These are gorgeous, I purchased the Camel color and they go with everything. Like a wear out to dinner more chic Chestnut Ugg. So great for staying stylish in light snow and cold weather.

I guess I’m just not a Sorel customer. I’ve ordered this pair in an 11 and in a 12. I was swimming in the 12 and my toe was hitting the end in the 11. Cute boots, regrettably they will be going back.

Cute, comfortable, but I can’t seem to get the fold over to look as cute as in the pictures. Still a great boot!

These are warm, comfortable and attractive. I've only had them a short time.

Beautiful, but I have a high arch which made the boots too tight.

Great winter weather boot. The fleece lining makes these warm and cozy. They are waterproof and decent traction. The zipper on the outside took some getting used to, but these are very easy to get on and off.
