I wear a 9.5 in most shoes. Sometimes I have to go up to a 10 (like in the Sorel Joan of Arctic boots, and most of my athletic shoes). After reading reviews, I was really torn which size to order, but ultimately decided on a 9.5- and it fit! Zappos shipped them quickly, as always, and they arrived fast, too. The shoe fits perfect and is very comfortable. I prefer to wear very thin socks, though, so if I wanted to wear a thick sock I'd need the 10. The footbed is slightly narrow, so if you have wide feet, these are not for you. The day after I received these shoes, I wore them for a full day at my office, with lots of walking around. They were very comfortable and got lots of compliments.

I wasn't sure if I'd even be able to get this shoe on my foot. I have very high arches and anything without zippers on the sides or back I usually cant get on. To my surprise my foot slipped right into these! I was so happy! And the arch support is excellent! So glad I made the purchase!! Very comfortable!

I loved these boots. The cattail color suede was gorgeous, the fit was good (I usually wear 8.5 in dress shoes but take a 9 in athletic shoes and boots with socks), and the wedge very stylish. I decided to send them back as I wondered how stable the heel would be in rain, and since they were supposed to be rain boots, I couldn't really justify another pair of regular booties. They are well-made so I might just have to make room in my closet for them!

These boots are exactly what I was looking for. I commute in a city and need to navigate multiple slushy blocks, but don’t want to have to change shoes when I get to work. I’m on my feet all day and these keep my feet warm, but not too warm, and plenty of comfort. The deep tread on the bottom helps for a good grip. The wedge isn’t too dramatic in real life, but enough to help feel prettier and less bulky in the winter. Toe box complaint want an issue for me, but I could see it be an issue if you have a slightly wider foot. I might get a second color, these boots are perfect.

I adore these shoes; I now own them in 3 colors - taupe, silver and black. I can wear them all day long and they remain comfortable.

I love these wedges - they will be my go-to Black booties this season. I went with my normal size of 8-1/2 in these. With Sorels, I have a few 8-1/2 and a few in size 9 depending on the shoe model. At this size I can only wear a really thin sock but the 9s were enormous in comparison so I went withy the 8-1/2.

Saw these boots on sale last year and they sold out in the color I wanted. When it came time to replenish my fall boot supply this year, these were back in stock and I'm so happy I snagged them up! I've only had them for a couple of weeks but so far I've worn them in the rain, walked through puddles, worn thick and thin socks and spent long days in them with no complaints! They fit pretty well; originally when I first put them on they slipped in the heel a bit, and I thought I would need to order a half size down. Having worn them many times since then, I'm glad I decided to stick with a 10. It gives me room to wear thick socks and for my foot to adjust during the day without the shoe feeling too tight or pinching my toes or heel. Overall I couldn't be happier and might even order another color! Sorel is an awesome brand - you really can't go wrong so don't be afraid to order multiple sizes to find the right fit for you - it's well worth it!

These boots are beautiful and so comfortable. I was concerned they would be narrow after reading other reviews but I don't have any problem with the fit. They feel like they were already broken in the first time I put them on, and I could walk in them all day. I love that they are waterproof, I can wear them all winter long here in rainy Seattle.

These boots are gorgeous! I really like the look, the quality and surprising comfort and support they provide. I got the Quarry color and I really like it...great neutral shade that can be easily dressed up or down. The updated sole and waterproof material makes these boots perfect for fall. The best part was how fast these boots shipped! Thanks, Zappos! I might just get these in another color.

I really wanted to love these boots. They are adorable on and a beautiful brown color. However, they dug into my ankle which made them unwearable. They did fit true to size but I have a pretty narrow foot.

On one of the shoes there is an area with A LOT of snags. Pretty disappointed with them in that aspect.

Super cute! There is a really big arch though, so that made the boot uncomfortable. I have high arches so I usually like good arch support, but it was like there was a big hump in the middle and that's where all my weight was resting. Had to send them back...

the right one slipped a little as I ordered a half size up. I would have kept them but I didn't like the look of the oiled leather.

I am really on the fence about these boots. I have had trouble with the Sorel brand in boots forever and these were the first ones that I felt like I would probably keep. However true to Sorel form in my opinion, you have to size way up. I'm typically a size 7 and I had to go all the way up to an 8 in these and they are still a bit narrow in the toe and I don't have wide feet. Problem is with going all the way up to fit the toe area, it does slip a little in the back so that concerns me. However they are extremely comfortable to walk in. The insole is very cushiony and comfy. Driving is a little odd if you were going to drive long distances because they do kind of hit the top of the ankle but walking wasn't a problem for me. My issue with comfort however is that these really can't be worn without socks that go over the top of the boot. Unfortunately the goring on the side rubbed the outsides of my ankles practically raw. I was hoping to in slightly warmer weather wear them with jeans cuffed at the bottom, That's kind of a funky look if you can see your socks. I was just hoping for the price that there really would be no issues. I may still keep them because they're a beautiful looking boot and are comfy and wearing socks would absolutely curb the ankle issue.

These run a little smaller than the Joan of Arctic Wedge II which I wear very comfortably in 7.5, but these in 7.5 felt smaller. Also the elastic part on the outside rubbed my ankle pretty harshly and would have surely resulted in a sore or blister had I kept them. I love the look, but the fit wasn't right for me.

I like the shorter shaft of this style and bought two pairs in the color of Burro and Camel brown 2, both in size 8. The Camel brown 2 is noticeably tighter around the arch than the Burro colored pair. I feel it might be inconsistent quality control? Both pairs are very hard to put on and take off. After trying these on and off, I tried the 3rd pair in Sorel Joan of Arctic Wedge II, the later feels more roomy. Though I really don't like the tall shaft of the 3rd pair, I'm keeping the 3rd pair and returning these two.
